Recently brought my new car from CarStore Gloucester. The experience was totally hassle free & a pleasure dealing with Elliott from the team, he was friendly, kind & patient with me. Everything was fully explained in detail and there was no pressure with any of the extras. I was nervous at first as the car I wanted to buy wasnt actually at the Gloucester store & therefore I wouldn't see it till it arrived..! Elliott reassured me and explained the process of getting my car to Gloucester, I would then have 2 weeks to see if I wanted to keep my car. I'm glad I trusted Elliott as I love my new car..!! Connor was superb to deal with... test drive was all arranged and on time - explained all the process to purchase and some great servicing options. I bought the car and the pick up went smoothly with Connor very efficient at dealing with all the paperwork for trade-in, taxing new car and transferring ownership on the DVLA site. Absolutely over the moon with Connors efforts from start to finish when buying my Audi! I received a prompt phone call arranging a test drive shortly after enquiring about the vehicle online. Bought my car here 12 months ago, plus a competitive MOT and service pack. You get a timely reminder when these are due and they are easily booked. I decided to wait for my MOT and service which was a bit of a mistake on my part as the car was a little late going in to the garage, meaning that my wait was longer than expected. However, Olivia is very proactive and kept me up to date with progress and furnished with coffee! Car was fine and arrived back clean and shiny inside and out!

I Bought my BMW 520D from them back in December last year and I have now had the car for 12 months. I have not had a single problem with it. The service I received throughout the whole process was fantastic. Connor was the salesman who sold me the car and he really looked after me. I work as a salesman myself and I appreciate that he didn't try to go in with the hard sale. I walked in looking for a cheap £500 car just to get me by for a few months until I found something I really liked. He politely explained that all of the cars were of a higher spec and therefore were a bit pricier than what I was looking for but still invited me to go onto the forecourt and take a look. Not many places would have done that! It worked out well for him though as I found the car I really wanted and ended up spending close to 13K instead! The whole process was so quick and smooth and I couldn't have been happier. I will definitely buy my next car from them. Very good. Had a couple of reasons to return the car for checks as the handbrake didn't hold the car on my drive, fuses had blown on the chargers and USB and the stop start refused to work. Elliott Gale was very patient with me and got all of it sorted but advised me the hand brake was as good as it could be. Obviously I was concerned at this thinking it would fail it's MOT so he tested it and passed for no charge. Will most likely be returning when it's time for an upgrade.

We bought a car from here, but it was located at another branch. Everything went through and we were told we'd get a call on the Monday to arrange a time to pick it up. Got the call, and were told it had failed the prep, and they won't be selling us the car, despite the fact we had been told that it had been prepped, and had new tyres and new brakes... so this didn't sit right. We phoned the other store as potential buyers, and they said they'd sold it. So at this point we'd been outright lied to. We turned up at this branch, and then had a discussion with a guy (not mentioning names at this point), he continued to run with the failed prep story, which we strung out to see how long he'd go with it... he wasn't going to tell us the truth, so we landed our findings on him. Obviously we were fuming at this point. We then spoke to Ryan, the head of business, and Sam, both of which were awesome. Sam was really good at his job to be fair, and Ryan couldn't do enough to try and put it all right for us... they both did their absolute best. We had to go elsewhere buy the car we'd essentially already bought, but I still walked away with a replacement for my car from here. It all worked out, and Sam and Ryan stuck with us until we were happy. Although it was a bit of bad situation, it all worked out in the end.... Sam should be the stand in manager, not the lying one :)

I needed a small automatic car for my wife and thoroughly searched locally eventually discovering a three year old Vauxhall Corsa for sale at Car Store. The car had a low mileage and a very competitive price. So we made an appointment to view the vehicle. We met a helpful salesman called Connor, who showed us the car and arranged for a test drive. I examined the car in detail and could find no faults. Quite honestly, I was surprised at the excellent condition. The car drove like a brand new car. So I bought it. I did not take the car straight away as, because it was approaching three years old, Car Store carried out a free MOT. When we collected the car another very pleasant salesperson, Sam, did all the paperwork for us. I was impressed by the attention to detail at every stage. The car had been valeted and was immaculate. My wife drove it and is so pleased.

