When dealing with Paul, I found his communication excellent, he made sure I knew exactly what was happening every step of the way and his knowledge with dealing with the transfer of a private plate with a SORN vehicle and his willingness to help was fantastic. Buying a car at the moment can feel pretty nerve racking. I made a decision to buy a car solely online to avoid visiting lots of showrooms and to be honest i was nervous. Ive not exactly had a great experience buying cars in the past full stop so you can imagine how worried I was! That being said from the moment i enquired about this car and spoke with Lloyd i knew i was in the right place. He was warm and instantly put me at ease and to be honest i just knew i could trust what he was telling me. By the end of that day i knew i wanted the car and Lloyd got things in motion. I was working with an outside Finance company who if im honest were a pain in the backside and dragged their heels on getting things done but again Lloyd & Paul were exceptionally undertsanding and stuck with me through the process. Today i picked up my new car and its everything i expected and more. It was beautifully valeted, all the paperwork was on point and ready and the car is fantatstic. Unfortunately i didnt get to meet Lloyd but Paul was again very helpful and the process was quick and easy. All I can say is if your looking for a car, even if your a fair way away from these guys I can whole heartedly recommend them and you can trust them. Never had an easier car buying process. It's easy to feel like you have to go main dealer when buying used, but I really couldn't see a reason not to buy from Paul at Holwood Cars. I used the car auction site motorway.co.uk to sell my car. Paul from Holwood "won" the auction and bought my car from me. The whole experience from start to finish was great. I got a good price for my car (better than we buy any car and the part - ex valuation from BMW) and the process from Holwood Cars winning the auction to picking it up from my house went very smoothly. Holwood sent a driver out to look over the car and once he was happy the money was transferred in to my account within seconds. I can highly recommend Paul and the team at Holwood, certainly from the perspective of buying my car from me.

Just bought this month a very high end low mileage 3 year old Range Rover from Paul @ Holwood Cars in Bromley (part exchanging my Mercedes 350 AMG Cab) Picked up the car which was immaculate and drove home to Somerset with a big smile on my face.......that’s when the true value of after sales and customer service kicked in!! Through no fault of anyone the cars engine management light highlighted a problem and on speaking with Paul he took control of the problems and the required work that was needed and settled my local Range Rovers invoice without hesitation. Unusually I wasn’t buying a car from Holwood Cars I was selling one to them! I phoned up and spoke to Paul on the off chance that they might be interested in buying my car. I gave him the details and he said he would be happy to take a look at it. Popped to the showroom the following day Paul looked over the Car and offered me a very fair price – but the best bit was the way he operates; relaxed, no pressure, honest and straight forward. Agreed the price and the paperwork and payment was done in 10 mins. Definitely the type of person I like to deal with! Been buying cars from Holwood cars for close to ten years. I have purchased five cars from them due the consultative and honest approach I always receive from Paul and Lloyd. Feel free to buy a car from Cargiant or one of the other large dealers! Good luck trying to get help if you have a problem!! I know that should I have an issue they care for their customer base and they would do whatever they can to rectify the problem and that's what counts. Five stars all day long.

I’m not normally one to write reviews but in this instance I feel I have too. Having previously bought a car that was an absolute death trap I had little faith in cars or car dealers. I had a fear of things going wrong and loosing money again. I’m came across a car on Holwood cars and read some reviews online and thought it seems to be good I will go and have a look. Straight away I can say Paul is NOT pushy or looking for a quick sale. He was happy to answer all my questions and spend time restoring my trust in car sales. He allowed myself and my family to test drive the car without issue. The buying process was made simple and easy. Paul also got us a good price for a part x. Purchased an immaculate Jaguar XKR from Holwood Cars a little over a year ago and it has been great. I sent it to a main dealer for a routine service this year and asked them to investigate a minor sounding rattle. I was presented with a 5k fix for a faulty supercharger and advised not to drive the car. I had a third party warranty in place but the garage was not keen on doing the job through their process. Unsure of how to proceed I reached out to Paul at Holwoods just to see if he had any ideas and he was extremely helpful. He spoke to his local main dealer and they agreed that they would take and inspect the car; and fix as necessary. The new dealer identified the issue (only a water pump and not a 5k fix, phew!) and Paul very kindly arranged directly with the warranty company for the problem to be covered. I paid the garage bill and less than a week later I received the money from the warranty company. Very thankful for this as I’m not sure the warranty company would have been so keen to pay out if they had been dealing with me directly. Truly a masterclass in assisting beyond the call of duty. I can not recommend or thank Paul and Holwoods enough for their help; what could of been a painful situation actually ended very nicely. Thus far I have purchased a Mercedes CLK and a Volvo XC60 from Paul at Holwood and part exchanged two vehicles in the process. I can honestly say they are setting new standards within the dealership sector. The whole process from start to finish was relaxed without any hard selling from Paul. In my case the cars sold themselves. Once we had agreed on the sale Paul arranged new MOTs and any minor niggles I had were looked at and fixed. The after care is pretty good too. I had an issue with the Merc which was still under RAC warranty. I contacted Paul and he arranged everything including a courtesy car.

Utterly superb! Like some and unlike others I knew specifically what car I was after – a MB CLS63. I knew what a good used one looked like – age, spec, cost, mileage, warranty etc. I did my research and I was prepared to travel (I live in York). Three cars made it into my final list and I approached each dealer with an initial enquiry regarding their vehicles and px on my CLS 350. This was the point at which Paul and Holwood first distinguished themselves above any other dealer I’ve ever dealt with. The other two dealers were MB dealers and one might like to think this would lead to a beneficial px price but no – they offered a loooooong way short and couldn’t phone me enough times to stress how sought after their vehicle was. Paul came back with a good px price (via email) straight away without qualification or pressure. Over the course of the next few days the Benz dealers were able to get to the same price but it left a bad taste! As far away as I live from Holwood (about 200 miles) it already looked and felt (by far) the preferable deal and dealer so I arranged to visit. I did so the next week and was delighted with everything I found at Holwood. This is a lovely dealership and the range of cars was fascinating – you could buy a couple, they cover such a range! Prestige and executive sports cars, saloons, convertibles and SUVs certainly but with more modest and conventional vehicles also. Even the circuit for the test drive is a really good one, allowing you to circle the dealership on a variety of roads and conditions. I was there a while talking with Paul and I saw other potential customers come in - Paul was courteous, provided info when asked and left them “unschmoozed” to look over the cars they were interested in. I really enjoyed my time talking with Paul while we conducted the exchange – enthusiastic, principled and intent on quality in all aspects of service - such a change from the authorised dealers with their endless supplies of scalding hot (dreadful!) coffee and endless introductions to Sales Managers! I drove that car away (with an extra quarter tank of fuel in as a courtesy!) and it has been spectacular every day since – if only I could drive it more! Despite the 200 miles I travelled I would actively seek to conduct business with Paul and Holwood again. A genuine, genuine pleasure.
