I started looking for a replacement car in March after having my trusty Ford Focus was written off by a drunk driver. I took a look round the internet and short listed a few cars, one of which was at Granby Car Sales. I was very impressed with the excellent reviews they had on Autotrader, which it appears are from actual customers that have bought cars from there. I popped in and originally spoke to an older woman who seemed quite irritating and pushy, not very genuine and not really interested in what I wanted, only in what "she" had in stock, and as soon as she saw another customer I was told to feel free to look around and I was dropped like the proverbial hot potato. This may have been because she considered I wouldn't have bought right then. Fair assumption as it turned out. A couple of weeks later I popped back but this time was spoken to by a very knowledgeable and extremely helpful person (David) who was happy spending as much time as I needed answering any questions I had and to find out exactly what I was looking for within my budget with no pressure, in fact it wasn't like buying a car, it was more like chatting with an old friend. David was/is far more professional and patient than any sales person I have ever dealt with ANYWHERE. I am always apprehensive going to buy a new car, I am usually pounced on by a loud, slimy, over friendly and annoying person that has only one objective, which is to get at your wallet. It did take me a while to decide on a car but David kept me informed about cars I had expressed interest in throughout the whole process. I missed out on one I was interested in, I can only assume it's because they sell so many cars so quickly which again I can only assume is because of their excellent reputation and the equally excellent service they provide when selling a car. I felt very confident when I finally bought my car from David and I can honestly say I have no regrets whatsoever. Yes they sell older cars, yes they occasionally have cars there that may have a slightly higher mileage but the checks they do on their cars prior to selling really impressed me. To be fair they had a huge variety of all types of cars, big, small and everything in between. I eventually bought a Nissan Qashqai, my car was serviced, had a new MOT and cleaned again before I went to pick it up. Maybe I paid a few pounds more than some other places I went to for the same type and year of car, but I truly believe you get what you pay for. I have had my car now a good few months now, and I am really enjoying it, it's a car I never really thought about buying, but David's advice and guidance was instrumental, he really knows cars. Whilst at the time I couldn't see how the many features of the car would benefit me but I realise now I should have bought a car like this years ago, but until speaking to David I never knew it. So to close, Granby Car Sales are excellent, 5 stars from me, but I believe a business is only as good as it's staff. So my advice is to ask for David, he's getting on a bit now, but he really knows his stuff and you'll certainly not regret it. I haven't. I didn't just buy a car, I also made a friend and I really hope he's there when I buy my next car.

I have been buying cars from GCS for 14 years now , no they have not always been perfect ,yes I've had a few problems with a couple of cars,but when you buy a used car that's exactly what your getting , any issues I have had with my cars the team at Granby have always sorted it out, they even give you a loan car FREE , no they are not the top of the range cars but they work, they are reliable. The team here are all approachable, friendly ,helpful & supportive when you need them . I would recommend this garage to anybody .

I am writing this review to express my appreciation for the excellent after care I recently received from Granby Cars Sales. I purchased a black BMW 330D in January. At the point of sale, I was encouraged to purchase their additional extended warranty. However, I declined, as I have had BMWs before and found them to be very reliable. In fact I had part-exed a BMW 325ci which I owned for 3 years which never missed a beat in the time I owned it. Then soon after purchase, the unthinkable happened. The car developed problems. It was throwing up all sorts of fault messages on the dash board and on occasion would fail to start. The fault was diagnosed as a faulty ECU. This was around £1000 to put right. Luckily for me, Granby Cars Sales, paid for and fitted the new ECU without any quibble. I was still within the 90 day statutory warranty. Only just….If it had developed the fault a week later, it would have been down to me to put right as I had declined the extended warranty. I would like to say that my car is now running as it should with the new ECU fitted. I would like to praise Granby Car Sales for their integrity and would have no hesitation in recommending them in the future.

Granby Car Sales The 2007 207 1.6hdi 3dr was the first car I've bought from GCS , and a good service. My sales man was David Fern (nice man) I test drove the car and we made a list of the items I thought needed looking at, I didn't get any of the usual dealer rubbish like, that's how it comes or we wont do this or that, they serviced it (oil/filter plus air filter if needed) bled soft brakes-pulled two dents out-changed smearing wipers for new ones. After about a week I booked it into the service department car was smoking like hell on cold start, and got a 2001 ford focus loan car, as I noticed the drivers door locking itself, cold misfiring plus lots of smoke, the passenger door due to fixing had dropped, they ordered a new door lock, the dropped door was corrected, then looking into the cold starting smoke/misfiring they couldn't get the injectors out, so it had the head off 3 new injectors, new cam belt and water pump, and refilled with anti freeze/water, and a new door lock (to stop car locking its self) it took just over a week but I had a loan car. in and out of there serviccentre for three months in total A good service but car never stopped smoking so i traded it in two years later, THREE STARS BECAUSE THEY DONT DO ANYTHING TO A CAR TILL ITS SOLD AND THE ENGINE MISFIRING SMOKING SHOULD HAVE BEEN PICKED UP IN THE PRE DELIVERY INSPECTION, IF BUYING HAVE A GOOD LOOK FOR COLD START SMOKE AND ENGINE NOISES.
