We are pleased to have bought a near new Lexus 250H from Lexus Leicester at the end of November 2021. The car has been a pleasure to drive since and we are so happy we went with Lexus.

I had originally booked my RX450h in for an MOT and a courtesy car.
I was kept in touch with how things were going and needed two new tyres that were ordered for fitting the following day. I was also advised that fuel injectors needed replacing and these were fitted on warranty.
I picked my car up two days later fully cleaned inside and out.
Jonathon was excellent.
I also had a chance to talk with Harry about the possibility of changing our RX for a new car in the future.

I have a service contract with Lexus and on 10Mar my car was serviced at Lexus Leicester. In addition I had front&rear dashcam fitted at a cost of £375.00.
When I got home I found that the dashcam rear footage was missing. I called service and was asked to check few things, still did not work. I then went to Lexus. dashcam maintenance engineer Harry checked out on my iPhone but even he couldn’t find rear footage footage. He said will have to make technician appointment to check connections. I had to wait nearly 2hrs for an appointment. In between I was asked few times if all ok but still had to wait. I would have thought that dashcam would have been thouroughly checked for front and Rear footage working correctly before giving vehicle to customer. After all I paid lot of money for service and dashcam. I have been given an appointment on Tuesday 15th Mar at 10am.
I am disappointed that this should have been resolved on the day instead of giving another appointment . I live some 10 miles away and even no free courtesy car was offered. This has caused me lots inconvenience and mine and Lexus waste of time. Also on 15th I had to take time off for this and hang around for few hours. Did not expect this from a reputable company

Received a telephone call from Harry ( Lexus Leicester) who explained to me that I can get a brand new car with possibly similar monthly payment to what I am already paying. Didn't waste time and booked an appointment with Harry. Harry is very professional, He explained evetyhing in terms that I understood. He is very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, while pootling along merrily away my Lexus decided to stop working with immediate effect in an act of wilful automative disobedience. After a short consultation with the man from the AA it disclosed that the alternator had shorted and killed the battery which was I'll be honest, less-than-ideal. This happened late afternoon/early evening so not much could be done apart from getting home and resolving the issue the following day. I called the dealership and spoke with Jonathan (who was brilliant when I previously took the car in for a TPMS issue last year) which I took as a good sign, explained my situation and what the problem was. Jonathan, cool as a cucumber, tells me to bring it in leave it with the mechanics and they'll sort it out. And that was pretty much exactly what happened. I got a call later that day, informing me what was happening with the car and told to expect a call on Monday when the car's ready to pick up. I got the call Monday lunchtime and Jonathan explained after a health check a couple things that require attention, nothing urgent but will need to be looked at before the next MOT. When I got there, I spoke with another gentleman (American Jonathan) who was just as brilliant. Bumped into British Jonathan in the car park, and he explained my options in more detail, he didn't have to, could have just carried on walking but took the time to answer any questions and allay any concerns I might have had. First. Class. Service. Everyone. The following day I got a follow-up phone call just asking if everything was ok. At all times I've been treated with courtesy and care advised if and/or anything needs to be looked at, rather than be seen as a walking wallet in need of slimming down. Really cannot thank everyone enough for all their help and say how great the customer service is, it's well known to be second-to-none and the reputation is well deserved simple because it's well earned. Brought the car in for service and had opted for Apple Carplay upgrade. This took much longer than expected, requiring a sat nav upgrade (with additional cost!). The download speeds for these seemed painfully slow as it took two days in the end. Lexus were top quality however, they gave me a courtesy car for this period and upgraded the Apple Carplay for free because of the unexpected delay and additional cost of sat nav upgrade. Overall, very happy with service, particularly because the people I dealt with were honest and open.

My car had recently developed a creak which was annoying as it ruined the experience of driving a Lexus. The fault took a while to be rectified, as these things often do, given the complexity of modern cars inc all of the electrics involved. I was however, kept informed of progress by an excellent front facing staff member (Zainab) who was an absolute star. The lengthy diagnosis was outweighed by Zainab's determination and zeal to get this matter sorted come what may! A positive experience.

