In summary I was extremely happy with the service I received from BMW Lloyd in Newcastle. Emma Embleton and Alan Maddison were an absolute pleasure to deal with, which from my experience is not always the case in the motor industry. No question I had was a daft one. Attention to detail is really important to me and the guys exceeded my expectations. There was zero pressure and they made the sales process as clean as they could for me and they were patient which was much appreciated. When you’re spending so much money and couple that with living some distance away from the garage (I live in Lancashire) it can be a bit daunting so dealing with genuine people who cared was refreshing and appreciated. Also a mention to Stacey Standen who was the product genius and supported the handover. Keep up the good work guys.

Brilliant service this morning at Lloyd. Was looked after by Sarah in the service department. She was welcoming, made conversation, even arranged a taxi for me down into town as it was pouring down. A courtesy car wasn't available which although I didn't expect, wasn't this girl's fault and she made sure I was able to get to wherever I was going.
Car was sorted well within the time estimated. Can't fault any part of the service.

Main BMW dealership in Newcastle, and as such main dealership prices as well. Obviously your BMW will be taken care of by them well.
I was puzzled that they ask you if you want the complimentary wash and valet of the car - like anyone is going to say no...but hey ho, perhaps there are people around that prefer their pride and joy dirty!
With cars getting more complicated and more computerised, there are going to be fixes to your car that only a main dealer can fix and 're-programme' and if you have a BMW and faced with that situation, and you live in Newcastle, then Lloyds is not the worse place to go...they are not the cheapest - my fix would have been 2/3rds the cost at an independent, but there was that programming issue - but that's just the way it is...

Have used Lloyd BMW a few times in the past, and took my Mini in last week for oil change and 4 wheel alignment. Always excellent service from walking into the showroom, being greeting straight away, service reps provide clear detail of work to be done/pricing, car was ready within a couple of hours. Obviously you have to accept main Dealer prices, but this garage is convenient for me and always great service.

From initial enquiry to vehicle collection Chris and his team adopted a really professional and efficient approach making the whole process effortless. However last October I purchased the 4th car and for some reason the service by the sales has dropped dramatically having to wait 45 minutes for an appointment, 3 months for a cleaning kit after several reminders. Brilliantly laid out, modern showroom with power hooked up to all cars. Easily the nicest looking showroom I've been to. Lots of staff around and nobody approached/harassed me during my time browsing. Would have been 5* but customer parking provision very poor- no free spaces at BMW despite not being busy, had to park at Mini and get soaking wet!

I have to say as a person previously burnt by dodgy salespersons I was pleasantly surprised at the courtesy and professional attitude shown by the salesman that looked after me (Tom Heslop) at the Newcastle branch.
Tom was very patient and took both me and my wife out in the 5 series and offered us a number of options for purchasing and discuss models within our budget. We went for the 5 series and what a car let me tell you.
Got a great deal on my trade in on my old car and a good contribution towards my new one.

Brought my 430d in for an unidentified rattle from the boot/bootlid area (purchased the car in July 2018 from this dealer too) and from start to finish the service was exceptional.
I booked over the phone and there was no call centre, no awful hold music, just through to a very helpful service advisor who offered me an appointment for a diagnosis the very next day. Once the car was with them I was offered a lift to work in lieu of a courtesy car (I could've had one if I'd waited another week or so for an appointment). They kept me up to date with the diagnostics through the day, unfortunately the car was not ready to collect that evening as parts had been ordered but had not arrived. They provided me with a brand new 320d courtesy vehicle by way of an apology.
They called the next day to say my car would be ready to collect after 10.30. All work was carried out under warranty but there was no quibbling over costs by the dealer or BMW, everything was approved and authorised quickly. Car was returned to me washed, vacuumed and more importantly, rattle free!
Will definitely be back again for any other service work.

I bought an Approved Used BMW from Lloyd Newcastle back in June and dealt with John Graham throughout the process. Nothing was too much trouble for John and I couldn't have asked for better customer service if I'd been buying a brand new car. He's even been very quick to respond to a few questions I've had in the months since.
His honest, no-pressure approach was a breath of fresh air. Everything was clearly and patiently explained and when I finally saw the car it was in just as good condition as promised, which was especially important as I was buying long-distance so it'd have been a long way to go to have my time wasted.
The showroom itself is very nice as well. In fact when I went up to collect the car I took one of my mates along who's a bit of a petrolhead and has been to some nice showrooms all over the world, including some of Aston Martin's as well as the one at Mercedes HQ in Germany. He said it was a great showroom and a superb buying experience even compared to those. Everyone I dealt with, including John's sales manager and the receptionist there, was friendly and helpful and some nice touches like a few free gifts thrown in (including food and drink for the lengthy drive back) went a long way. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again as it was a pleasure doing business with them and is exactly how buying a car should be.

