We sold two cars to Mount Vernon Motors who were superb to deal with. Unlike the experience you would get with we buy any car or Bridgend Motors in Ayrshire who want to charge fees and debate minutia, the whole experience was fair, transparent and honest. Probably for the first time in my life I did not feel under pressure or cajoled into something I didn’t want to do when dealing with the car industry. I wish there was a special rating that I could give these guys as they really helped me out. My Jaguar XF had just been written off by my insurance company in the morning of 28th January 2021 and I had no way to get home as public transport doesn't run past my work and social distancing rules meant I couldn't get taken home by a colleague. I only had £1,200 in my account and I didn't want to use a credit card or loan to buy a car that I would only be using temporarily. I am applying for a large mortgage and taking on any new or increasing debts would negatively affect the mortgage application so I had to avoid that. I saw a Vauxhall Vectra for £1,295 at Mount Vernon Motors and quickly went round to have a look at it. My first impressions were that every member of staff I spoke with were friendly and courteous. I was treated with friendliness and respect despite being in for such a cheap car. I straight up admitted my situation to the dealership and they agreed to knock the £95 off the sticker price for me. At the dealership itself I cannot fault them at all. I have bought more expensive cars at Douglas Park and Taggarts Jaguar and both gave me less of a personal service and even basic courtesy than Mount Vernon Motors. The aftersale support is also something I am very happy with. I lost the New Keepers slip so I couldn't tax the vehicle but when I called the dealership they were able to work out the reference number from the V5C reference and then some trial-and-error testing with the DVLA website. It worked and I was able to tax the vehicle. I am genuinely impressed by these guys. To a man (and lady) they were all a pleasure to deal with and I am honestly shocked by how good a service I got on a £1,200 Vauxhall that's 12 years old. There's no way this garage was making much money on the deal but they treated me first class nonetheless. I would love to give this garage more business, but after I run this Vauxhall for another year the Tesla Cybertruck will be available and that's what I will be getting. Fantastic service and I couldn't recommend them more. - Ryan

Excellent to deal with a family business for a change rather than the big franchises or other places full of Jack the lads looking to make a few quick bucks. Everyone in the family was very friendly both when buying and with aftersales. There was no pressure to buy the car or additional services. The car was ready when promised and well presented.
