Excellent experience buying a car from Mercedes-Benz in Northampton. Very lovely, welcoming lady working on reception who is attentive and courteous. Offered refreshments during my visit to the dealer. I was given a wealth of information on the car before purchasing and was kept fully up-to-date with how my sale was progressing.
Remy was the salesman who I dealt with and he went above and beyond to ensure everything was ready for my handover yesterday. I was really impressed with the car and the service I received from Remy - very professional and I know I am in good hands for my future car purchases too!

Nick our salesman was knowledgeable, efficient, helpful and friendly. Even though he was fairly new to the business, he wasn't afraid to say he didn't know, but went to find out and involved his Manager when necessary. We discovered there was only one key to the car we finally purchased, but this wasn't a problem, a new key was ordered and we were informed as soon as it was available to pick-up. What a breath of fresh air it was to deal with a dealership that puts the customer first for a change. From the moment I walked in I was given first class service, and I don't just mean the complimentary coffee and biscuits. Sophie the service
advisor i dealt with explained i needed a part for my roof that was going to take some time to come in. She promised she would keep me updated and get me back in as soon as it arrived and true to her word she did exactly that, and going the extra mile at short notice even managed to find me a very nice loan vehicle while mine was being repaired. She also helped me sort out some paperwork that afforded me a huge saving on the work completed.
Nothing was to much trouble for her and communication was first class. I will definitely be buying my new car from here.

The Sales team is generally helpful and knowledgeable. The part department is generally good. The parts department are able to order in items that are not in stock and advise on specifics parts and part kits.
Servicing is a little hit and miss, the booking process is adequate and the annual service is well practiced. However when repairs are needed, this is where things may not be up to Mercedes usually standards. Getting the service department to call you back with updates is the first concern, the second concern is with requested repairs not being carried out. Both concerns stem from a communication issue between the workshop
technicians and the customer services representatives that make up the service department experience.
Beyond these points this Mercedes franchise tends not to have many customer courtesy cars, so early booking is a must. Unfortunately as of recent every time I use a courtesy car from this branch, the fuel tank is just above the red so I must first drive to a petrol station before doing anything else, and the car itself has not been cleared of person items. However the car is generally clean.

I my broke my fuel door cover as it wouldn’t open day before my travels. I rang up Mercedes and got told the part was there and I spoke with Ross Hillary from the body shop department and explained what happened. I thought getting the part painted on the same day wouldn’t be possible but Ross made the impossible, possible! I spoke with Ross at around 10:30 and my new part was ready and he fit it at 2pm, what a quick turn around!! The service I received was exceptional, and so professional.

Where to begin..
I had the pleasure of dealing with Alex B for my new car, who offered nothing but first class assistance and most definitely went above and beyond.
Pre-Sale: I initially was deciding between a C43 at the Northampton dealership and a different car at another Mercedes dealership, so when I called to ask about the C43 at Northampton, explained my situation to Alex and said to him “sell me the car.”
One of the main reasons my decision was made easier (besides the fact that this car was my initial choice) was that Alex gave me all the tech specs, options etc which of course I had done my research on BUT it was more the fact that he sold me the actual car, as in ‘what’ and ‘why’ the car would be the one for ME and how enjoyable the car would be. He did this all without trying to discount/downplay the other car in contention which is what the salesman at the other Mercedes dealership did and I think that’s just testament to Alex’s quality as a salesman.
Even the extra things he did like trying to get the invoice pushed through with the admin team to my external finance provider on time, so that I could have the car ASAP. He even came in on his day off to do the handover, as it was the only day I could make due to my work schedule, that’s the kind of level of service I’m referring to!
To summarise, if there were salesmen/women half has great to deal with as Alex was, there would probably be twice as many cars out there on the road.
I never usually write reviews and in fact this is the first one I’ve ever written and is so lengthy just because it’s one of the best ways to show my appreciation for all his hard work and certainly patience during the process!
Also, dealt with Olli on a couple of occasions when having some minor tweaks done and he similarly was real gent to deal with, great assistance as well. The both of them, great credits to the Mercedes Benz Northampton branch and thank you both again!!

