Overall, we had a very good experience with Leeds Motor Company. We firstly dealt with Kevin who arranged for us to have a long, independent test drive. There was never any pressure and when we got to the point of deciding to put a deposit down, we got offered a very competitive price for our car to trade in. There was no messing about with haggling, just straight to the best possible deal. The new car went through the workshop and was made available for us to collect within 2 days of putting down the deposit. On completing the transaction we dealt with James, who again helped things run very smoothly. We are very happy with our new car and the service we received from Leeds Motor Company.

Brilliant experience today, no pressure at all, Kevin let us just take the keys and go out for 40 minutes for a test drive (and also has good banter). Car was in fantastic condition and also got us better rate secured for finance than quoted on Autotrader. Kevin was able to sort it so we drove away the same day within a couple of hours of viewing the car. Very happy with everything. Definitely recommend 10/10. No messing about, upfront and honest.

At the beginning of this week I went to Leeds Motor Company to view a car and was greeted by James Kane. He instantly made me feel at ease and couldn’t help enough. Very easy to talk to and answered all the questions I had and arranged for any work to be done on the car immediately.
A few days later I returned for a test drive and purchased the car. I bought a BMW 1 series from here at the beginning of august.
The customer service was okay, but not the best. I called up before viewing this car to ask about the condition of the car in general, specifically the alloys as I was making a 2 and a half hour trip to view the car and didn't want to waste my time if it was in bad condition. I was assured that the car was in perfect condition and that there was not a chance I'd turn up and not want to buy the car.
I was asked to leave a holding deposit to ensure that nobody could buy the vehicle before I had the chance to go and look at it. I was assured that this would either be taken off the price of the car or refunded back to me. However when I questioned this at the car garage, they said this was in fact and admin fee and I wouldn't be getting it back. Very cheeky and very rude as this was not explained to me when I paid the deposit, quite the opposite. If you're going to ask people to leave a holding fee, please don't lie to them and explain that they won't be getting it back. Don't just throw it on them when they're no longer in a position to dispute it, it's very manipulative and poor customer service.
On arrival the condition was good, but not as perfect as described. The alloys were in a very poor condition and a couple of the tyres looked worse for wear/bold. I disputed this with the sales man and he knocked £90 (fair enough) of the price for the alloys but assured me the tyres were all fine. I did proceed to buying the car and have since had the alloys refurbed so this is no longer and issue.
Another issue I had is that when I was driving home, the car started shaking at any speed over 70mph. This was not apparent on the test drive as I had to test drive with no fuel (literally 4 miles till empty) so there was no opportunity to really test the car out properly. So please bear this in mind if you do go to test drive a car from this dealership. I traded my car in with over quarter of a tank and bought mine with a completely empty tank.
Anyway, I got my car checked out locally for the shaking issue as my thoughts were it was a wheel balancing and alignment issue.... which is was. Upon inspection it was also pointed out that 2 of the tyres were over 13 years old (which would explain the reason they looked a bit worse for wear when I viewed the car), this is bad considering the car itself is only 2016 reg (5 years old). I called Leeds Motor Company to explain my issue and the first response I got was 'Well you shouldn't be driving 80mph anyway) fair enough, no I shouldn't but the issue is still relevant. I also explain that the tyres were 6/7 years older than the car and he replied 'it's irrelevant how older they are, they passed an MOT' which I guess it down to personal preference but I certainly wasn't comfortable with that so I have since changed them. They did however offer to send me £30 towards the wheel balancing bill, which cost me £90 in total which is better than nothing. Just frustrating as if I could have test drove properly I probably would have noticed this before purchasing the car.
I've since noticed that the car didn't come with a parcel shelf, so please check these little things also.
Finally, I part exchanged my old car and it took two weeks for Leeds Motor Company to settle my finance agreement as promised. Which is a bit cheeky as they had it up for sale, yet I wasn't allowed to leave the dealership with my new vehicle until all funds had been cleared.
So all in all, not the best experience. I wouldn't use again but would suggest if you do use this company be aware that you won't receive that 'refundable holding deposit back' and to check everything over properly and give the cars a proper test drive and not just a quick drive down a 20mph road on an empty tank.

