I purchased a 120d coupe. Called up Tom, asked him of any issues, wear and tear etc. He described perfectly what marks and so on it had. We came down to see it and test drive. Car drove fine, was as described, I purchased it, he took some money off for a couple faulty bits, fair enough. A week later the engine came on, read the codes, was EGR and air mass faults. Got in touch with Tom, he said no prob, bring the car back and I'll sort it, so I drove from Exeter to Plymouth, was car-less for a few days which was annoying but he 'sorted' the issue. A week later, light comes back on, same issue. So I contacted him, he said no worries. So again, I drove to Plymouth, this time he sorted a courtesy car. It was a really poor car, horrible to drive, etc. But whatever, not the end of the world. About 2 weeks later he told me car is good to go, come and collect. Came to collect, his garage did a new EGR, Air mass sensor and a carbon clean. The inconvenience of not having a car and going back and forth was a lot. He dropped the car back to me, car was running fine. 3 months go by, light comes back on, same issue. I tried to contact him, to which he didn't reply. So here I am, putting my hand in my pocket trying to sort the issue. I'm not sure what back street bodger garage he uses but I wouldn't recommend unfortunately. He is a lovely guy, however, if he really cared he would've had it taken to a BMW specialist, and used genuine BMW parts. I am more than annoyed at the situation as it is a lovely car but he clearly knew there were issues and didn't sort them sufficiently. Huge inconvenience.

Tom helped me understand the difference between PCP and HP when it comes to finance options . The cars that he has are very good, hand picked, with good technology and low mileage. Tom at crown cars was extremely pleasant and went well out of his way to help me after writing my previous car of 3 days off in an accident, Tom had the car I wanted, from the finance application all the way through to collection Tom kept in touch to see how I was getting on with sorting out the previous finance and was very patient whilst i sorted this. Collected my car from Tom with a thorough handover Of the car, finance and warranty that came with the car, my other half had purchased a car from Tom previously and we recommend Tom to anyone looking for a quality car in Plymouth as all his cars are of top quality! More than the extra mile in customer service. I found the car I was interested in and at every step of the way Tom kept in contact to let me know how the Finance was proceeding. I was keen to pick up my car on my day off but a slight delay with the Finance ( my fault) so Tom arranged to pick me up from the trainstation well after closing time so I didn't have to wait. Amazing service and I know when I trade this car in I'll be going back to Tom.