Leon Kenny - I'd give you 10 stars if I could.
Very helpful, polite, patient & ultimatley helped resolve the issues on the vehicle communicated throughout the entire process even a courtesy phone call within 24 hours post sale. Brilliant salesman without the arrogance.
The reason I am not giving 5 stars is because of my overall exprience, my story below.
After searching for a couple of weeks I found a low mileage vehicle, nice colour combination. Leon sent over a walkaround video of the car. In my opinion the car was priced high considering the age of the vehicle, put an offer in sales manager declined as the vehicle prices are managed by head office on a daily basis, this is subjective as head office will not see the condition of the vehicle, they rely on the sales manager to price according for maximum profit I get it however I chose not to challenge it until I saw the vehicle in person & being a main dealer I wanted to experience it. Travelling from Manchester to Leicester I was asked to leave a large deposit of £500, which is fully refundable as there is alot of interest in the vehicle. Interestingly another Main dealer in Wolverhampton wanted £200 deposit why would it vary? I would suggest only leaving a deposit if your comitted to buying the vehicle otherwise you may face challenges getting that refund. Get it in writing!
Booking via appointment upon arrival the receptionist lady greets me & gives a warm welcome. Very polite, seconds later the later sales manager also said hello.
I get to see the vehicle in person this is not what you expect from a main dealer & a customer should not have to prompt you to get the vehicle ready for sale. The quality control is lacking. I understand it was month end & targets have to be met. The standard line is our vehicles are pitch ready to take away really? I am not convinced!
- Key remote out of the 1/2 is completley dead needs a new battery.
- No service book in the car "All computerised now sir" but where is it the print out as I will need it when I have to sell it
- Passenger side mirror case and LED cracked
- Bodywork the rear quarter has clear plastic protective film trapped dirt looks like a scuff being white paintwork unpresentable.
- Tyre pressure warning light on
- No fuel had to be refuelled for my test drive
- Tyres are legal however tyre shoulders are cracked due to (age)
At this point I am thinking its fair to ask a for a refund on my deposit & walk away what else may be wrong that I dont see. Leon reassures me not to worry all of the above will be corrected before collection in a weeks time. I took his word all was sorted thankfully with the exception of cracked (budget) tyres only noticed this once I got home.
Upon collection a week later:
- Service book stamped but with incorrect mileage.
- Driveaway insurance provided
-Taxed
- Keeper details exchanged
- Made a full payment
*** Leon returns after a long 20 minute wait sorry sir you cant take the car as our payment system is down, at this stage im not walking away without the car! Considering this is my 2nd visit & the inconvenience it would cause. After I said give me my refund and I will leave! The systems all of a sudden come back up and your good to go sir.
As I was a cash buyer I sense it didnt favour the sale as the finance deal is where the profit margins are.
No apology, no gift bag. Worn out Lexus keyring provided. - Thanks for that.
Why did I chose a main dealer over an independent trader? after reading reviews Lexus customer experience is renowned for customer satisfaction, my experience it was no different than an ordinary dealer if anything more stressful.

A warning light lit on my car dashboard. I didn't know what it was for. So I went Lexus. I asked for her. A lady called ZAINAB came to help me. She said the warning light is for tyre pressure. It seems as though Lexus have some thick treacle in their systems, from not having a clear spec provided to various different dates being missed and then still not having payment for our part exchange over a week later its not quite been a premium service. Perhaps due to getting back into the swing of things after covid but it seems to me like a simple review could easily identify plenty of improvements. Provide a clear spec for the car, indicate required information / steps and clearly state (and stick to) when they will be completed and don't almost delay delivery of a vehicle because finance is approved but lexus finance haven't paid the garage (its lexus as far as the customer is concerned) and then not stick to the 2-5days for payment for part exchange vehicle. It seems a bit like double standards and it has been more hassle than it should have been, I have to step away from work numerous times to try and keep things going / get info and that shouldn't really be the case imho.

