Their hands off approach is quite refreshing compared to main manufacture dealerships who have a habit of pressuring you into deals for the sake of their own quotas. The staff at FOW Manchester were incredibly helpful when approached, giving recommendations where to find makes and models that I was looking for, being open and honest with 'value for money' between different cars which is insight you're not always let into at other dealers. Again, this information is usually withheld to ensure the sale goes through at other main dealers. Buying the car I wanted was so effortless, settling my previous finance was virtually painless and the turn around was inside a week. Sarah Kirkham took me through each stage of the process, keeping me updated with progress where necessary which could be some of the best genuine customer service I've received in a long time. Sarah quashed a lot of the worries I had regarding switching across to a new finance while also in the process of settling my previous one. Finally, the final handover of deposits, part ex payments and any other monies was incredibly simple, the atmosphere in the office is quite relaxing compared to the formality that I've found in mainstream dealers which are usually tense. Within the hour I had handed over my previous vehicle, received the payment for it and taxed my new vehicle ready to drive away. With a final tour around the new car, explaining some of the newer features, setup items (SD cards and all) and personalisation, I drove away after only being there for a little over an hour, 4 days after reserving the car, making this the quickest and easiest car buying experience I've had to date. Unless you're looking for a brand new showroom car, I'd highly recommend FOW for it's simplicity, customer service and extensive range of cars.

For anyone who’s bought second hand cars before, the approach that FOW take is refreshing. Wind the clock back to Nov 21 whilst still in Covid restrictions. We bought a car from FOW TP in Nov because of 3 main reasons. 1: The staff at the time were as helpful as they possibly could be through challenging times. You were able to take the keys for as many cars as you liked to look around without any pressure at all from a salesperson looking over your shoulder & pressuring you. My wife & I were lucky enough to get a lady called Hannah Conway, who, in our opinion was very pleasant,helpful, knowledgable and a real pleasure to do business with. 2: FOW let you buy the car & have it for 14 days trial(500 mile limit), with a no quibble return & full refund if not happy with the purchase due to not being able to test drive any cars-let alone the one you purchased. Very reassuring indeed!! (NB: this is no longer the case as of Mar 22 as test drives are back) 3: The car we chose had a few scratches & the wheels were in need of a refurb. It was very refreshing indeed that we didn’t have to quibble one bit to get the work on the car done, it was sorted before collecting the car. The next day, we experienced a problem with two tyres on the car which were going down. After calling Hannah, FOW agreed to pay all costs of the repair and we were sent to a local tyre centre who fitted two new tyre pressure monitors. Overall, we were so impressed with FOW, we are now looking to purchase our next car from them.

Drove over 3 hours to buy with a part exchange, both parties having not viewed car. Car I bought was well presented and I was pleasantly surprised when I was offered an increased amount for my part exchange after it had been viewed by their team. Our poor car died after a garage messed it up so we were in need of a new car. We checked out a few used car dealerships but they didn't come close to being as good as here. Fords of Winsford we helpful, not pushy and fairly priced. They happily reserved cars we had favourited for test drives and once we decided on the car we wanted they made sure it was thoroughly checked over before we drove it away and cleaned. We couldn't drive away that day because of this but that was fine with us. They thought they had found an issue when checking it so booked in and paid for it to be checked at the hyundai dealership (we'd bought a Hyundai). Thankfully no issues but they went above and beyond. Would definitely buy from here again!

Another wasted Sunday. Over 30% of cars do not have a price displayed in their screens, not even an indicative price. Is it a ploy to get prospective buyers to make conversation to sales? Prices please. Went back home and saved my money for elsewhere. Contacted by FOW who were very apologetic, so I will give them another star and try once more to find a suitable vehicle.

Service is good, staff are polite etc. They push the usual gap insurance that costs 3x online prices, RAC warranty which has more get out clauses than a Tory election promise and diamond protection a 60quid product applied for nearly 300. They give 14 days warranty which compared to others like Pendragon is pretty poor. Car came with a fresh MOT and oil service. The car was cleaned and marks removed from the headliner but seats still had some dirty patches, sun roof was still filthy ... So you're probably best just thing what you get and paying to have the car valeted by a third party. No haggling, which is apparently a good thing; the reality is the cars are priced just above 2/3rds of the maximum of the dealer range you'll see if you punch the reg into purchasing valuation on autotrader. Considering car supermarkets work on volume that's pretty much what you'd expect. They don't seem to do test drives here, the Cheshire branch did. I assume because the locations a busy highway. Overall they're fine, it's our second car from FOW and you generally get what you paid for. Skip the extras if you want them you can buy them online. Don't expect much from the clean or the warranty.

Bought a nearly new (58 days from first registered) Qashqai from them. They won't negotiate on the price, but on the other hand they don't do a hard sell either. They needed reminding to send me a video (it was torrential rain when I viewed it) but it was all good when I picked it up a week later. I don't think they let you drive away the same day and, at least during COVID, wouldn't allow a test drive. It was interesting to see on the car SAT-NAV that they'd driven to a takeaway in it.

