This is a message to recognise excellent customer service today at the Plymouth Branch (Thursday 13th October). My day off did not start according to plan today as I came to my car to find my battery was dead. After getting the AA out to find the issue they advised to get it seen to as soon as possible after suspecting a faulty alternator. I phoned yourselves to initially be told very apologetically that I could not be fitted in until mid November. This left me a bit upset as I need my car everyday and I couldn’t see how I could make it until then. I admittedly did push a little to be seen today. Vicki and hannah (?) we’re both excellent and conversed with a manager to see what could be done. Although I never spoke to this manager I would like to show my appreciation for them too. I work in management and know that making a decision to fit an unexpected customer in on an already busy day would have an impact on the remainder of the day. Everything was looked at very promptly and within a couple of hours I had my car back. So I’m very grateful to everyone who helped me at evans halshaw today and even more happy I now have a working vehicle.

From me seeing the car on their website, and me getting in touch by telephone after things went pear shaped trying to reserve the car online for a viewing, I rang and the staff were helpful on the telephone. I have dealt with Ryan and Rob on many occasions regards various cars and have always had the most amazing experience as nothing was ever to much trouble. The service desk was excellent and I was grateful they squeezed me in for an MOT as there is a massive backlog and prioritised my cars work as i was waiting in town for the works completion. They kept me up to date with progress and work to be done and carried out my service plan service, one word of caution, ask the price of any additional work before you sanction it, a tyre change turned out to be unexpectedly expensive as did a rocker box cover joint, but overall satisfied with the service i received in difficult times which they managed well.

After allot of confusion and annoyance my car is fixed now but the ride was not easy. No disrespect to the lady who dealt with me but the part I ordered, they were not aware arrived in black and had to be sprayed. After sitting in the showroom for an hour to find this out, they quoted me another 70 pound to spray it up. After some discussion, they agreed to knock that 70 down somewhat. Now the part has been replaced and it is working fine and everything but I'm not sure I would book it in there again once my warranty is up in a few months.

I returned the next day to test drive the car but Ian was unfortunately busy with other customers,however he recognised me and apologised and pointed me in the direction of another member of staff. I don’t even know where to start!! We bought a car (myself and my wife) from the Evans halshaw PLYMPTON branch - 3 days after having it - it started to go horribly wrong - after 3 LONG months. Still nothing was fixed, an exchange took place leaving us out of pocket by ALOT, my wife was on the verge of a breakdown to say the least! So, we went to Vauxhall Evans halshaw in Plymouth on the Barbican approach - to try and exchange the 2nd car we were given by the other branch, they were happy to do this, but to cut a long story short, we ended up giving the 2nd car back to the original Evans halshaw & receiving the part exchange funds - in which we used to then purchase the car we wanted from the Plymouth branch (on Barbican approach) and I have never ever in my life met such genuine, kind, caring people in my life. They helped us with absolutely everything step by step, they took into account everything we had been through and were so so understanding - the sale of the car we bought went through without any fault & the car we now have is absolutely amazing. 1000000% genuine - all the proper paperwork and steps were taken to ensure it was as smooth as possible. I want to do a big shout out to JOHN EVANS & ROB COLLINGS. These guys were absolutely fab from Start to finish! Please if you know these share this with their management! I went to see it a few days later and took it out for a test drive. All of my questions were answered and I went ahead and bought it. Car has been fine so far, but I've had to call the AA out this weekend as I have had an issue. Hello Team @ Plymouth Evans Halshaw, Today I escorted a neighbour who had endured a long period of ill health during which she had to give up both her car and her licence. Lets call her EF. It took EF a lot of energy and courage to find the confidence to visit a public place/showroom. She was looked after by SOPHIE who had a very warm and reassuring manner. Sophie impressed me because the first thing she did was to 'establish the need' . I felt that Sophie had the right `touch` so left EF in her care to undertake a test drive. My neighbour purchased the car and is looking forward to its delivery. I must say that throughout our time in the showroom all the staff encountered were truly `customer centred`. Afterwards, Sophie confessed that she was a new employee and that this had been her very first sale! Well done Sophie.
