Today has been a fantastic day with Daniel and Ian. Originally I came into the car store wanting a blue Citroen C3, Ian had let me look at the car and browse it. I was a bit disappointed in the car because online it looked bigger, as I was wanting a family car. But then Ian had said I could look at other cars and he was very helpful at getting the prices and giving me different quotes. I then saw a Vauxhall grand land X which I immediately fell in love with, and Ian had got the keys for me and we took a look inside and the out. Then Ian has set up for me to take a drive round with the car with my dad. I immediately fell in love driving the car! I then came back to the car store and confirmed that I wanted the car! Ian and Daniel were really good with sorting out the paperwork and getting my finance set up quickly and was able to get it sorted in time for me to take my car home today! In the process both Daniel and Ian were good to chat to and should be comedians! I’ve never felt so happier and more confident with a car. On the bright side Ian makes the best cups of tea!

Excellent service from the whole team! Daniel was faultless, found a car I wanted and he sorted it out so i could drive away the same day! Recently had MOT here. They were so helpful and accommodating when I stupidly turned up on the wrong day! The Service Manager very kindly managed to sort it so I didn’t need to come back again so I just had to relax in Costa across the road for 50 minutes whilst they did the mot. Recently bought a Ford Fiesta from here and I can honestly say I've never been given the level of customer service these guys did. In particular Jone Tang. Unfortunately I had some issues with my purchase regarding finance but Jone kept on top of it everyday even on his days off and got it fixed, he even picked me up from work when I needed to complete the paperwork. Can't stress how helpful these guys were. Great coffee machine too! Thanks Car Store, very happy with my Fiesta.

This was an excellent car buying experience. Customer parking was easy, reception staff were pleasant and welcoming. In my case I had a specific car I was interested in. The two members of staff I dealt with were Joe and Daniel - neither went in for high pressure sales and both were exceptionally helpful in answering questions and ready to do things that I requested as part of the pre-sale agreement. They keep me informed of all developments. The real test of a dealership is what happens when things don't quite go to plan. Daniel was flexible in changing arrangements and very ready to sort things out when queries arose. From first enquiry to final collection everything was explained, no pressure sales patter and a willingness to meet customer requests. First rate experience for me!

Great car buying experience. The team were fab, correspondence prompt, any queries sorted quickly. Recently came in with a part exchange, found a car I was interested in buying, we had a party to attend so had to rush off, Dean took my number and said he would call me that afternoon and we can go through next steps over the phone, Daniel carried out valuation for us and we left. Didn’t hear anything after a few days, came back to store in person as my online requests for a call hadn’t been followed up, car wasn’t available so we purchased another elsewhere, Daniel couldn’t have been more apologetic as with 3 children in tow each time it was more hassle than it had needed to be. He had to carry out a new sale valuation losing us £1000 on the original trade in price, not his fault, very frustrating though. Thanks to Daniel for being friendly yet professional and efficient

Would I recommend this place? YES. My husband and I went to the car store in Ipswich to look at cars, we thought it was going to be the start of a very long day going from car place to car place. Well that was not the case. When we arrived we were greeted by Dan (the manager), he was very upbeat and bubbling. He was very friendly, he informed us that they were a little short staffed that day so the wait may be longer than usual and he apologised for this. This was only the start to how brilliant Dan was. You would not have been able to tell they were short staffed, everyone was very professional and helpful. Nothing was too much. We were able to walk around and look at cars without having staff jump on us like I have experienced at other places. We then found the car we wanted, we were offered a test drive and told we could have as long as we needed. We decided this was the car we wanted. Lee then took over and went through all the paperwork with us. To say he was brilliant is an understatement, he even went above and beyond and rescued me and my 2 year old from a bee, the girly screams that came from him whilst doing it made it even more entertaining. I got a call that evening from Dan to say all had gone through and I could collect the car from the next day. When collecting the car Ashley dealt with us again he was great, very helpful. He offered to help as I had my two year old with me and needed to move my car seat which was awesome as this time I was on my own with her. The car is brilliant. I love it and we felt it was reasonably priced. It was cleaned and everything done. I was also advised that I would be entitled to a free MOT in September. We also part exchanged our car and that was made so easy and we got a good price for it too. A week later the battery on my key fob was running low and they have changed it for me without a fuss. A few days later I made a mistake and cancelled my direct debit to my old car then discovered I still needed to pay it if it wasn’t completed within 2 days. Dan straight away put me at ease and said he would do what he could. Dan got it sorted. I didn’t have to worry and everything was sorted. This all went through before the new deadline I had created by accident. Amazing teamwork from everyone there. I would highly recommend this place for getting a car. I will be recommending to everyone I know.

However the team at car store went into overdrive the next morning to identify and rectify the problem. They went out of their way to get the process finalised and my car is now on its way to me. Not a very satisfactory customer service. Until you choose the car the stuff is very efficient and friendly but after you agree the deal with them the attitude change. After using the car for a week we found out that one of the e-keys lost charge. It’s our first car with e-keys so we didn't really know what to do. We called the store and they advised they need to “order parts” and they would call us later. For the following month nobody called us. After that we had to call ourselves only to find out that what needs to be done is the simple battery replacement. The question is why the car store doesn’t check the e-keys before selling the car in the first place? And why did they initially give is wrong advice and never called back? So we agreed to come to the office to have the battery replaced and they made us sit for 40 minutes until we had to chase them and got an answer that they are doing MOTs. After that though they changed the battery within 5 minutes. So not sure what was the need for keeping us waiting. Overall the range of cars there is very good, the office is nice as well.

