I received as always very efficient service from the dealership in Preston. I could not fault them from the efficacy and speed of the booking process , the timely reminders coming up to the date of service and the arrangements made and the options offered for collection and return with the final hand over first class and faultless. I had contacted Inchcape Land Rover requesting a test drive of a Range Rover Evoque. On arrival at the dealership, Remy Walker met me and looked after me and my mother (who was also interest in a Jaguar E-Pace). Remy was extremely helpful, polite and nothing was too much trouble. After successfully testing driving both cars of interest, Remy quickly was able to offer us deals on both cars that we accepted. The ease at which we purchased both vehicles was incredible. In the next days, Remy continued to arrange the vehicles for collection for the following Friday, Remy went the extra mile to ensure the vehicles were ready for collection a week later, including transferring of private registration plates, guard x, privacy windows etc. We collected the vehicles on Friday 5th August where Remy had arranged for my mother and me to unveil the cars in the private room. This just topped the whole experience, it made mine and my mother’s Day. It was such a wow moment and special experience, one that I will always remember. The whole experience from the first contact with Inchcape Preston and dealing with Remy was fantastic, 10 out of 10. I am extremely happy with the car I purchased and the service provided, including all the after service.
I would highly recommend Inchcape Preston to anyone who is looking to buying a car.

I recently had my 3rd service and requested a cheeky ask, to borrow their lit area to take some images of my D5, only because I missed out the opportunity on taking images when buying brand new.
Even though I didn't buy my D5 from Inchcape, they still went the extra mile and parked my D5 in their handover bay, allowing me to take as many images as required, thanks to Bradley in service who helped arrange this.
Apart from this, I've had great positive experiences whenever my car was in for service.

Very helpful regarding the repair of the fault, even though the car had to go into LR prior to this visit for a diagnostics check, (I supplied a video which identified the problem directly, and would have saved a lot of time and effort). However, LR carried out repairs to a good standard as expected. Liason ith Penny was excellent who was professional and very helpful on the matter. Vehicle pick up and delivery were efficient and on time.
Valeting on th first visit was extremly poor (with the instrument cluster being marked - managed to polish out marks myself - already reported to LR) and apparently interior surfaces wiped down with what appeared to be a sticky and gritty rag.

Go and see Martin! I went to a privilege event just to see what my options were as I was coming to the end of my agreement with my existing Jaguar which I also bought from Preston when it was HA Fox at the old site.
Martin listened to what it was I was looking for, what my circumstances were and my budget. He managed to find me the most amazing Jaguar XE S in White. It suited the sporty but practical car I wanted, with more options on it than I knew existed. He made sure me and my other half were looked after whilst we were there, stocked up with coffee and biscuits. Most importantly, he didn't try to sell me something which didn't suit me, he made sure the car met what I needed.
Martin stayed past when he was due to leave that day to ensure we got hold of the car before anyone else could grab it as he spotted the incredible amount of interest it had garnered having only been put on sale that day, such was the uniqueness of the car.
Martin kept me up to date with the collection of the car and I took the keys just 8 days later. It would have been sooner had it not been for work. So a really great effort to get the car to me as soon as possible.
He's since taken the time to make sure I'm happy with the car and make sure there's no issues with it. To the contrary, it's an amazing car! I've been smiling ear to ear ever since I picked it up 5 days ago.

It took quite a while to get the appointment due to needing a courtesy car, but the service once I was booked in was great. My wife gave birth the night before and the staff were very accommodating when I called up the day before to say I wasn’t sure how the timings would work out. Came to Inchcape to have my Range Rover serviced, after having paid £2500 for my service I was most surprised to find a 6inch pick tool left under my bonnet and more surprised to find you had fitted odd tyres to my car when I specifically asked you to match them. The pick tool could have done major damage had it gone into the pulley system at speed plus the fact I had to remove engine cover to get it out after spending all that money with you left a really bad taste.
Fortunately the service manager Matt who intervened did a splendid job and sorted the tyres out and reassured me that the tools being left under my bonnet were not a normal occurrence .

I was there for an annual service and the N400 recall. on the whole i was satisfied with the service, although disappointing a courtesy car was not provided, given part of the appointment was for recall work. I was however told I could be provided with a loan car, for which I would have to pay, given I was there for servicing. Of course I didn't want to "hire" a vehicle, so opted to work within the showroom for the morning...which would have been okay, if refreshments were available (the machine was out of order) given I was there for 3.5 hours.
All this being said, the service manager looked after me during the visit and provided me with a complimentary gift, which somehow made me feel better about the situation. :)

Extremely efficient you girl called Emily Ridehalgh greeted me when I came in for my car service. Courtesy Car was ready and waiting. The only criticism I have is that you charged me for screen wash when I actually filled it up before I left for the service, and my 165 point check was sent saying the tires were legal,Yet it failed it’s mot after saying a rear tire had a cut in the wall ???????

