Just bought a used car with Arnold Clark and was served by Ben. Ben was really friendly, professional so helpful in understanding what I was looking for and helping me find the right car. There was no pressure, like I've previously experienced at other showrooms, he explained everything and I felt at ease. The whole experience was a positive one.. the two female staff members, Julie and and a lady with brown hair (sorry I cannot remember your name) were really friendly and attentive and made sure we were supplied with brews (and biscuits throughout). The big boss Eddie also checked we were OK. Overall fantastic service, would return again 😀

The car was in for 1st service and returned the following week for repair to drivers door seal and faulty light/rain sensor . The service took 2 hours and on time. The sensor replacement and door seal took just over 2hours from the appointed time. On both occassions the car had a quick wasshdown. We had to wai on both visits. Not a problem with that I cannot fault Arnold Clark on both occassions.

Living in northern Ireland, it was difficult to find the right car at the right price. When I expanded my search I found the right car for the right price. I did the usual of putting in a contact number and was called almost immediately. I spoke with Eddie, the sales manager. He was able to tell alot about the vehicle. He gave me a brief description of its service record. We agreed he would arrange for a video to be made about the car. The video came and it was Indeed the right car. Jean was the representative that I dealt with. The phrase I would use to describe him is "dead on". after negotiations and agreements, we flew over and Jean lifted us from the train station. These guys couldn't have been nicer. The transaction was simple and straightforward. The deed was done so to speak. This team was strong and you get the sense that they care. Even after we drove away they took the time to solve a slight problem with ease. I highly recommend this place as it was a pleasure doing business with them.

I think the only thing that I could say that needs improving is the way that the video of the service is sent. I was sent mine, and I couldn't understand a word of what the mechanic was saying as he spoke so quickly. With all this said AC is the BEST place I've been within the company. I also dealt with Julie who was the lady that greeted you as you walk in. SO cheerful and chatty whilst keeping her professionalism. She certainly is someone that I would keep if I was in charge of staffing, she definitely is a major part of your 'company staff' and in my opinion deserves some kind of recognition for her work!! My daughter who is 19 had bought a brand new car as her first car from Arnold Clark Preston 9 months ago. She had been extremely happy with her car when unfortunately she had had a bump in it which popped both her tyres. She was distraught. The vehicle had been recovered to a local garage for repairs. She received a phone call the next day from the garage looking for her locking wheel nut. Unfortunately it appeared that either it had been lost or had never actually been received with the vehicle when bought. Without the nut the repairs could not progress which in turn caused my daughter more distress. She contacted Arnold Clark and the initial response over the phone was not the best. However, a visit to them the next day completely changed our opinion. The parts manager who introduced himself as Phil was such a nice helpful polite chap. The issue was resolved straight away. He was professional and was more than helpful and clearly took customer service and the customer experience seriously which made us feel very valued. A service which many dealers lack these days. Enquired about a vehicle on Saturday tea time and within half an hour had a detailed video showing the ins and outs of the vehicle of choice including any minor scratches/wear and tear by the Product Genius. Jonathan Beathan was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble especially given the lateness of the call. Jonathan answered all the questions we had honesty and we were able to reserve the car and drive down the next day to test drive and review. After a bad experience at a local garage we were a little apprehensive about travelling over 100 miles to view the car. On arrival the team couldn’t be more helpful and unlike other garages we visited not pushy. Everything was organised for us including taxing the vehicle, paperwork and was prepped ready to go. All we had to do was make a decision, pay and drive away the same day. One important thing for us was being able to make a decision in our time and not feel pressured to take out additional extras. James the Product Genius helped us set up all the technical stuff which was a great. The guys were excellent and can not praise them highly enough.

Spoke to Phil the parts manager today regarding a door sensor for a Renault G-Espace. Also conversed with Phil about the front and rear suspension and the steering column universal joint. He supplied anecdotes about crankshaft sprocket wear and Renault. Fascinating. Edited after repairs. Phil was correct about the universal joint being responsible for noise and slight judder whilst turning left. Pretty good diagnosis over the phone. How about that!

I do find Arnold Clarke very formulaic with every branch giving you the same speil which makes you feel like just another punter rather than an individual who may or may not buy a car. This place was the same as the other Arnold Clark dealerships with a coven of blue jacketed sales people descending on us when we arrived. They do have a massive choice of cars and will try to accommodate you but it feels pressurised so be prepared. Still worth a look.
