Reviews of Tower Hamlets Re-use & Recycling Centre
I was greeted by a lovely and very helpful staff member. It was my first visit and I had lots of questions. He was very patient and able to answer all of them. Thank you, it makes such a difference!
Regular visitor to the recycling centre to dispose of old clothes, toys, books, batteries etc. Recently cleared out the shed so had lots of old tins of paint, roller blinds & tiles. Both staff on duty were super helpful & friendly, have never had any problems over the years. Site is tidy - they claim to recycle 73% of rubbish left there which is better than it going to landfill or left in public spaces. If you can drive there it's much cheaper than paying the council to collect items.
Just remember to use a car and not a van. A van will be seen as a commercial enterprise and you'll have to use the weighbridge if you can't prove you're a resident. And be polite to the guys there, just incase.
I love this place, why should the borough have any household rubbish with such an amazing facility provided by the council.
Well done to the recycling team.
The guy was very friendly and helpful. The whole place was very neat and tidy.
After reading some of the bad reviews on here I was concerned, but needn't have been.
Able to get rid of almost all of our household waste, don't usually have to wait to get in either.
I dont know why Max popioleck was complaining, he doesnt live in lbth and not entitled to use this facility. Its for tower hamlets residents only.
Great place lovely staff.
It would be good if they sold on usable good stuff.
Great place for recycling things. Helpful staff and good Covid-19 distancing and controls
Great place, allowing local people to de-clutter..!!
Glad to have this service, I dropped few items it was a fairly easy process.
Lovely and helpful staff! NB: they don't recycle food waste, only garden waste.
Excellent and well organised and helpful staff members.
East European guy rude at center not great i live in tower hamlets staff should know how to respond to customers and be helpful.
You can recycle so many things: books, used engine oil, used cooking oil, clothes, shoes, batteries you name it
clean place and covid 19 protocol is being followed.
Very helpful and friendly staff, made the process very easy. Thank you.
Staff lovely and very helpful
Very helpful, nice clean site too.
A great place with knowledgeable staff
Recycling ONLY for residents of Tower Hamlets, good friendly, and open on weekends too!
Well organised with very helpful staff.

Organised and helpful staff on site
Super helpful and friendly staff
Very helpful staff.
Well organised and friendly staff who helped me unload my car. I took dismantled IKEA furniture, a metal headboard, a TV and some old electrical cables. The staff showed me where the various bins were for each category. I went on a Friday morning and didn’t have to queue, I anticipate it would get busy if you went at the weekend though.
Dropped off an old sofa, some cabinets and paint after redecorating our flat. The two people here were so helpful and were happy to show us where to put the items and just genuinely friendly.
They also had good COVID measures in place
Easy to use tip, no faff or fuss, friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend :)
Have been twice, once in a van (need to use weighbridge) and another in a car. Staff are super helpful, knowledge, friendly and efficient. Make sure what you want to dump is allowed before going.
Really happy to have this place in the Isle .Great place for recycling anything, really friendly staff and it was a quick service. Thank you!
An odd one to review, but we used these to get free compost and wormery bins, I assume they got delivered from here, great idea and they always seem helpful when ordering them.
If you are from the area, I'd recommend signing up and see how much food waste you can recycle into compost or worm food!
Had some butane gas bottles that I needed to get rid of. The guy just asked for a proof of address that I live in E1, E2, E3 or E14, I showed him a digital bank statement and that was it. Nothing to complain about!
