This morning we drove of the ferry in Newcastle, fore a two week vacation in Brittain. suddenly the instrument pannel of our VW Amarok light up like a Christmas three. Whe had a massive powerlos, so we looked fore a dealer and endend up at Lookers. These guys are wonderfull, they connectet the car to the computer and within an hour whe where on the road again. Unfortunately I missed the time limit to leave my feedback online, so leaving my review and experience on here. I would like to firstly like to say a massive Thank you to Paul. T. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with. His customer service was 1st class from start to finish. Then I'd like to extend a thank you also to Patrick (Manager) and a couple of other members of the team who i had spoken to over the course of my car purchase. I'd never purchased a vehicle online before and for me I found it quiet daunting. From the very offset, Paul's kind personality put me at ease. I had initially contacted the Newcastle branch seeing a vehicle on their website, due to being let down by the Leeds branch. Unfortunately the car was out of my budget, but as myself and Paul were talking, he found a car that fit, sent me an image across & its what I was looking for. This followed with a small deposit to have the car brought to their branch from another branch. In the days to follow I came down with Covid and was not able to carry on discussion to progress with purchasing the car. I let Paul know about this and he was brilliant. Assuring me that until I felt well, the vehicle would be kept safely with them and contact them when I'm ready. Eventually communication resumed and the sale went through. The car was delivered and it was stunning, even better in the flesh! Unfortunately there was a few issues, which after a few email exchanges were put correct, no questions. To sum up, I would definitely return as a repeat customer to the Newcastle branch and again, I thank all I had communication with at this branch for the excellent customer service provided. I'm torn on this. Bought my Golf GTi from here a couple of years ago and can't fault the service at all (cheers Dean Rochester!). Had a service done and some minor body repairs. Again, brilliant service. However, I've been trying to book in for a warranty aircon repair and I have to say the call centre customer service staff are awful. Very poor attitude and next to no knowledge of how cars work. Add to this that the Scotswood Road, Newcastle, branch are not doing courtesy cars due to COVID (you're a bloody main dealer for god's sake!!). Very disappointing.

Booked an mot two replacement tyres and air con clean and regas. At the end of the work was told rear wiper needed replacement which I authorised the work to go ahead. When that was complete was presented with amended bill and overview of what worked had been done. At that point was told there was a nail in my rear tyre. No option given to have puncture repaired very poor - not only that but no mark on tyre to indicate where the nail was!

Contacted VW scotwood with issues with my Tiguan. Panoramic roof was leaking and also had EM light on due to faulty DPF pressure sensor. I explained that the car ran out of warranty with in the coming days. They managed to book my car in ASAP and got the work done. The roof was leaking due to the roof drains been blocked which they cleaned for me free of charge and when I collected my car they showed me where these drains are and how to clean them which was very much appreciated and it needed two new sensors which was done under warranty. From the First day that I went into Lookers VW on Scotswood road in December 2017, I could tell that it was a Quality Set Up. I was greeted and asked if they could help me. I explained that I may be interested in a Motability car. A Salesman (Mr Joe Johnson) came over and assisted me with any questions I had, he was very polite and professional. It was arranged that I came back nearer to the time that I would be able to make an order. In February 2018 I went back and I was introduced to Ms Alex Martin (Saleswoman), She too was very polite and professional. I decided which Car I would like (Tiguan) and the necessary information was collected from me and I ordered the car. It was arranged that Delivery of the car would be approximately 21st-31st May. Unfortunately due to very high demand for these vehicles, i didn't get my Car till Friday 22nd June. Throughout the waiting period Alex Martin kept me informed of the progress of my order. On the delivery Day my Wife and I went to VW and were greeted by Alex, she took us to a table and asked us to take a seat & asked if we would like a Tea or Coffee, we then done all the relevant paperwork. Great, lets go to your car. Both Irene (the wife) & myself were taken aback when we were led into a bay where the car was under a cover. Alex and Irene pulled the cover off & unveiled My Car, Beautiful. Everything was explained in detail to us. I have had lots of New Cars over the years, but I have never ever experienced such Courtesy & Professionalism as what we received at VW LOOKERS ON SCOTSWOOD ROAD, Newcastle upon Tyne.