They couldn't do enough to help, and Anna is a great customer service rep. I would have given 5 stars except in a response to a phone call from them, we agreed to pick up the car on a specific day, and on arrival it wasn't ready as a small repair that they'd agreed to do wasn't completed. Fortunately, I could hang on a further few days (or could have taken it there and then, and returned it for the repair) so it was no problem, but the communication was just a little off. I needed a car. The car I wanted was a Citröen C4 Airdream and I needed an automatic. There were absolutely none anywhere close to me for sale from a dealer, or any good ones for sale privately. The only automatic the nearest car sales dealer, just 6 miles away had just one, a Ford Mondeo. I looked online, I found some sold privately, gorgeous colours but in the end I decided on a dealership sale so that I could pay by credit card. This was a necessity after having a bad experience with another dealer from Barry that had to be successfully disputed through the credit card company. I almost gave up looking but decided late one night to try once more. Top of the list was a silver one from this dealership, under average mileage, good price and the site had a walk around and inside video. My next door neighbours they would take me there (from South Wales) if I wanted to travel up there to see or buy it and so I called Car Store the next morning and they were brilliant. I asked loads of questions, told them I lived at the top of the Rhondda in the South Wales Valleys. They answered every question, made the procedures that were needed should I buy the car very clear and basically put my mind at rest completely. The car could be delivered at no cost, I could keep it for 14 days or 250 miles to test it and return via their collection if I didn't want it. So no relying on kind neighbours. It would have a full service and MOT and they would have even put my personal plate on it if required. After that it had a full 3 month warranty. I paid them the deposit, also bought the full extra 2 year warranty and asked them to run that after the 3 months dealership warranty had expired, I had it in writing that they agreed. A few days later I paid them the remainder and the deal was done. The car was delivered early in the morning on the date specified. Perfect! Since then only three issues have come up. The battery which was working perfectly for running the car was not up to scratch to allow the ECO start/stop to work. The second was an actuator for the electric window for the back nearside door. The last was the failure of the front nearside ABS sensor. The first too were fixed promptly under the warranties, the battery under the dealership one, the actuator under the extended. Both had to be done in Cardiff Citröen. The latter by the RAC which I am a member of courtesy of the extended warranty. Turned out that all was needed was a clean with degreaser and electrical spray. I was told at point of sale that any work needed under the warranty could be done in any VAT registered garage. I'd not hesitate to reccomend this dealer. UPDATE. It is now February 2022. I've had. They have been faultless.

Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is just how long the process takes to actually buy the car. We had to wait a very long time (or at least longer than we wanted) to physically drive away. We had the test drive booked for 11am and didn't leave with the car until after 2pm. If this was shorted and quicker then it would be 5 stars for sure. But some things can't be helped. I was a little put off that they don't negotiate on price, I would have liked to of known this via the website before hand and the £99 pound admin fee when purchasing seems a bit unnecessary but I did find paying a £99 (completely refundable) reserve fee, very useful especially when I wasn't able to view the car the evening I'd booked in for. The lads in the Ipswich branch were very helpful and friendly, answering all my questions and allowing me to take the car for a long test drive on a variety of roads. Due to the fixed prices there is no hard sell just a little wriggle room on part exchange and added extras like warranty. If you like to think you've got yourself a bargain this isn't the garage for you but if you like a clear honest price and service with friendly staff get yourself down to your local Evans Halshaw.

It's ok. Booked a test drive for a Saturday morning. Had our existing car valued at a ridiculously low part exchange rate - even lower than 'we buy any car'. Took car out for a test drive, no flexibility on price of cars for sale even with no part exchange but it was priced well. A few marks on the car which we asked if they would be sorted out, a photo was taken for manager approval of one but not confirmed it would be done. Standard 3 months warranty comes with car which they have to do by law anyway and from experience these basic warranties don't cover much. Decided against buying the car in the end.

Good service. Just not in agreement with the regiment of test drive process e.g. Driving from a certain point, salesman present on a test drive, and not allowing to be left with engine on. Less scrutiny should be shown when there is genuine intent to purchase. There should also be a direct number for Sales rather than a multitude of switchboards beforehand.

Only 4 star's because we tried to phone in the morning several times, to make an appointment to view a car, couldn't get through, a switch board operator kept saying she would find someone to take our call but either we got cut off or when put through the phone would only ring and ring and ring, oh yes then that awful music would play till we couldn't stand it anymore. That might have been enough to put us off but we decided to make the journey to the dealership in Ipswich anyhow. Glad we did, once there we was greeted by a very helpful chap, who wasn't a salesman but he went out of his way to go and get the car for us, so we could start to look around it until a salesman became free. Which wasn't long. The salesman was very helpful and he arranged for us to have a test drive then and there. We found everybody at the Ipswich dealership to be friendly and very helpful. We managed to get sorted with the car that we came to view. A big thank you to the staff at this dealership. Shame our experience was let down by the phone problems in the first place.
