Great service from Steve and his team and really pleased with my new crew cab van. Supplied me with a vehicle while they prepped my new purchase which looked and drove fantastic when delivered. Real peace of mind knowing that they had thoroughly refurbished the vehicle before handover. Returned with a few minor adjustments as part of the warranty which were quickly sorted. I'll be back for all servicing and mots and will definitely be using Chequered Flag when it's time for my next upgrade. Fantastic service, friendly and knowledgeable guys 👍

Great experience with Steve and his team. It’s a family run business and they have really looked after me. Bought a Nissan Primastar and they put on a 12 month MOT and new tyres on for me. I ended up going back to them twice a few weeks after having the van with some small repairs I’d noticed needed doing (just some rubber and plastic parts that had worn out and a couple of bulbs) and they replaced them for me with no problems and no charge. The team are friendly and helpful and try their best to give you a good experience. It can be a bit nerve wracking buying a used van but they do their best to make sure you take something home that is clean and reliable. I’ll definitely be returning in the future, should any repairs or MOTs need doing.

I've just bought and had my van kitted out by Chequered Flag, an odd custom fit as I work dogs and also work on the railways for a living. They've fitted secure crates for the dogs, and a work bench for when I'm on site, as well as procuring and fitting a shelving unit with hand wash facility, and charging points for some of my site equipment. They even came up with a solution to store my fibreglass tapping poles which are 1.8m long, so they won't be in the way. Absolutely ecstatic with the van and all the work they've done for me, highly recommend. Edited to add to my review, I've had the van since last summer and with my work and long miles it already needs a service, which they are happy to arrange for me and make it as easy as possible to get the van in and back to me. I am so pleased I made the decision to go for a van over a car, and couldn't ask for better service. When I looked on their website at first there were a lot of vans that all looked good value, but when you phone up because of the fast turn around they have not all of the vans I'd seen were available, and some weren't what I wanted necessarily. Steve at Chequered Flag told me not to worry as he was sure they would have one in that would suit, and sure enough within the next couple of days a van came in that was perfect, the mileage and condition was excellent, just what I wanted. So even if you do see a van on their website and when you phone it's not available, they will get you sorted out, and any mileages that might not match are because they've probably sold the van on to a happy customer, like me.

I bought a van from this company roughly 12 months ago it's a Nissan primastar it had 125 thousand on the clock I was told to leave it a couple of weeks while it was prepared I turned up and it looked like a brand new van Fully serviced and mot I've had loads of vans Mainly transits that the turbo went on them this van Is unbreakable it drives like a dream and looks new It's 17 years old! Steve is a honourable man. We never have much luck with vehicles and after setting up a business the van I was using started to fail. I found chequered flag, Steve sat with me in his office and we spoke about many different options. I didn’t feel that I was under any pressure to buy, we chose the van and i picked it up a couple days later and it looked great. There was a couple of issues with the van as buying second hand you are very lucky if there isn’t! Spoke with Steve and with no problem the issues were rectified at a time to suit me, under the warranty provided and a van supplied while the work was carried out so I could continue to run my business. Bought a Renault traffic off Steve, I felt no pressure to buy the van at all, I told him my budget and he showed me what he had to offer. He then took me to see then van and it honestly was immaculate, couldn’t fault the van at all, he started it and let me have a wander around as you do checking for anything that could cause a problem. So i put a deposit down on the van and then The following Tuesday he brought the van up from Leeds to Scunthorpe and took my old van away with him. The preparation he has put into this van is remarkable everything was gleaming. I had a slight issue with the van, to which I called him and he had no issues with rectifying it. He’s a very polite man and he even took some of my business cards for some future work .

