Having read the excellent reviews for Richardsons online, I made contact with Simon after having viewed a car elsewhere at a franchised dealers. The two experiences couldn't have been more different. Simon simply passed they keys over to examine the car at my leisure but was happy to answer any questions. You can test drive the cars alone should you wish. There was absolutely no pressure whatsoever whilst still maintaining the feeling that any assistance was always on hand. The car has been prepared to an excellent standard and all the admin was completed in the office prior to leaving which made it very stress free. I feel very reassured in my purchase and would 100% recommend them. Their warrant also looks excellent.

Having no prior intention of changing my car, my wife and I saw a lovely red coloured Jaguar XE as we drove past Richardsons. Looking around it, Simon approached with the keys and politely asked if he could help us in any way. "No,just looking", so he left us to it. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Honest people who make every effort to provide the best possible service. Recently bought a Jaguar from Simon and there were a few minor issues with the car which he agreed to sort out prior to collection, no questions asked. I then noticed a problem with the car on the second week of ownership. Simon arranged for a colleague to travel to Sheffield to collect it and had the problem fixed at no cost under the three month warranty agreement before returning the car back to me. Cannot fault that level of service and the car now drives perfectly.

We purchased an Audi from Simon at Richardson's and collected the car as we are from Newcastle and wanted to drive the car back. With an hour left on our journey an amber light came on the dash and the car went into limp mode. we managed to get the car home and after googling the light we found out it was the glow plug light. We called Simon who immediately asked us if we knew a local garage in Newcastle where we could take the car to have it fixed. It turns out the local garage however could not determine which part exactly needed fixing as it was a bit of a strange one based on what was happening when driving and the strange noises which were coming from the rear of the car. Simon payed the garage for their efforts however the car needed recovering back to Richardson's. Simon arranged for the car to be recovered and again on further inspection the fault could not be located. Simon then advised that the car needed to go to Audi for them to fix. Within 3/4 days the car was repaired (Fuel Pump Control Module) and then Simon arranged for the car to be delivered back to us in Newcastle. All throughout Simon kept us updated and we really are pleased with how the situation has handled and carried out. A truly first class service and we would not hesitate in going back to Richardson's for another car. Thanks again!

Where does one start from seeing a great CHRYSLER 300C online at RICHARDSONS to ACTUALLY travelling all the way down with my wife from EDINBURGH and ACTUALLY buying the said car - it was a great experience and dealing with SIMON and his team was most pleasurable - this guy is an honourable and genuine guy and nothing was too much bother to him even dropping us off at hotel and collecting us the following morning to collect the car - and definitely a pleasurable experience driving home - I have driven Jaguars for many years but this car is an experience not to be missed, Simon made it possible, organising the new MOT and getting the ROAD TAX,servicing the car, fitting badges onto grille, all I had to do was pay the bill and it was a pleasure to do so - I can HIGHLY recommend SIMON and his TEAM - and I say if you do not make the effort to buy the car you see - someone else certainly will - as Simon is a great guy to deal with. Bought two cars in quick succession from this place. The guys are all welcoming and friendly. Getting a test drive was easy enough, and both cars saw a quick turnaround from deposit to collection. 3 months warranty, full MOT and service. Dropped the first car off for a check up (not owned a petrol in quite a while) and they took a look for me, even with my vague observation of "sounds a bit weird" - reassuringly no issues, so it's just my ears. Hopefully won't need to buy a car in the near future, but I'd be back to these guys if needs be.

Absolutely excellent experience thanks to Simon & Chris. We travelled up from Bournemouth to collect a Nissan Qashqai from Simon and he put the car through the MOT and service at short notice to allow us to drive away in it. On top of this, the advisories thrown up by the MOT were also sorted despite the car passing the MOT, which gave us peace of mind. I got a great feeling from Simon, he was attentive and helpful all through the process. The car was immaculate down to the engine bay and felt like a new car despite being 11 years old. We did have a problem with the wheel balancing on the car due to new tires being very kindly fitted (again, only advisories). As we lived so far away, Simon kindly paid for the wheel balancing to be sorted at our own garage and an offside drop link to be replaced when our garage found a slight problem with it. Based on our experience and the competitively priced cars I really couldn't recommend Richardson's enough and would happily go back there despite the distance as Simon really does seem to be a used car salesman you can trust completely. Very professional service. No hard sell tactics from Chris, just given keys and told to take as long as I needed looking over the car. Returned a few days later to test drive and decided to buy. No paper reciept to prove when the cam belt was last changed, so Simon arranged for the work to be done before collection, plus a new water pump and oil service and mot at their cost. What a gem to find, drove 50miles because of the positive reviews and it was worth it.Simon so helpful not pushy, so friendly and the jaguar xf was serviced and motd before pick up. The guarantee was proper not just bits of the car.The interior touch light kept flickering which is a common fault with the xf when going over bumps.No problem to Simon he ordered and fitted a new unit. So i just went today and brought an audi a3 from simon at richardsons. I found the car on autotrader last weekend and rang monday to put a deposit down! My first thought was second hand car dealer i dont really trust them. But simon and richardsons were amazing! Got there thismorning the car had been freshly valeted for me full mot and full service! I was blown away at the over all look and condition of the car it was unreal!!! I found one minor and i mean minor dent on the car and simon knocked me £50 off! But had also knocked £200 off the asking price when i asked if there was a deal to be done if i paid in cash! Honestly from start to finish the experience was amazing got a 3 month warranty and if i had any problems at all to give them a ring! After care is key but also customer care aswell and simon has both!! So dont hesitate to buy a car from these guys you wont be disappointed! Thanks again simon for everything!