I picked up a new Mercedes hybrid only a few days ago and needed some urgent assistance because of difficulties I was having charging it. Firstly, the response I received from my online enquiry was very helpful and I was allocated an appointment very quickly, despite only a few days until Christmas.
When I visited the Sytner garage, the staff were efficient and friendly and immediately attended to my car. Their expert advisor was great and offered me all the information I needed. She then suggested other steps I could take to resolve the issues I was facing charging the car at home. Additionally, I was then offered time to fully charge my car via the garage's charging pod before leaving.
The service was over and above what I was expecting and I will be using this garage for future service and maintenance. Would highly recommend to other Mercedes owners.

I had a good experience here when I bought this car a while ago. The car could been cleaner as it has dirt down the side of the door. Also I was meant to recieve some goodies from them after I received the car but never did. It wasn't anything too important anyway. The car was a good price compared to other Mercedes garages in England and the rest of the UK so would recommend them for that. I would more than likely to back here.

I have to say the experience could of been a lot better as I was left feeling like I was penalised for buying the car outright, it was simply a handover process no gesture no appreciation for the fact that I paid for something in cash. I feel I would’ve had better service had I done it on the finance. The car was also sold to me with a chip in the windscreen glass and chips on the front of the car the whole reason for me for choosing Northampton us because I live locally and I wanted to give the business locally I feel there is no reward for having done that.
Your company states or rather your website states that the car is put through a finishing process and all cars are sold in pristine condition. for a 2019 nearly 30k I did expect a better car hand over.
I don’t want this to take anything away from the wonderful service James did deliver.

There was a fault which needed attending to also; fault identified and advised I would be contacted with a quote. Waited a week, no contact. The general service from everybody I encountered at the garage was very good, I would not hesitate to do business with them again.
The service I received from Laszlo Nortje (sales rep) in particular was excellent. He was well informed, efficient, kept me fully updated and answered any queries promptly and with patience. I was buying a car on my own for the first time and his honest and informative service put me at ease and I felt confident with my purchase.
I would however like to feedback about the service I received from the garage's financial representative commissioned to provide me with information about financing the vehicle. He was abrupt and rude to the point where I felt the need to challenge him about his attitude. I also considered walking out and I would have in fact taken my business else where had it not been for the excellent service from Mr Nortje, who was able to answer my questions and in a respectful manner.

My husband and I have been looking to buy a Mercedes for a while now. We had booked a test drive at another dealership but someone else had bought the car before us.
Fortunately, we called Mercedes Benz Dealership in Northhampton and spoke to a sales executive - Oliver Martin (Oli). They had just received a C class that we were interested in.
Even though it was at a short notice, Oli made sure that the car could be inspected and ready for us to have a test drive. When we arrived at the dealership, the customer service was impeccable - Oli was very kind, positive, answered all our questions and then we had the test drive. We ended up buying the car.
Oli made sure that he checked in regularly with us and explained the whole process and paperwork. He even went to the office on his day off just to make sure that everything went smoothly when our car was being loaded and delivered to our home address! Amazing customer service! Throughout he took my concerns seriously with respect and reassurance. My car was collected, had all the minor issues sorted and returned. I am very pleased with this garage and recommend fully. I worked with Gregg Pretty for a few months, originally i was looking for an e-class coupe, Gregg was great and as soon as the new model was available he sent over all the information to me, then in a rather irritating turn of events the current car i was driving one day decided it wanted to stop working, i gave Gregg a call and asked him what he had that I could take away that was brand new ASAP, Gregg got me in the next day we went through a couple of options and specs then I decided that the new A class was for me, Gregg said that he would do everything in his power to get the car to the dealership as quickly as possible, and low and behold the car was there in under two weeks.
Absolutely superb work from Gregg he was there every step of the way, got all the docs i needed to sign over super fast, and on the day of collection got me in really quickly, went through the car so i knew how everything worked.