Got our car a couple of years ago from here. Saw a car we liked at a good price so got the train from London to buy and take home. Arrived extremely hungover and confused having walked from the station on a Sunday morning. The car was there, it looked great, we had a test drive, it was exactly what we wanted and the price was very competitive. Time to buy it. The staff were very friendly and professional but they were very under-staffed on the day and it took almost 5 hours to just take the payment and do the few minutes of paper work. These guys buy via auction from lease/corporate hire, touch up at their HQ (Leeds I think) and then send off to one of their show rooms. Great, I don’t want the personal fees and stress of auction so happy to buy through Car Store. However, getting the car home, on closer looks (being less hungover and excited while simultaneously pushed to the very limits of patience) I noticed the touch up jobs post auction house to be cheap AF. I would rather they hadn’t done anything before the resell. The front bumper had been resprayed very badly and cheaply to cover a few chips. The paint was slightly matted (non matching), and you could see drips marks where it had been layered too thickly. There was also tape marks around the headlights. The same went for the rear bumper and bonnet. Big dollops of paint that don’t even cover the chip and stick out like a little hill. Feels like they had 30 cars an hour to sort out and not enough time to double check if the finger-covered-in-paint-and-smudged-on-the-gaps approach had done the job or not. I also found the spare tyre well to be half filled with water due to a leak through the fuel cap actuator, but my fault for not looking properly. The price I paid might have well be representative of these factors, as mentioned I was very happy with the price and the car overall. Just make sure you have a proper look around the vehicle and the details. You get a bit of a mechanical warranty but aesthetically you are on your own as soon as you leave. If I can’t be brave/stupid enough to get my next car from auction, I will probably look to car store again. Just please do the touch ups better or not at all.

Reserved the car online for a small deposit (really like that). When i arrived, was greeted by a young man (forgot his name) and he asked us to take a seat and offered drinks etc (so good so far). Bought a used Mercedes CLA AMG Line Night ED + from Car Store Gloucester in Nov 2020. Orignally spoke to Connor at first point of enquiry. Connor was very helpful. He had taken a personalised video and it was fantastic! In the process i was passed to an alternative salesman that looked after the deal. I noticed a few marks on the vehicle that should have been rectified considering the price(22k) and the age (2019). I was told by the alternative salesman that he won’t rectify any of the issues(considering there was three scuffed alloys and dents on a 19 plate along with one key). Eventually i spoke to the Dealer Principal Ryan who was very helpful and came to an agreement to get certain things rectified straight away. Connor was fantastic at every single point of contact with me! Definitely recommend. your car buying experience through Connor at Car Store Gloucester! (p.s Will was also good)

Paying a reservation fee was useful, especially since it is refunded if you do not buy the car. I have to update this review - I was sitting, stewing, at Car Store Gloucester annoyed about the situation but a chat with Olivia has turned everything around. It originally looked like I was going to be spending most of the day here but that has changed and they've been very helpful and sympathetic. Whilst it's important to get things right at the start, I'm now happy with my purchase because Car Store have displayed outstanding customer service and are happy to rectify all issues and have been highly apologetic. I can't bump it up to 5 stars but it definitely deserves 4 stars - buy with confidence that the support is there if needed! As far as the travelling and waiting is concerned, Olivia has just explained that one of the benefits of buying with Car Store is that I have a 3 months AA warranty which means that I can take my car to any AA approved dealer so no need to travel to or wait in Gloucester! Wish that had been properly explained at the start by whomever went through the details with us but now I (and you!) know! Pretty impressive stuff :) Not the bad decision my original review below describes! Bought a car from Car Store Gloucester - what a bad decision! We received the car after a ‘deep clean’ - not sure what they do on a deep clean but these are the things that they missed: There was a water bottle lodged under one of the seats - a 500ml water bottle that had been overlooked during their servicing and cleaning! There was some gooey substance - it looked a bit like chewing gum- in one of the door pockets. We got it off easily with a wet wipe but you have to wonder why we were the ones doing it after if had been cleaned?! There were somethings that looked like bones in the cup holders in the rear passenger seat - obviously cleaned really well! I’ve got photos of these - will post if I can. In addition, we’ve had to book in for the front passenger seat to be fixed as it doesn’t go forwards and backwards. The rear passenger door doesn’t shut properly either so it’ll probably leak when it rains heavily. We now have to spend two hours travelling and then wait around for the fix - that’s the service you get at Car Store Gloucester. Sound like the sort of thing you want to PAY for?!