Couldn’t recommend more and couldn’t be happier with the service we got last week. I dreaded going to buy a car after multiple disappointing experiences with a different company where we had been almost pushed into making a purchase we weren’t 100% with. However, FOW couldn’t have made the experience easier for me. We were left to browse the vehicles and weren’t collared as soon as we walked in which I was happy with it. As soon as we had found a couple of vehicles we were interested in we were given the keys to look at them, again completely in our time. When we wanted to find out more information Craig sat us down and went through everything we needed to know. All questions he answered straight to the point and didn’t “baffle” or overwhelm us with information but explained everything so clearly which was very reassuring. I also think it’s worth noting I wasn’t asked to write this review at all, whereas at the other company we visited prior we were asked on the spot and felt pressured to write a good review. This felt like a very genuine and honest experience and I will recommend to everyone in the future.

Positive experience. Face masks compulsory whilst walking around complex. Simply ask reception for keys to a vehicle of interest, you are not subjected to any sales pressure....gloves provided for when viewing vehicle interior. No car found on this visit but will visit again.

Good set up with lots of vehicles to choose from, we only wanted to view automatics and so we we're given a sheet with all the details of all the automatics and in which row they where were parked, makes viewing easier. Downside customer parking is limited when it's busy but staff are really helpful and don't hound you whilst you viewing. Most cars are are viewed daily so there not spotless inside but they do valet them before sale.

My goodness, what a pleasant experience buying my new car was from FOW Manchester. From the helpful receptionist directing me to the Coffee machine, to the Sales Manager actually making me one, whilst I awaited the arrival of the Sales person Hannah Conway a few minutes later. At no time did I feel pressured or even uncomfortable throughout the experience. I was directed to Hannah's desk and we went through some paperwork in a friendly and jovial manner. Then we went to my vehicle with a Car Valuer. He made an offer which was a few hundred less than I wanted, but was a fair offer, as I did have 'kerb rash' on all my Alloys ! The vehicle I was buying was immaculate, but priced below market value. We made the deal and I pick my vehicle up tomorrow. A very professional operation, with competent Staff who aren't pushy, but on hand to answer your questions. Congratulations and I would certainly recommend you

I've not had a good experience at FOW for buying a car but I'm sure many others have. The cars are not always prepared in top condition so it's down to you to point out any dents, marks on the car first and then they say they will get those things sorted. I was after a car which hadn't been serviced during the 1st year so made the warranty null & void but this wasn't pointed out. Just be careful is all I'm saying as it's only a 30 day warranty when you buy.

Massive selection of cars. Sports, prestige, SUV's, hatchbacks you name it they seem to stock it. No pressure which we appreciated. Helpful but not pushy sales people. Did not buy from them as we are still doing our research but definitely on the shortlist of garages and may well return in the new year when we have narrowed down our search for my daughters next car.

I've used the company before so i knew what to expect and I more than happy to go back. Really happy with the car I've purchased, the price and generally the customer service i received. The only negative point was upon my initial visit when i declined the extras of cleaning, paint protection and warranty. Because i said no to these very costly extras, the friendly demeanor of the sales rep immediately disappeared and his service became perfunctory. His friendly demeanor did return when i went back to collect my car, but his original behaviour did leave a sour taste and took some of the shine out of buying a new(ish) car. Despite all this i would still highly recommend fords of winsford and no doubt I'll be going back again to buy my next car.

Efficient service with a good selection of cars on offer for all budgets. Was a little surprised that paying cash for a car over 15k was apparently worse for the dealer than finance, so no movement on price and no tank of fuel, unless I pay for the wax and wash treatment pack at another £200! :/ (that stuff is the biggest marketing gimmic since the titanic) Was quick to get a test drive and the sales guy was knowledgeable about the car. Didn't really want to go through all the finance guff but apparently you have to now. Can't fault the friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the offices. Just wish there was a bit more on offer for the customer beyond handing over more money, but that's a global experience for buying cars it seems. Hopefully I'll not need to do it again for a while.

The sales lady who dealt with my purchase was polite and professional with no high pressure sales. Within 24 hours of collecting the car it broke down ( two years old with 17.000 on clock) RAC got it going and in fairness FOW came to my home following morning to collect and repair and offered me the use of courtesy car. Collected my car following day and ask to see sales manager. Summonsed to his office by a minion, treated with contempt and my observations dismissed out of hand, he informed that FOW's chief technician had examined vehicle and found nothing, wrong,disrespectful comments about RAC patrolman. Twenty two hours later it broke down again same fault. Rang up FOW whilst waiting for RAC. In fairness the same sales manager offered me a complete refund without me having to ask. RAC got me back to FOW. This time I spoke to sales manager in a public area, he then went off at tangent about having to keep car for a few days to complete extensive checks and repair fault. I told him I didn't want car and wanted my money back. He was true to his word and following day ( this happened on a Sunday ) received a full refund.

This was my first visit to Fow, when you turn up your advised that you can just walk about and they will be no sales reps. If they are any vehicles you want to look at inside you just to the desk and you can take three sets of keys at a time again with no sales rep following. We booked two test drives now this is the point when they sit you down and it can be very time consuming so make sure you don't have anything else booked. My only bad note I have is when you take the car for a test drive you can't go on the motorway or drive over 40mph.