Mercedes Northampton BodyShop repair: the guys in the Body Shop do amazing work.
On the day my car was due to go in for repair I arrived at Mercedes Northampton at 8am, only to be told by Reception staff that I was a week early for the booking. I asked them to check and they said no, I was definitely wrong, it was 1 week later. So I went home, embarrassed to have made the mistake.
Imagine my shock when mid afternoon the Body Shop call me to ask why I had not brought my car in! So I told them of the morning's event.
Drove back to the garage, checked in at reception and not even an acknowledgment or apology from the receptionist I had dealt with that morning. Thankfully, the work went ahead and the Body Shop team kept me fully informed of progress. The standard of the Body Shop team work is very high, as you would expect and I am impressed with the care they have taken and attention to detail.
I highly recommend the Mercedes Northampton Body Shop for Mercedes repairs. Not sure I can say the same about my experience with reception staff - hence only 4 stars instead of 5.

generally good, Add blue not topped up, offside mirrow was turned down for some reason. had some parts to collect, told by the service advisor that they would be brought through or I could collect them. after an hour I decided to go and get them myself only to find when I got there the door was locked and I needed to ring up to get some one to come to the door, after going through all the options on the phone system standing in the freezing cold I managed to get the parts. In saying that the parts department did a sterling job on sourcing my parts for A R129. Also informed that if my car does not get used regularly the stop start will not work, which it has not for at least 12 months

Paying for a service package, two years in a row you've not been able to provide the collection service.
The offer of 3 free valets a year...you don't offer this service at the weekends??? Who can just come along mid week and get that done?
Then on collection of a loan vehicle, to be told there is no fuel in it and you have to do that yourself???? Would expect this from lower budget companies...not so called prestigious companies such as Mercedes. Amazing how the small things like this are missed.
Other than the negatives above, the people are awesome, very helpful & considerate. It’s a very professional and relaxing environment.
Apart from the poor service plan I would recommend Northampton Mercedes.

Sales are great, but once they have your money customer service goes out of the window. Booked car for service in person. When I was called to confirm the booking I was given a different price to the one quoted, they had booked the wrong service (B instead of A) and had not noted i needed to wait while they did it so was booked for all day. When I rebooked using their online system that too created issues. If it wasn't for the fact I drive a AMG model I wouldn't be using a franchised dealer.

Even though my car went in for an MOT and failed i had a conference call to attend and rather than sit in Mercedes Neil very kindly arranged for me to have courtesy car last minute so i could get back to attend this and allowed me until Saturday to return it.
Over the last 4.5 years of dealing with Mercedes Northampton they have been probably the best by far when it comes to services and helpfulness I've ever experienced; now our company have decided to got to Toyota and we don't expect to have anywhere near the service we've had since being with Mercedes.

I've visited the Mercedes Benz dealership in Northampton on numerous occasions in the past 3 years or so, both to purchase a vehicle and also service a vehicle.
The atmosphere is very welcoming and everyone there looks like they will try their best to help and keep me satisfied.
Servicing has been straightforward, they kept me updated and I never had to be faced with nasty last-minute surprises or costs that I was not expecting.
The sales team is friendly and make you feel comfortable.
Although this is not my nearest dealership, I do prefer to use it year after year

The service is aligned to the price of their product - which is good - so you get what you pay for. I had problems when i bought new car from them, not great from mercedes but great from the delaer in sorting it out, softening the blow for me and giving me a good customer experience. They'll likely ensure i buy another merc.

To obtain 5 i would have to purchase a car without issues i would also not have had to replace some of the wood venear due to it mysterioulsy wearing. So your service is irrevocably linked to your product and vice versa. Hence 4 not 5.

Sophie, the Body Shop Administrator, was brilliant. She kept me informed at all times about what was happening to my car and when the repairs to it would be completed. She was always bright and cheerful on the phone. She and other staff went the extra mile in ensuring that my car was delivered to my home address late in the day as I needed it. Excellent service! Not the best experience. Difficult to book the car in for what we wanted, given arrival slot and told not to arrive early. Arrived on time and customers arriving after me were dealt with ahead of me.
After the MOT was completed we received a call to say that the car had passed the MOT and then while on route to collect received a 2nd call to say it had failed on its windscreen wipers. Arranged to have them replaced and car retested which was done prior to our arrival.
On collection we raised the issue on the 2 conflicting phone calls which we were assured would be investigated and get feedback on but still waiting.

