Brilliant experience from start to finish! Only dropped into the dealership on the off chance, as always been a BMW driver, but met a lovely salesman called Ali, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Chris and the team absolutely delivered today! Car went in with what only felt like I was driving a tank and I drove home like I was flying! The attention to detail they take is outstanding. Chris went above and beyond to ensure the fault was found and resolved quickly by his team. Same day in and out with the extra added bonus of their courtesy car I was able to continue with my work and was not affected at all. Friendly and helpful staff. Shocking stores system. I went for a replacement bolt for the spare wheel carrier. There are 2 different ones I could've made either work. 2 stores locations empty. But they did have the £17 one available. It now on order.

The service received from VW Peterborough was and always has been, exemplary but my gripe is with Group 1's call centre who mislead customers by indicating that work will take much less than time than it actually does. I booked in for an air conditioning service and was advised by the call centre that it would take 1-1.5 hours. On this basis I decided to wait at the garage while the work was done. When I checked the car into the garage I was told that the work would take at least 2 hours (it actually took nearer 2.5) if the call centre had told me this I would have made other arrangements rather then wait in the middle of an industrial estate with nowhere to go to spend anything like quality time. This is not the first time that this has happened to me and I appreciated VW Peterborough giving me a discount on the bill (hence 3* rather than 2) but Group 1 have a fundamental problem with the algorithms used by their call centre which do not represent the operational reality which the customer is confronted by.

Super friendly staff, awesome little pods to work whilst waiting and unlimited coffee. What's not to love!

They had a car advertised which was a good price, then 2 days later it goes up by £3000 when I messaged about it they said it was a Computer error. I think it’s very poor for a dealership to getting a price wrong by £3000

Nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly and pleasant surroundings with free refreshments and WiFi while I waited for service to be done. On getting home I realised that I had left paperwork at the garage. One of the service staff went the extra mile and dropped them off on her way home (I live 20 miles from the garage). Excellent service by both ladies who looked after me. Would definitely recommend taking your VW to them.

I was greeted in a friendly manner by Rachel Wicks in the Service Department and by Chris Parkingson the Service Manager. My repair was discussed and I left the car whilst I went on holiday. Chris and Rachel arranged for the repair to be done under warranty. Rachel sent me a Healthcheck Report and video by email and also had the car valetted whilst I was away. On my return Rachel again greeted me in a friendly manner discussed the repair and the healthcheck report. I was very happy with the way I was dealt with. My only concern is that, with Robinsons not being on a bus route, the courtesy transport has not been reinstated after Covid restrictions were lifted, involving me in a £10 taxi ride.

Just bought a brand new car from them. They matched the best price I could find and there was no pressure on trying to get me to agree to the deal. I’ve been in a couple of times over the last few years looking, although this is the first time I have bought. But, each time I have been in they have been spot on. I would definitely go back here on the strength of my recent experience and would recommend to others based on this. Elliot in particular, whom I dealt with was first class in every aspect.

Collected an approved used GTI this weekend and had a great experience from start to finish. Jack Robinson at Head Office contacted me within half an hour of my enquiry, answered all questions, sent a video of the car and advised me on how to get the best used car warranty with them. Kirsty then took over the sale, it was stress-free the car was prepped to a really high standard and an additional request was honoured free of charge. Took my friends PD170 on to see if there was any previous recalls for the car which there wasn't. They can also provide you with a full diagnostics and health check on the car for £60 which you can't grumble with at all. The staff are well mannered and would happily speak to me like an adult dispite the fact I was wearing baggy trackies (the stop yo the dealer wasn't planned otherwise I would of dressed more appropriate) if they need your car for anything they will offer you a service to drop you off in the town centre or at work which would help out massively. Clean showroom and nice and peaceful too

Communication was excellent which reassured us as this was the first time we've bought a car without physically seeing it! The VW Tiguan lived up to the hype that I had researched online. Took my car in to Robinsons VW Peterborough for a diagnostic because I had a rumbling noise that sounded very much like faulty wheel bearings but it turned out to be due to stepping wear on the tyres and I was sent a useful video of the wear. As I had only recently purchased the car from Robinson’s, I was concerned that there might be underlying problems with the car so I asked to speak to a technician to get advice on the causes and prevention. I wasn’t able to speak to the technician on the day but Robinson’s arranged a call for 8am the following day. Disappointingly I never received the call until late morning, however the technician was helpful and offered some insight in to the problem but wasn’t able to explain why it had happened on my car. I feel that the service offered by Robinson’s could be improved if customers were able to speak with mechanics rather than be left with showroom/reception staff, who although polite and courteous could not answer the technical questions I had. I have since looked up the problem with stepping tyre wear and it seems the general advice is to alternate the tyres every 5k miles to even out the wear.

A Gentleman today restored my hope that it’s not to hard to be polite, trustworthy and put me the customer and my wishes first.. I know sometimes it’s hard to please people but when we spend so much on a vehicle, that extra help and a feeling of trust is paramount.. I got that today,!! Booked my girlfriends work van in with Katy for a smell of fumes in the cab area on Tuesday, she advised it could be looked at on the Wednesday (next day) so I took the van over for my girlfriend as I work a few doors away. The service I received was top notch, the car was diagnosed, repaired, cleaned and back to me all in the same day. Katy was superb from the minute we booked the van in through to the constant communication as the day went on with progress. It isn't even my van but I have to compliment the service from Katy it was superb. I work in the same industry for a different manufacturer and think that Katy really deserves some sort of recognition as finding good staff like her is very difficult. It says a lot when a customer drives past their local VW dealer to get to one owned by another motor group! We chose Robinson's after poor service from our two most local VW dealers and it was a good decision. We were immediately greeted by Nick in sales when we first strolled in looking to enquire about a vehicle for sale at a different Robinsons branch that we had seen online. The sales process was pleasant all our needs were met with the vehicle being made available to suit our timescale. The part exchange price we were offered for our old car was fair as was the price of the Golf we purchased. 6 weeks after purchase a fault occurred with the used Golf we had bought (no fault of Robinsons) and the issue was quickly resolved under warranty with a loan car provided for the duration. A second less serious issue occurred 8months after purchase and again Robinson's repaired the fault swiftly under warranty and again provided a nice loan car to avoid any inconvenience to us. Every time our Golf has visited the dealership for either warranty or maintenance work it has been returned fully valeted! We intend to keep this car for a while as we love it! But when the time comes to change we will certainly return to Robinson's VW Peterborough!
