B. O.We engaged Ferry Marine to re-power our RIB. We were currently running a pair of old 60hp Mercurys - but wanted a set up that would enable longer and reliable journeys offshore. After some consultation, we eventually decided on a pair of Suzuki 100hps. Paul informed us of the lead time for the engines from Japan, and didn’t want any payment up front. We were happily surprised when they arrived 3 months earlier than quoted and went straight in for the installation. During the installation we had numerous changes made to the setup, including upgrading electronics, SMG4 gauges and changes to the fuel tank pick ups - all of which Paul kept us in the loop via email updates. When we collected the RIB, we then embarked on various test sessions to determine the optimal propellor sizes needed – and fed the information back to Ferry Marine who suggested trying another size propellor and had them sent next day delivery for us. If you are serious about your boat, want a professional installation and after service then give them a shout.
A. T.Ordered a new Suzuki 200hp 4-stroke from Ferry Marine. Best price I could get! Good service getting it set up on my boat, which I'm now thoroughly enjoying. A 200hp 4-stroke is a lot quieter than a 200hp 2-stroke! Paul also gave me great service by packing the old engine in a crate with all the accompanying rigging ready for uplift by the carrier for transport to the purchaser. It made the changeover very easy.
S. H.I contacted Ferry Marine for advice on a new outboard engine for my CJR Dory. I was making the change from an old 2 stroke to a new 4 stroke and didn't want to make a mistake in choosing an inappropriate engine. Paul spent plenty of time with me discussing the options, and most importantly understanding what i wanted to achieve in performance from my boat.
I then ordered the Suzuki DF40 long shaft, Ferry Marine installed for me as well, installation was first class, i trialed the new engine last week, and the engine perform beyond my expectations!
I can't thank Paul and his team enough for the support, advice and service they have provided.

P. M.I burst a tube on my Rib while on holiday up the West Coast of Scotland. Ferry marine were well recommended by a professional in the Rib industry. I gave them a call and Paul took my details. They are really busy which is always a good sign and got back to me after a couple of weeks to arrange the repair. The time and cost was exactly as Paul had said it would be but the job was outstanding.

J. F.I have an ancient ( like myself ) Evinrude outboard motor which has not been used for many years. Evinrude no longer exists, parts are hard to find, if not impossible. I phoned Ferry Marine to see if they could help, and spoke to Paul. Hallelujah ! here was a man who knew he engine well, and explained the difficulties of finding any one who could work on them or source parts. He said he would have a look at it, but could not guarantee that it would be successful, but would be a useful exercise in training his apprentices how these engines used to work. This would also keep the cost down. Sure enough ,they got it running again after quite a bit of work, and showed me how to operate it again. I feel they really went out of their way and I cannot thank them enough.

S.This is a son and father operation, have used them for the last 8 years for servicing/minor repairs on my Humber rib, nothing in this field is ever "cheap" but when you are off the west coast of Skye I need to know things have been correctly done, from out board servicing, VHF electrics, wiring,tube repairs etc.They are willing to go the extra mile to turn things around in a few hours or days, compared to other operators in central Scotland these guys "do what it says on the tin ", many thanks jamie stevenson, 6m humber rib owner