I've had the car now for 2 months so feel I can give an honest review. Kevin and Chris were both decent blokes that were friendly and never tried to pressure me into anything I didn't want. They offered me the 12 month warranty and never mentioned it again when I refused it. The car was in good condition which anyone would expect. I had a problem with the rear drivers side brake disk which made a scraping noise when I drove at low speed. I contacted them they passed me onto their garage and the problem was sorted no questions asked (within the 30 days free warranty) I hate the process of buying cars but they made it painless. I had noticed this pitch had Audi’s for sale so I looked round. The sales guy James didn’t have what I wanted but said if I told him what I was after including price range then he would sorta few options out. I was very specific but he still came up with options of ex lease cars about to go into auctions across the country - all in tip top condition with FASH. After about three weeks he sorted me out a Q3 with all the extras. I have recently bought a car with the help of James and Kevin at Leeds Motor Co. Commercial Road. Both were incredibly friendly and helpful. We felt relaxed, no pressure to buy, was free to roam and look around the two cars we had requested to view and able to take for a test drive. LMC are competitive with their prices and we negotiated a fair deal on my part ex. They kept in contact with me throughout and the car was MOT’d and cleaned before we collected.
There were time delays due to Covid rules and regulations and I would urge people not to be put off by this as it isn’t a fault but surly a reassurance that LMC are doing the best they can, we were certainly happy to wait as the service received was excellent.
There was a snag at the last minute, though we have been assured this will be resolved and have every faith that it will be. I would like to say a massive thank you to you both. Highly recommended.

After going through a lot of dealerships this one was definitely the one which made my experience in buying a car special. Kevin was an outstanding sales man who did not try to push me into buying a car that I wouldn't really like and gave his own opinions. He gave me a good deal on my old car and did not even negotiate. When I couldn't make up my mind in buying the car i went home. having been messed about by a main dealership, who advertised cars on their website that had already been sold, It was a pleasure dealing with Kevin. I had mixed experience with this garage.
They got me approved for finance no bother and we agreed a date for me to collect the car which was a Vauxhall Zafira Tourer 2.0 BiTurbo Sri cdti as I was travelling 500 miles for car.
I decided to fly down (never been on plane before this)as they promised me the car was an I quote Immaculate.
Flew down to Manchester then caught train to Leeds.
When arrived at garage car had been valeted as promised an went to take car test drive first thing that flashed up on dash was the car needed serviced an then I noticed car was nearly running on vapour.
Test drive went ok pulled back into garage an then checked car over an this point I noticed alloys we’re damaged an the seat trim was cracked.
Discussed this with salesman about car needing serviced an damage to wheels and seat. An he said he would give me back my holding fee I gave for the car. Which I thought was reasonable as I’m a mechanic to trade an that should at least pay to service the car.
And he kinda had me over a barrel at this point as I was 500 miles from home an no other way of getting home.
I then agreed to purchase the vehicle an signed the paperwork then to be told had to wait for the funds to go into there bank before realising the vehicle even thought I had a 10/12 hours drive ahead of me an this being 15.30 on a Saturday afternoon was told to go get something to eat an come back after an hour.
Came back at 16.30 an to find still no money there bank to then be told that finance company shuts at 17.00. So of course was getting worried I wasn’t going to get home the salesman had to phone 3 times to eventually get money an realise car at 16.55.
On the long drive home was when I discovered the next fault with car which was the battery struggled to start car after just leaving the headlights on for 5 mins without engine running and start/stop was also not working.
It took couple of days to find the next faults with was the attachment for towbar was missing an also the compressor an Tyre sealant if you get punture was missing.
Phoned garage and they did sent me new compressor/Tyre sealant but said nothing could be done about towbar attachment.
The next an biggest fault I next found when was I went to carry out service on the car. As I when I jacked the vehicle up I noticed the vehicles VXR styling pack was damaged both the front splitter was burst an cracked an also the N/S sideskirt had a crack at least 4/5 inches long an the jack point cover was also missing. Granted should of picked these up when viewed car but phoned garage an the agreed to fix vehicle an when did I want to book it in to be fixed which I replied I’m no doing 1000 mile round trip to get want should have been fixed before you sold this vehicle.
So since buying this vehicle I’ve had to service the engine £80, Buy new AGM battery £120, I’ve yet to fix seat trim, find towbar attachment, or fix VXR kit as I’ve priced new kit from Vauxhall which is £1200 unpainted.
So only advice I can give is if you buying car from this garage arrive in plenty of time and give car good looking over. Check service book. But I am still happy with my car just very disappointed with the way they sold it to me.

Visited with family member on limited budget looking for used car. Site is conveniently located on one of main roads out of Leeds (near Kirkstall). Cars tend to be up to about four years old so your budget cannot be too limited. However the same company does have a further site on same road half a mile closer to Leeds where prices start around £4,000.
