Easy, personable and transparent. Throughout the entire process I had what I felt was a dedicated contact for any questions. The valuation of the vehicle was better than others and due to how the vehicle sale is handled, I actually ended up with more than the original estimate. The process was easy and secure and if you’re honest about the condition of the car, you won’t have any issues. The personal touch made the process feel safer than when trying to deal with likewise companies and on collection day there were no underhanded techniques or haggling. Fantastic process and service.

Having had low offers for trade in of my car against new from a dealer I was reluctant to go down the private sale path. Looked at a number of online car sale sites before settling in Motorway. From start to finish the process was efficient and professional. I spoke to 3 different call centre staff all of whom were able to guide me clearly and fill me with confidence. It took around an hour to get the photos completed and to specification but then no problem in putting the car on sale. Photos completed Friday, car on auction Saturday 10am, best offer emailed for acceptance at 3pm. Offer was £1200 above my reserve. Once accepted the dealer rang me within an hour to arrange pick up to suit me 4 days later. Dealer did not haggle or look for excuses to reduce offer. Obviously I had been completely clear about the condition of my car, a 2013 Vauxhall Astra. The dealer did say that some sellers are not honest and then unhappy when the offer is reduced. Best not to waste your time or theirs. All in all a very easy way to sell my car with no stress. I would absolutely recommend and use them again if necessary. My first dealing with Motorway and have been delighted by the way they have dealt with the sale of my late Mums car. The process was great and we got more than expected for her car. It was in perfect condition and we got £2,500 more than the Kia dealer was offering. The process was explained well and although had to take quite a few photos from different angles this enabled the buyer to assess the car and thus offer more than the estimate. When the car was collected there was no haggling and the funds were in my account within 10 minutes. Would highly recommend

Very easy and straight-forward. Got a really good price for my car. Much better than the trade-in offered by Tesla! This site allows the seller (me) to post information and photos which might affect the value of the car. Consequently, there was no awkward haggling at the point of exchange. I was given a very good offer and was paid exactly that amount straight away on exchange. Highly recommended.

I recently sold a car though Motorway, dealings were professional and quick, I had some minor issues with one or two of the photo's but these were resolved quickly and they were clear on what they want. Mush better than We buy and car, offered more off the bat and the target selling proces was quickly met. Dealer contact was also good as was the collection with no quibbling on price (I was open and honest about damage which I am sure helped) and payment was promt when collected by a professional agency. I would thoroughy recommend this and will use it in future when selling a car.

I got a great price quoted online and this was honored as the reserve when putting my car to sale. Using the website made taking the required photos easy and once the car sold, the garage who purchased it were promptly in touch. Great service and highly recommended. We checked out the usual options for selling the vehicle in a 'hassle free' way, as opposed to private sale (which we were also considering). Motorway's initial estimate valuation as to what we could expect for our car was higher than other sites, and more in line with what would be acceptable if not selling privately. The app is quite easy to use. Could do with a few tweaks, but it's certainly not hard work. Bit glitchy and you have to take all of the photos from your mobile phone via the app - you can't upload photos you've already taken. Anyway, whatever, after uploading photos of the cars exterior, interior, and history, Motorway were quickly in touch to discuss an agree reserve price and listing date. In the afternoon of that date, we got our best offer sent to us, which was comfortably above both the initial estimated sale price and our reserve, We accepted and then heard from the dealership very shortly thereafter. It was collected within 2 days of the offer being accepted for free, we received the full amount agreed on the spot, and traded all the documents. We were organised and this definitely helps, but honestly it was the least stressful sale I've ever made. You'll always get the most money if you are willing to sell privately, but you also have to be geared up for the stress and the risks involved; if you are great - if you aren't, use Motorway!

This is the first time I have ever sold a car online and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Motorway and their staff made the experience simple and easy to follow. Having been offered an acceptable price and submitted a series of photographs of the car, Motorway then offer the car auction style to the Dealers on their list. In my case an acceptable offer was made that day. At this point Motorway step aside and the business of the sale is conducted between the dealer as the buyer and yourself as seller. Again, this was very simple and professionally done. The car was collected from my home and the agreed monies were in my bank that afternoon. Simple!