Bought a BMW 316, fair price and fantastic buying experience (my second purchase from Richardsons). Shortly after sale the car had a heating fault that took some diagnosing and and a big job to repair. Used and new cars develop faults so I never judge a dealer on this as mechanical components do fail. Simon and Chris went above and beyond to get the car repaired properly resulting in a fix that any professional would proud of and done to the highest standard (the whole dashboard had to be removed). The Richardsons team stand behind the cars they retail making them a fantastic dealer to buy from and they will certainly be my next port of call for any future cars my family need. EXCELLENT SERVICE- You Read many negatives about second hand car dealers which makes you sceptical about approaching them, is the car going to be okay? Am I going to get ripped off etc. I was recommended to Richardsons’s car sales by family and friends who have all brought from them, so I brought a car (only a run around) which I needed for work. However a week or so later I had a few problems with the car and thought great hear we go it’s going to cost me loads. CAN I JUST SAY HOW AMAZING THEY HANDLED THIS!! I was given plenty of options as to what I wanted to do: Swap to a car around the same price which they didn’t have any in stock although they did try source one for me and I would of definitely taken this option if they did have stock in( I just need a car ASAP and I’m on a budget lol ) Get the car repaired again I would of taken this option if I didn’t need a car ASAP. Full refund which I opted for as I had found a car else where Simon came out chatted about the problem and immediately transferred the money back to me. There customer service skills are absolutely amazing and I would 100% recommend this company and I will be a returning customer in the near future. Thank you

Me and my partner brought a nissan juke from richardsons a few weeks ago after seeing it on passing at the wragby road site. After emails with Simon I went to look at the car there was no pressure was left alone to look, he answered all my questions and issues. It came with full year mot and a service so was happy to purchase. It was ready to be picked up few days later which I think we dealt with Chris on collecting he was very good everything went smoothly. After a day the engine management light came on so phoned up the following day when they opened they told me to go straight in. They did a diagnostic test which found a minor fault which they sorted that day in a matter of hours. Since then we've had no issues with the car runs smoothly nice to drive. I recently bought a car from Richardsons, for my stepson. It was a 52 plate vehicle so I did not expect too much but I was delighted with the vehicle when we collected it. We had not seen the car but Simon Foster, the manager, had described it perfectly over the phone and so we were very satisfied with a) his description and b) the presentation of the car. He had the cambelt changed for us as part of the preparation work, without us asking for that. He told us that they prefer the vehicles to go out properly prepared as if they don't do that, in the long run, it costs them more both financially and in repeat business. After we had had the car for two weeks he followed up with an email asking whether we were satisfied with the car and if we had had any issues. If all motor dealers were like this it would be so much easier to buy cars on trust. Well done Richardsons, and well done Simon. If you value honesty and great customer service do't hesitate to speak to these people.

The car I bought was well priced and exactly as described and the trade in on mine very fair. Was wanting to buy a Nissan Juke for ages. One we saw that was in very good condition was from this garage but coming from Leeds it was a long drive. Simon was very helpful in waiting for us to get there. The car was in immaculate condition and decided to buy it. Friendly and professional sales. There are cheaper cars around in the Lincoln area but based on the quality of the vehicles they re-sell, I do believe that they the best value for money. I feel confident using them and have recently purchased my 3rd car from them. It's only if there is ever a problem with a purchased vehicle that you find out about the professionalism with which a company will support and help you. An electrical issue (notoriously difficult to trace) existed with my Mondeo and although it was simple to resolve the diagnosis was more difficult. No quibble from Richardsons. They took care of it immediately. I would seriously recommend them as an excellent local company.

I agree with the positive comments of others, having received the same deal. However the issue of timing belt change tripped me up to the tune of £600. May I suggest that this item is prioritised in both the buying and selling functions. Full service history on a vehicle should suffice but some cars don't have this. I have bitten the bullet in this case but hope my experience will help others. Yes I would buy from Richardsons again and yes the vehicle I traded in had a recent cam belt change at the appropriate service interval.

Really good buying experience, we looked at a Fiat Panda seen on the internet, Staff were very friendly and gave us the keys so we had a good look over the car, we were left to take our time, started the car, looked under the bonnet etc. There was no rush at all, Simon was very helpful, we took the Panda out for a test drive all went great, we asked about a few things that may need doing and Simon said that they would be done and sure enough he is a man of his word they were all done, there were MOT advisories these also were all done plus more. Recently bought a car from Simon car was beautiful he sent me videos and made sure to point out any chips ect so I was confident in the car after previous bad experience he even put in writing that the deposit would be refunded if the car wasn't as described witch put me at ease anyway got there drove away with the new car the car developed a fault on the way home im 100% sure Simon didn't know the car had anything wrong as they buy them in and sell them on so someone will have traded it in faulty it has full service history and was loverly inside and out he wouldn't have sent it out that way cos it drove perfect on the long test drive anyway he rang me on the night to ask what had happened anyway he give me 3 options first 1 full refund second 1 was book it into a specialist and get faults fixed etc or he come get the car take it away fix it bring it back for me anyway I lost heart after that and asked for a refund he sorted it all out for me come the 2 and a half hours to come collect the car Simon was very professional and would highly recommend no pressure and happy to help would definitely buy from him again so lucky it wasnt a dodgy garage witch alot of them are or they could have just ignored the phone etc but he didn't and got everything Sorted for me thanks again Simon