As you would expect this is a lovely building and all the latest cars. I however was looking for a used car, the salesman was very pleasant and I was given a very nice coffee while my details was erected taken. My only problem here us that in my opinion the used car was very much over priced compared to others I was looking at with a lower mileage and newer cars . I pointed this out and the response was it's for a level of service that you get from a main BMW dealership. However at another BMW dealership in Stratston I found them to be more competitively priced

I have been to dealer for check for service needs for my 3 series - advised and quoted too high for the service. Now I replaced my car to 2014 - X3 which needs scheduled service (Inclusive) to be done, but by looking at other reviews (mainly for car servicing), I am worried now where to go for reliable and honest service for my well looked after BMW. Even Stratstone BMW, Silverlink have similar negative feedback for servicing. Both good at selling cars, but not for after sales regular servicing of customer's car. Any suggestions for reliable and honest servicing for BMW X3 ?

Only picking up a new turbo gasket and as usual BMW change specs which means to get the gasket you have to also purchase the nuts. Which adds a further £10.00 plus vat to the cost. Not the garages fault but BMW ............

Purchased a Used BMW X6 from this dealership 2wks ago and felt I had to write a review which is something that I don't normally do! but was so satisfied with the whole process from start to finish.
I was searching for the right vehicle for nearly 3 months on the BMW Website, visited a couple of Statstone Dealerships but to no avail, there was no price negotiation for a start! (Which I found absolutely ludicrous) and the cars were not prepped to a standard that you would expect from a BMW dealership. Anyway, came across this one and made the phone call to BMW Lloyds and spoke with Mark Waite who was very helpful, said the vehicle had only just come in as a px and was awaiting preparation but could send a video across to me to see if it was of any interest to me. The car looked fantastic so decided to drive from Leeds to Lloyds (Newcastle) to take a more in depth look and wasn't disappointed, was met by Mark Waite (Sales Advisor) and took the vehicle for a test drive and to cut a long story short shook on a deal for the vehicle (which was negotiable!) with Mark Waite & Mark Hodgson ( Business Manager) who were both fantastic guys & straight talking.
Just over a week later I picked the vehicle up but in between that wait was kept up to date of the progress which was a nice touch, the vehicle looked absolutely fantastic and I couldn't of been more pleased!! even the hand over with Chris Herrmann was straight forward and easy. All in all a very nice experience and a very well prepped used car, I would highly recommend this dealership and hopefully will be purchasing my next BMW from them, thanks again chaps,

Purchased a BMW 1 Series for my daughter as a present for her graduating with full honours. I found the car online through BMW approved used. Called the garage, spoke with Malcolm Mossop from the sales team to inquire about the car, provided the full information requested and I then made an offer which in turn he had to speak to his sales manager about and promised to call me back. Every call back was as promised, my offer for the car was accepted, then the business manager Mark Hodson called to discuss financing options. Both these guys were amazing, I had such a laugh with them, I did not mess them about and everything was dealt with that very same day. They offered to deliver the car seeing I was travelling over 200 miles but I wanted to collect and meet Malcolm who even on his day off came in to complete the handover of the vehicle. Upon arrival at Lloyd BMW I was greeted with amazing courtesy, offered drinks and made to feel more at home than a car dealership. Car was immaculately presented as I had asked for a full detail on the vehicle due to my daughter being an extreme perfectionist and they did not disappoint. Handover was done as quickly as I could as I respected it was Malcolm's day off and he was not well either. I cannot emphasise enough just how amazing the experience to deal with Lloyd BMW has been and I would not hesitate for even one second in recommending them. Thank you guys for all your help, car was amazing to drive back home and the smile on my child's face was priceless.

I bought a 2nd hand BMW Series 1 in April. Purchasing the car over the phone and collection of the vehicle all worked well. But then I received a letter from BMW HQ saying I should have received a 'Welcome Pack' etc. and saying that 'you can rest assured that we will continue to look after you, long after you've taken delivery of your vehicle.'
On querying this with my Sales person by email, I received no response, I rang and left a message - also without response. I also emailed the address on the letter, to have it returned as undeliverable. Eventually I rang Lloyd BMW again who denied all knowledge of the HQ letter and were generally very unhelpful about what after sales warranty went with my vehicle and what it covered. I found that once the car was sold they were really not interested in being at all helpful. I have no documentation telling me what my Warranty covers, or which dealers I can go to. As a first time BMW buyer I am very unimpressed by this experience.
