Found their car scrapping service excellent. They quoted me the best price online. They were responsive to emails and confirmed a date for collection, which was within a week. The driver phoned on the day to confirm he was collecting in about 10 mins, was very friendly and collected the vehicle without any issues. The money was in my bank account next evening as promised. The COD (certificate of destruction) I requested came promptly via email. I had seen some negative reviews from others and was a little hesitant, but I had no problems at all and would highly recommend them. 10/10

Completed a quote online, and was called promptly regarding recovery and payment. Booked a time and date with the representative, who followed up with a clear confirmation email and was subsequently called on the day to confirm pickup. I was also called by the recover driver upon his departure and informed me of his ETA. The chap turned up on time and was a delight to speak to. Although my car was being sold as scrap, the chap took time to carefully lift the car onto the low loader, strapped her down well and even took the time to help with paperwork and help me find the VIN on the vehicle just in case. Really good service in terms of entering my car reg online, getting a good price and having it collected ASAP. Just a shame they have such terrible people answering their phones. In a rush to get you out of the way essentially, and their tone seems extremely moody and dismissive over the phone, I only had a small minor query as well, sympathise for anyone that calls up about anything serious and has to speak to someone like that. Overall a good experience, a shame I had to call and take on someone's negativity at the end for mere clarification over something minor.

I found it easy to arrange collection of vehicle to be scrapped using the online service, got a call to arrange the collection the next morning. They offered a reasonable price for the vehicle, almost twice what I was offered as a part exchange value. Was given an a.m. collection time slot, got a call at 12:45pm to say they'd be with me within the hour. So not 100% service, but acceptable. Collection was easy, paperwork all completed in 5 minutes. Payment was in my account the next afternoon, so about 28 hours later. Overall very happy.

Let down by some of the office staff I had spoken to a few different people at this business and two of them were fine and very informative. However on the day of my booking I called in to ask if there was an estimate on the time that the driver would be here as I'm allways out after 2.30 and wasn't given a time frame. The lady on the phone was very rude, had a terrible attitude basically told me I was lieing and that the time frame is given to every customer as its the same every day. (I wasn't given a time frame at all I was only on the phone for a few minutes when I booked and was told all the information would be in an email, (which had no time frame in it either.) she said they don't contact their drivers during the day and if I am not in then that is my issue not theirs and the driver will just move on... I questioned this and she basically told me that there is no way at all for them to contact their drivers at all for any situation during the entire day and that they have no access to the list of jobs each diver has and if they had a cancellation they wouldn't contact the driver either.. So they just allow the driver to possibly miss jobs and waste his time and petrol (company resources) because they can't be bothered to contact him. she said "we aren't going to call the driver.. we aren't going to do that". It doesn't take much to look at the system and see how far down the line my address is...anything could have helped me have an idea... In my opinion this lady just couldn't be bothered to do anything and didn't have to be so rude in the way she spoke to me I was ready to cancel there and then. UPDATE.. I have changed this from a 1 to a 3. The reason being because the driver arived, and I told him I was worried I was going to miss him as I was going out and he actually said "did they not call you" as apparently I'm supposed to get updated on where he is! ... i told him what happened and he looked shocked/confused and apologised and told me that the lady on the phone was fibbing/wrong and that they do have access to his jobs and can call him aswell. He also answered all my questions and was polite. I don't think it is fair to give such a bad rating just because of one employees attitude. I will give another update once I see how the payment works

I don't often rate 5 stars but in that instance I feel I have to. I needed to get rid of a car still in working order but with lots of small repairs, in view to the M.O.T. I was suggested to try with a car scrap dealer. Of the 3 quotes I got online, Redbourn had the best offer by far. I accepted the deal and got a phone call the same day. I was confirmed the quote and offered a date to have the car picked up. They didn't mind that I had lost the key and it didn't impact the price. A driver came to get the car a few days later. He was helpful and friendly and told me that the funds would be in my account within 48 hours. 12 hours later it was done. Full stop! Everything went smooth, from the website experience, the telephone conversation, the guy who picked the car up and finally the transaction. I already have recommended them and will continue suggesting to try them.

First one was WeBuyAnyCar who offered £250 for the car but reading the small print wanted to charge me £60 "Registration Fee" & wanted me to drop the car off at a designated place. I was helping find an ATF to scrap my mother in law's car and through car take back came along Redcorn. I was initially sceptical after seeing some reviews and when I understood the payment for the car will only be made after it is taken away. This was something my mother in law was uncomfortable about. However, understanding the regulations and reading reviews and that the fact it is an authorised facility, I took the punt and booked them in. We had to reschedule the collection at the last minute which they were very accomodating of and when rescheduled they came as promised , with a call when 30 mins away. They did the paperwork straight away. They promise a turn around of the certificate of destruction plus the payment for the scrap within 24-48 hours, but in our case both were issued within 3-4 hours!! we were quite impressed by this and I thought a good service deserves a review and this is it!

So the thing is.. i had read most of the bad reviews regarding the customer service and collection of the cars and all i can say is that most of the bad reviews are only generated by the hate in people or from rival companies!! I asked for quotes from almost 15 websites and received less money then redcorn offered me and most of them wanted the car for resale, Regarding that their website was for car scrap!! So what i can say is than REDCORN offered me a top price, after i accepted the offer i was called in like 1 hour to arrange the collection, i was given a day(it was not 24h it was 48h) but we have to understand that is a big company who buys a lot of cars daily and because the traffic in london is awfull they can't collect 20-30 cars per day.. so it can't be 24h collectiong everytime!! I was given a time interval of 7-12am for collection. On the day of collection i was called at 7:03am telling me that the driver will come between 7:30-8:00 to collect the car and the driver arrived at 7:48 loaded the car in 10-15mins, signed the logbook in the company name and away he went! So from my opinion they where really honest, did what they said, paid the money in the account in a few hours and received the certificate of destruction by email in 3-4 hours after the collection! Highly recommend them !

There are so many bad reviews and I was weary, but I have to say that all went smoothly with my experience, I called to make the first booking and called a second time to change the date and I had no problem getting through to them. They came to collect the car on Friday, gave me a cheque and I received today (Monday) the certificate of destruction. They do tend to have a majority of the parts you require at reasonable prices, but getting through to them over the phone is terribly difficult and almost impossible, and the staff can come across quite rude over the phone and in person. Parking isn't the best either, but no one can help that!

Such an awful experience 😣 I called and inquired about Prius 2009 Shocks Absorbers and they asked me to come and quoted £ 100 for both front Shocks. Went to picked up and paid the amount and made sured that it's an 2009 plate Prius. When I handed the Shocks to my mechanic he shocked me and told me that it's new shaped Prius 2010 and onward Shocks. It's really depressed me. I called them and they said u can get credit note instead of cash. I just through them in my back garden and bought brand new. They only want to sell things without checking. 😏
