Highly recommended! I’ve used this garage on a few occasions now. John (owner/mechanic) could not be more helpful. I’ve always found him to be very knowledgeable, but explains everything in layman’s terms, so you fully understand exactly what work is being done. He also only does work that’s necessary. He won’t try to tell you something else is wrong with your car to try to get more business. He treats your car like it’s his own, doing the very best job he could possibly do, without over charging you for the privilege. If you want a good job, at a very fair price- he’s your man!

My clutch had gone on my Renault Clio and unfortunately I had very little time to get it repaired before I left Nottingham. John was able to repair the clutch in a day, despite being a difficult clutch to pull apart. The replacement is excellent, just taken the car on a long motorway journey and it did not miss a beat. John was also very approachable, professional and communicated what had been done. Would definitely recommend.

The owner, John, knows his stuff when it comes to cars and he’s a really nice guy too. Nothing is every to much bother for him, always happy to explain the work before carrying it out and does not charge the earth. If you are fed up paying too much at the main dealers and are looking for an independent garage to look after your car, then I would recommend JM Autos.

After being told by another local garage that my engine was damaged beyond repair, I took my car to John at JM Autos. He took his time to investigate and get to the root cause of the problem. I am now on the road with the engine sounding as good as new and for a fraction of the price that I would have paid for a reconditioned engine. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