What can I say. First van we have bought off Steve. Bought it unseen on his assurance that the van would be fine for a camper conversion. Steve had the windows we required fitted together with a reversing camera. To say we are delighted with the end result is an understatement. Perfect vehicle for a camper build. As an ex utility company vehicle is fully maintained. Updated electrics and leisure system already in place together with a top of the the range diesel heater. Couldn’t recommend them more. It's very rare for me to leave a review, but sometimes a Man has to do what a Man got to do. First of all lets talk about the owner Steve, what a smashing bloke, sat me down in his office, asked a few questions, then listened to what I had to say, he then preceded to show me some vans that he thought were suitable for my requirements, after I had seen the van that I liked, we went back into his office where I was offered a very nice cup of tea, Steve then asked when I would like to pick the van up as he and his team like to get the van in near pristine condition as possible, and I have to say I was more than pleased when I set my eyes on the finish for the first time, I picked the van up on 28th July 2021so you know this is a recent review, also I would just like to mention, talking to Steve is like talking to an old friend easy to get on with, and not at all pushy, Steven wans you to be happy with your purchase, and he and his team will go out of there way to make sure you leave with a smile on your face, his team of workers are also very knowledgeable, and they will answer any questions you have, so to sum, I am very please with my van, and the service I was provided with. Me and my wife visited several times and the lads couldn't have been more helpful. The fact that they're a team that specialise in Vivaro/Trafic/Primastar means they're experts at sourcing the best used examples and turning them round to an incredible standard. Ours was bought to convert to a camper and really is pristine physically and mechanically. The little details make a difference too, Steve stayed in touch after the sale to make sure everything was going ok. The driver's headrest in the van had a slight fault so he sourced us a replacement no problem. They also offer an in house warranty that you can trust. An interesting purchasing experience! I picked a van, Steve said it would be prepared to a high standard and I'd have it in just over a week's time. Sure enough the van was good to go as promised, but unfortunately the V5 had been misplaced - Doh! COVID then played a part and it was 2 months before replacement documentation arrived and the purchase could finally be completed. However .... throughout this period I was lent a van so I could get on with business, it was delivered down to me (90 mins away) and collected when my own van was sent down. Well worth a visit if you need a second hand van!!! Steve and Craig couldn't be more helpful, the vans come to you with all the plastic parts re textured, looking like new. Any dents are removed and reworked to top standard, and should have any initial teething issues these guys just say " fetch it down and we will sort it" and they do!!!

I had a specific colour in mind on my first visit to see Steve and his team, fortunately he had the exact colour and type of van I was looking for, the van Steve had shown me hadn't been prept so I was a little dubious at first, Steve had told me the process it goes through, naturally I wasn't sold at first due to how it looked prior to prepping, he took me into the workshop and was kind enough to walk me through the whole process as another van was in there getting worked on. The attention to detail was on another level, he had a 09 plate van in there and I kid you not it looked absolutely spotless and like it had just been driven out the showroom, this put my mind at ease instantly, I agreed to secure my first van and he was more than happy to keep in touch through the week with a progress report, I picked my van up today and it was perfect, he helped me fill in the paperwork as I hadn't done this before and handed the keys over. Exceptional customer service and all the lads that worked in the workshop are worth there weight in gold, I even got a brew made by Steve before we started the paperwork, my only concern with the whole thing was, he gave me a small cup lol. Steve get bigger cups lol I will definitely be using Chequered flag again when I upgrade my perl of a van.

I can't thank Steve, Craig and Andy enough. We have a bought a few vehicles from them now. Even my daughter went to him to get her first car. Our last vans engine went on us, rang Steve and asked if he would take the van in and find me a car. Told him what I wanted, 2hrs later he had found what we had asked for. 24hrs later it was ready to pick up. Steve and the lads will bend over backwards to help you with whatever you need. We now only use these guys for our vehicles, wether that's buying or anything that needs fixing. A few times I've been down and said I think this is wrong with my van. They have had a look and said no its not that it's this. They won't rip you off whatever. If they think it needs doing then it needs doing. If it doesn't they will tell you. Can't recommend them enough. Only place I will use.

Bought my van here just over 3 years ago, I take it back every year for its mot and service and just had to have it in for a new clutch as it gave up on me. I couldn't have asked for a more efficient service, they lent me a vehicle so I could still get to my customers and had mine sorted for the next day, it drives like an absolute dream, so smooth and to say its now got 125000 on it you'd think it was still pretty new.