This was the first time I've ever used Motorway. Initial I tried out We Buy any car and got a quote which I thought wasn't too bad and then I saw their charges which people aren't always aware of. As buying another car from a dealership I asked for a part exchange which they quoted me which was lower than We buy. I had seen Motorway on TV so I thought I'd give it ago. Everything was easy and straight forward even creating my car profile. I recieved an expectation price I could expect and it was almost £2000 above quotes already recieved. Car was advertised for £300 less than expected due to alloy wheel rim damage which I accepted, sold same day for £1000 over quotes I'd already recieved. Really happy with the price. Have to say though had 2 anomalies, first recieved info from Motorway of what to do with the V5 (log book) as car bought by a credit company on behalf of a car dealership after I had sold the car and no longer possessed V5. This info needs to be sent ASAP once car sold. The next problem was whilst car handover to buyers representative ( driver whom I picked up from railway station) went well with test drive and checks. We then waited over 2hrs for funds to transfer. Problems occurred here due credit company's own bank carrying out security checks on every fiftieth transfer/ cheque held to verify whatever. Driver stated this was a first for him and had never come across before? I should have phoned Motorway in this instance so may have been sorted quicker or Motorway may have reassured me to state they had dealt with buyer / retailer before and was genuine. Have spoken to Motorway explaining after the event but I will definitely be using Motorway again and have already started to spread the word P.S Motorway is free of charges, but you most definitely need a phone with your banking access ( confirm transfer)

Sold my vw polo through Motorway and must say they were very good. Could not have expected bette r price through a private sale. Very picky about the photos but picked up the car promptly and did not quibble over the price. Recommended.

I was persuaded to start the sale process with Motorway by the valuation which was a couple of thousand pounds more than Webuyanycar or Cazoo. I hadn't done too much research into the procedure so was surprised to learn that the next step was that my car was would be entered into an auction with the bidders being 'trusted motor dealers'. Unsurprisingly the car didn't make what I was informed was 'my' valuation (implying that 'I' had unrealistic expectations?) and the recommendation was to sell as a second auction rarely exceeds the first. I decided that I would proceed through Motorway as it would save the 80 mile each way trip to Webuyanycar, Motorway collect. So all in all I felt as though I had been lured into the transaction by the high initial valuation and was left a little disappointed. I probably wouldn't use Motorway again because I feel I've been played, I would have preferred a realistic expectation at the outset and I'd be surprised if this business model survives when compared to market competitors offerings.

Really pleased that I managed to get a good price for my car, the process was easy once all photos were uploaded and no dealer coming to knock me down on price. The fact that they collected also made life easier. My only criticism is that they are a little pedantic with the pictures and the staff in the call centre are like talking to robots so don't call them if you're in a hurry to do anything quickly.

We haven't sold a car privately for many years. Was dreading it! This is such a painless way to do it......simple photos, short phone call, auction concludes in a single day, dealer in touch almost immediately to arrange free pick up from our house! We sold our car above the reserve price agreed. My only small gripe was getting through to speak to someone in order to complete the details already uploaded online took some time, as the phone lines are very (probably too) busy. Other than that super efficient. Would definitely use this service again!!

Decided to sell my car as we were a 2 car household and now both work from home. Looked at different options and thought Motorway looked best based on reviews. It did not let us down. Two phone calls with them after I had completed the profile of the car to be sold as there were a couple of scratches on the car that I only noticed after the first valuation. When the car went on sale I got more than the amended valuation, but not quite as much as the original valuation where the scratches were not noted. The company who won the bidding contacted me after I accepted the sale sum online and the only delay was in getting the car collected. Money was in my account within seconds before the guy had finished loading the car on his carrier. So easy and everyone I spoke to was really friendly and helpful.

From start to finish everything was explained by Doug and after 24 hours my car was sold. An absolutely brilliant service that I can't recommend enough. I received a great offer for my car after uploading the details and photos and achieved exactly the price I wanted that was also reflective of the strong second hand market. The deal was agreed on the Thursday and the car collected and the full monies in my account by Saturday afternoon, perfect. With no fees, no commissions, just a straight talking car deal with no hassle and a much better price than WBAC and without the notorious knocking down on price and the other charges they're known for. Overall a good experience. The only minor issues I had were their poorly designed web app that I couldn't get to work, however they have a process of which you can speak to a representative and send the images and details via their WhatsApp. There was always a very long waiting time on the phone (40+ minutes) so I always opted to communicate through WhattsApp which worked well. They had stated an auction estimated price of £23,700 (which of course is a estimate and not a fixed figure). I had received an offer of £23,020 which was lower than their estimate but was also £1,000+ more than anyone else had offered me for my car. They came to view/collect the car and payed the agreed amount quickly. Overall a pretty good way to sell your car.

The listing process was more manual than expected with multiple additional photos requested and this not showing in the profile rather needing to be emailed. However, the auction process worked ok and price achieved was fair. After sales was a bit light and could be better managed they just hand you over to the dealer. Overall it's a good service as there is no fee for the seller and it does offer fair auction sale process, could just be a lot slicker with interface and communication.

I can genuinely give this 5 stars. The process began with giving details of the car and submitting pictures (app guides you through). Once reserve price is agreed, car goes to accredited dealer only auction. My car achieved well in excess of the reserve. The auction completed at 3 pm on Saturday when I got email notification of purchase price. Dealer came and collected car on the Monday afternoon. There and then my finance was paid off and the balance in my bank account all before they left with the car. Seamless process from start to finish.