Needing to get ourselves a new family size car we had tried various dealerships and car sales places. We turned up 11am one Sunday morning and by 3pm walked out having got ourselves 2 cars and part exchanged our existing car!!! Elliott, Will and Jordan were extremely helpful. Elliott discussed our wishes and criteria and allowed us to test drive some cars. Then we informed him of our budget and what was important to us with cars and he found 2 perfect cars for us. The environment was good for our poor son who had to wait a long time but he didn't complain as he was able to draw and use the game pads and had water on tap!! The staff even gave him a football to play around with. Will took control of our existing car and worked out the moneys and arrangement for part exchanging and he also sent us videos of the valet of the new car we were getting and informed us of time scale. He was also very patient with the test drives of the new cars and taxing the vehicles. Elliott rang us to inform us they were going to collect the cars 4 days early and they would be ready however we were unable to collect until the pre arranged time but this was fine with the staff. We were contacted via e mail and phone and were kept up to date with any developments. Including, as me tioned before, the valet. Jordon assisted with the smoothness of completing all the paperwork and he made sure we had insurance tax and AA cover before we left. I have heard some bad reviews in the past and was a little wary, however, all credit to these 3 young lads who were professional at all times. Courteous and accommodating. Good prices but some worrying sales processes. Bought a car I'd seen online which thankfully reflected the £100 admin fee that seems to be magically added to all car prices (wonder why they do this, perhaps there's a different tax rate for admin fees?) The bring the car to me feature (for a £200 deposit) is a great idea and worked well. I see sales guys have been singled out in other reviews for high pressure sales. Whilst I wasn't overly pressured to buy dent insurance and other stuff I don't need, I did have to sit through explanations and demos. Basically, it felt as if the sales guy was, himself, under pressure to do so. I therefore think the high pressure sales mentality is endemic to the company rather than the individual sales guys. Be warned. The proscribed test drive is all a bit odd, but I could cope with that. ALL other garages just sent me off with the car on my own with a limited amount of fuel in the tank. At this point I was happy and wanted the car. So why only 3 stars? The wierd began when I agreed to buy. I was forced to sign multiple documents confirming that I didn't want all the extra insurance stuff. This is clearly just high pressure sales techniques built into their process. Last time you went to a supermarket to buy milk were you forced to sign a document confirming that you'd been offered eggs too? Yeah... no. It was made very clear to me that I couldn't have the car unless I signed all this, and at that point my lift had left. Had I not needed to be somewhere promptly I would not have signed anything other than that I was buying the car. The next small but significant issue was the Evans Halshaw stickers (4 of them) in the window. Including one that advertises their quality assurance. They didn't pay me for sponsorship so I removed them just to find that one has security features leaving the word 'void' plastered all over the window. I mean, seriously, do they have a problem with people fraudulently putting stickers in the window of random cars and demanding after sales care? Madness.

Fantastic experience at Car Store Gloucester. Went in to have a "quick look" at options for new family car, and were given so much choice that before we left we had asked for a car to be moved down to the Gloucester location for test driving. I was very happy to be able to choose a car and leave with it the very same day. Drew and Poppy were very helpful and were able to provide me with all the information I needed. It did take several hours to get everything done though. The only problem was that there was not enough fuel in the car as the engine cut off before I could leave. I went back in and Will at the Car store went to the petrol station to fill up a gerrycan so we could go on our way. I chose to take the additional packages drew offered and explained to me for the peace of mind as I have never financed a car before. However, it did increase my payments quite a bit. I'm having a couple of teething problems with the car but I'll get it all sorted soon enough.

I bought a Nissan Quashqai + 2 about a month ago from this branch, to be honest I nearly didn't as the first sales assistant I dealt with didn't seem very interested in selling the car and I was very disappointed with the customer service, I actuality very nearly walked away from the car until I saw another sales assistant called Guy Beckett, he was fantastic from start to finish! He genuinely seemed to want to help and provided me with all the information I needed about the car, also there were a few scratches on the car, and a few other little niggles that I wasn't quite happy with and he did everything to sort this all out for me and phoned me every step of the way to keep me informed! When i did pick up the car everything that guy had promised he would get sorted he did! And I can honestly say I love the car!! Reserved an RX-8 online, paid the £200 reservation fee, with some reservation after having read the reviews here. Unfortunately, the seats were not height adjustable, and being 6ft4 found it to be a real struggle to get a comfortable seating position. After looking for the perfect rx-8 for weeks this was really gutting! I got home and called them the same day to say that I was not going to purchase the car, and the £200 was refunded in a few days. The staff I saw and spoke to, Sam and Luke, couldn't have been more helpful. I don't usually leave reviews but I feel like the current 2.5 stars isn't a fair reflection at all. I would definitely visit again!