They had managed to reset the window by computer, it would of been easy for tgem to say they had replaced the motor ( I would have been none the wiser) they didn't and for that I am eternally grateful. People often complain about main dealers ripping customers off. This has never been my experience at Mercedes of Northampton. Had an issue with the main console screen in our Merc. Quoted £100 to diagnose the issue. After diagnosis quoted nearly =£1000 to fix. On going to pick it up the bill was only £100? The mechanic had spent a bit longer playing and obviously resolved the issue. How fantastic is that? Nice to deal with a place that has a bit of integrity these days. First time purchase from Mercedes Northampton and I can honestly say it was a pleasure. I raised an online query for a GLC I saw on the Mercedes website and I was contacted on the day by Fabrice. He sent me a tailored video of the vehicle. I made the purchase and Fabrice arranged for the vehicle to be ready for me at the time I needed it.
I subsequently needed some work needed to be completed on the vehicle and John Stuart-Smith arranged everything despite the Covid19 difficulties. John provided me with a courtesy car and arranged for the work to be completed swiftly and to an excellent standard. Richard kept me informed of the progress of the repair work and got my car ready for a quick turnaround.

Had to send my car into the Mercedes in Northampton for body repairs due to someone hitting in to me. The Mercedes team handled everything from the initial phone call where I told them I had an non fault accident. They referred me on to Auxillis which was a company that dealt with everything and allowed me to sign in and watch the process from initial registration to courtesy car transfer to body shop repair. I dealt with a lady called Sophie Bradbury who is a body shop administrator and she was so helpful and supportive. She kept in touch with updates regarding my next process and she was support professional and genuinely nice. I found the whole process absolutely easy and the support from Mercedes was reassuring and helpful!

My vehicle was in with Mercedes-Benz Northampton due to an engine problem that was quickly diagnosed and repaired. While in the workshop the team noticed I had some badly worn tyres. Due to this being a lease vehicle the tyres have to go to a different garage. This caused a delay to the return which was of no fault of the Mercedes but despite that Neil in service did an excellent job of keeping me informed and when let down by the tyre company was able to assist in provision of replacement vehicle despite the delay being no fault of their own and customer service was second to none.
On top of this on the day of collection of my vehicle I was caught behind at work meaning I arrived at 1835 with Service closing at 1800. The poor remaining staff did what they could to return my vehicle even though they had already shut up for the day. The Service Manager (didn't get a name) was able to find the details and return my freshly cleaned car not leaving until gone 1845.
There was even a £10 in my cup holder which I lost down the back of my seat months ago and had forgotten all about, so the team here are honest on top of their good service. Thank you all.

I was dealt with by John Dunkley who was not at all pushy but was very informative and professional. The handover of the car was not hurried as in other dealerships and John took time to explain and demonstrate all the features of the car. I would certainly recommend and use this dealer again.

This time was just as great, if not better. I bought a car from Mercedes- Benz Northampton. Everything you should expect to be honest from a Mercedes dealer. Friendly staff, that kept offering drinks and refreshments, nice staff, including the sales staff who were never remotely pushy. Just fantastic service from making an online reservation and having it confirmed, to a courtesy call to introduce prior to me travelling. Bought a new car and made appointment to collect it.On arrival the wrong number I.e.350 instead of 450 was on the back which took 1 hour and little communication to be fixed.We were then to get a free tank of petrol but had to go to a garage to fill up instead of already being full on arrival.I wanted a mercedes rubber mat for the boot and asked for it to be ordered and put in the car,which I would pay for when collecting.Had to go to spare parts office wait collect and pay.