Went to see a used RX and on arrival delighted it was washed and clean and had already been put in a display area so we could get the best viewing and not stuck in a corner of the car park. Went for a test drive with none of the usual, 'sorry we've got to stop for fuel' nonsense! Sales specialist, Lauren Barber, was most helpful, very knowledgeable, reserved the car and agreed a collection date. When I phoned late next day to say I might prefer another car they had for sale Lauren said no problem, we want you to be happy and it's important you get the right car. Subsequently took delivery and the handover process was very smooth, finance all dealt with very easily assisted by Richard Rains and the sales manager Paul Butt was also most helpful and particularly customer focused.
Overall I was very impressed with Lexus Leicester and their most professional and friendly approach. I would certainly recommend them.

I wanted to purchase a new car and my choice was between a Mercedes and a Lexus. Having owned a Mercedes before I new what they were like and visited Mercedes Peterborough and Mercedes Leicester to see what was available and to be honest was not impressed with the customer service. Peterborough Mercedes never called me back and was in Mercedes Leicester for more than 10 minutes and nobody even had the decency to approach me.
I then went to Lexus Leicester and the difference in customer service was night and day. I was greeted at reception, asked who i would like to speak to and then was shown to a very comfortable chair with coffee and biscuits directly following. After enjoying this my wife and I experienced an excellent test drive and fell in love with the vehicle almost immediately. The exterior finish was absolutely superb and the interior was mind blowing. It is so state of the art and beats Mercedes by a long way as I would have needed to have spent about another £15000 on a Mercedes to obtain the same level quality that was in this car. I am so glad I purchased a new Lexus instead of a Mercedes and would like to thank all who were involved in my purchase but especially the lovely Lauren who was very professional, polite and extremely knowledgeable in the Lexus range and is a huge asset to this company. I recently found that the Lexus Experience at Lexus Leicester, which in my previous dealings with them a number of years ago was superb, has become even better. Harry, who sold me my new car, made my wife and I feel very welcome when we arrived for our test drive. Sales staff were excellent but unfortunately on the day to collect the car the detail as you prefer to call a valet was completely unsatisfactory. There were 2 scratches on the car, one filled in with incorrect paint and the car was not cleaned sufficiently. We found a child's old used lollipop stick in the door, the car was not vacuumed properly. Evidence of this around the seats and foot well mats. Also the steering wheel was grubby and one of the alloy wheels still had a large amount of break dust on it. For such a prestigious car dealership we would have expected the car to be in pristine condition.

March 2019: Final update. Hats off Lexus. I have now experienced the trade mark Lexus customer service and am completely satisfied. The way they dealt with my issue was simply awesome. It is not most of the dealers care much about, I.e existing customers. But Lexus honoured their promise and have demonstrated that the DO care about their customers.

Jan 2019: So its been 3 months since I have had the car. Apparently, it wasn't serviced when I bought it, although I was assured by the salesman that it was going to be serviced prior to hand over. I queried this with Lexus Leicester 4 weeks ago in writing, and am still waiting to hear back. Having only done 3k, it's already due for a service which will cost £650 by my local Lexus dealer. Although I was assured that I wouldn't have to worry about it for at least 10k miles.
Lowering the stars to 3 as quite disappointed about being misled. Really didn't expect this from a Lexus dealership.

I think it's fair to say very few car dealers can match the level of customer service Lexus have to offer. In comparison to the German rivals the difference is night and day! Lexus Leicester is a fine example of what a car dealership should be like. Personalised service. No pushy sales techniques and the little things like having a complementary car whilst yours is in for a service makes all the difference.
With that said no review is complete without some constructive feedback. A selection of pastries in the morning would go a long way. In addition to cleaning that Nespresso machine more often! Minor points indeed!

Everything about Lexus just impresses me. I'm a great believer in the saying "you get what you pay for" and this applies to the Lexus brand. From my initial inquiry, to the vehicle delivery, every step was handled in an extremely professional manner at Lexus Leicester (for which I must thank the staff especially Jeff Canton). I'm delighted with the car (a ct200h). The build quality cannot be faulted and despite the scathing comments from the journalists, the performance is terrific if you forego the usually excellent fuel economy. Driven carefully, I frequently achieve over 67 mpg. But beware, the quest for achieving high mpg can become adictive. As for the fun factor, it can be as entertaining as my previous car, an mx5, well nearly.