Just purchased my first ever Mercedes from here, and I must say so far I am absolutely thrilled. I was greeted within seconds of walking in by Callum Fletcher and throughout the whole 4 week process he was extremely helpful and professional. He always stayed on top of things!
From day 1 to driving off all the staff especially Callum were extremely nice and accommodating. After the purchase of the car I received a call to see how I was getting on etc. Honestly this is the best service I’ve had when buying a car.
The car itself is in great condition and unlike other private dealers there are no hidden fees! From the second I walked in I knew I could have confidence in buying here and was able to relax.
They are a little bit more pricey (cash price) however when you compare quality, car history, perks such as drivers club and drive away insurance & the fees Sytner are by far best value for money!
The whole process has been so good that it looks as if my mum will be buying her car here in the next few weeks!
I have seen a few negative reviews on here and to be honest I’m shocked because whilst I was there I never ever saw anything negative occurring and just saw top notch customer service!

- service Confirmation said ‘2 hours 18 minutes’ but I was there 4 hours.
- initial welcome is excellent and hot drink provided by my greeter- but then no one asks if you’d like another over the next 4 hours and you feel like you’re being ignored.
- if you go to find someone at the coffee counter you can’t risk leaving your belongings on the table, and others then come and use your table while you’re not there (as happened to me)
- invoice not explained adequately - and Why not mm tread instead of meaningless red/amber/ green rating?
- left my dashcam unplugged, and I found my stop/start button in the centre console
- cleaned it - but wheels still dirty.
Not good enough I’m afraid!!

Update 16/11/19: car back in for another service. This time it required a couple of new tyres, but having only been informed of this about 2:30 on a Saturday things were rather tight. So we came back over, collected the wheel with tyre and took it over to Tyres Northampton, got it swapped and brought it back to Merc garage to be refit and the wheel alignment could be carried out.
The garage weren’t able to get the tyre replaced that day and it would have been another £40ish, so it was worth the faffing about.
Having booked the car in and dropped it off just before 8am on a Saturday i mistakingly assumed they would start my car being the first booked in. But as I had a loan car, it was left until later in the day.
Moral of the story, either stay and wait for the car (I did this last time but was warned this would be a longer service and turns out there was some warranty work to do) or say you need it back by lunch time.
But... Keith in servicing was great and flexible to get the car sorted out and it was really appreciated. Thx

A fault kept coming up on my dashboard. Took the car straight into the Northampton dealership and I was handled with an exceptional level of curtousy from the reception staff through to the technicians. I believe the technicians name was Gary. By the time I had drunk my latte and eaten my millionaire shortbread Gary had diagnosed and fixed the issue. He explained in detail what had happen and how to maintain it from happening again. To top this high level of service off he even had my car cleaned both inside and out. A couple a weeks ago I saw a Mercedes Benz C class sports on the website which I was interested in and I made an enquiry by email.The next day I was contacted by John Dunkley who informed me that the car I was interested in was not available, however there was a similar one available which he could offer me.He sent me the details and I put down a deposit to reserve the car.
John gave me a date to pick up the car.He picked me up from the station.The whole transfer was hassle free.He even took me on a test drive and he went through the essential features of the car with me. The handing over ceremony was so memorable and he called me after a couple of days to see whether I was happy with the car.

A couple of months ago I wanted to change my beloved white Mercedes C class. So popped into to Riverside Merc to see what was available. Great welcome at reception who introduced me to Callum . Who was extremely helpful, listened to what I wanted, didn’t rush things, took his time with myself and my husband. Spoke to ME which was great, at other car dealers they spoke to my husband !!! We saw the car that fitted my spec and Callum took me on a test drive. After a couple more visits and calls, the car was mine. On the pick up day unfortunately Callum was off ill but Liam did a great handover , showing me the inside of the car etc.
I did return a couple of weeks later to meet with Callum to show me the inside of the car again as there were things I needed to go into more detail with lol. Wasn’t a problem at all, he spent 30 mins with me then offered to have it cleaned! What a nice touch. So I sat with a coffee !!
I just have to say It was a pleasure to buy another Mercedes. Callum is great and I’m sure will go far in Mercedes but also a big thank you to Richard, Liam, reception team and the guys that clean the car !

This time the car was for my wife and we were very lucky to talk with Nino Parello who explained in detail every question my wife had about the vehicle.
After test driving the vehicle we sat down with Nino and his team and worked out a mutually agreeable deal in a very short time.
Again the Sytner team were nothing but professional and were looking to make the deal work.