I visited to collect a Land Rover Discovery Sport. Reyno Nel was the sales consultant and he could not have been more helpful. He ensured I had coffee while I waited and kept me informed as to what was happening whist I waited. He then went through the controls with me and ensured I was happy with the vehicle before I left.
He also followed up the sale with a phone call the next day when I explained there was a slight issue which I had booked into my local JLR dealer for and he subsequently e-mailed me to enquire how this was going.
Excellent service and I would definitely recommend you to anyone. I have only the greatest of praise for a superb consultant and a great representative of Inchcape JLR.

I was informed by the Land Rover dealer that my Discovery Sport required a software update. Because I required a courtesy car, the next time slot available was a month later.
On the morning of the service I arrived at the dealership, the building design looks very impressive and the service representative effectively took all the detail of the work required. She politely showed me to the courtesy car and handed over the keys. Great service so far.
At 16.30 I connected them to ask about collecting my vehicle and was informed that there would be a charge for an oil & filter change. The car had gone in for warranty work, so I disputed the cost. Upon arrival at the dealers to collect my car the service representative informed me that there would now be no charge and promptly arranged for my car. I checked the work and found that they hadn’t completed one of the tasks. Very disappointing, I had to wait for them to complete the simple task.
Conclusion: Overall good customer service with an impressive futurist building. However they are let down due to poor attention to detail.

Booking was efficient, lovely lady on the phone. 3 week wait was a shock but we are still in NHS first so I’m fine with waiting for them.🌈 On the day they were expecting me; I was offered a lift home which was great; saved me the cab fare! From initial phone contact, through to after sales service Scott Wilson has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. We had had a nightmare with another dealer regarding the purchase of an Evoque and had decided to call it a day for a week or two before changing my partner's car - then Autotrader pinged me!
Scott answered my call regarding the car and by the time we arrived at the dealership it was parked right outside the front door for us, with Scott greeting us as we arrived.
I know that this is probably one of the least expensive cars to be sold from your garage, but we received a phenomenal level of service. Throughout the post sale, pre-delivery period Scott kept us updated by phone and e-mail and if he said he was going to do something, he did it - when he said he would do it.
On collection of the car, Scott advised us that there were a couple of paint blemishes that had only come to light in the pre-collection valet. This was going to be resolved the following week, then the media induced fuel panic hit, but even though he was letting us know there would be a delay he still kept us in the loop.
This morning he personally collected Tracey's car from our house and dropped it back this evening with all the work done.
We are truly satisfied customers and Tracey loves her Evoque.
I am a member of the largest regional group of the Independent Porsche Enthusiast's Club and I will be commenting on this experience in our Facebook group, Hampshire's not that far away!

Having a problem with my discovery sport it needed towing to a dealer, My nearest in Liverpool would not take the car for several weeks, my next nearest was Inchcape in Preston (Who I had never used before) they took the car immediately and diagnosed the problem within a couple of days, the repair would have been nearly £2000 as the car was 5 months out of warranty. Dom at Inchcape liaised with JLR and with all his technical knowledge got the repair carried out funded by JLR. I had the car back a day later. All the staff were really friendly and I was so impressed and pleased with the outcome I have ordered a new Jaguar from them. So a big thanks to Dom and the rest of the team. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Shocking Experience.. Shocking Customer Service. Booked a Service online arrived at the dealership they had no record of my booking.. I had taken time off work to go down. They were apologetic, then told they would arrange a collect and delivery for a week later.I advised the car has a service plan. Filled in all my details that they had requested. Before leaving I asked if they had everything they required they said yes. They are due to collect the car tomorrow. I missed there call and was left a voicemail to say the service would be chargeable although i had clearly advise I have a service plan and they didn't know where to collect it from, I had clearly stated I was working from home. i called back was in the queue for 10 mins and then got told I needed to be transferred to someone else the phone just kept ringing for another 15 mins then cut off.. All this happening late afternoon..

They successfully carried out service under the plan and also completed MOT. My car was collected and delivered. Excellent communication through out the day on the progress.

I booked my Jag XJL in for its service at Inchcape Jaguar Preston and I live in Barrow in Furness but work at Heysham so stop in Morecambe.
Martin Collins who works for Inchcape picked my car up from me the night before and took it through to Preston, had it serviced and brought it back and dropped it off with me.
Saved me about 100 miles travelling and taking time off work. Great service from Martin who did the same for me for its service last year.

We were happy with the service that we received before purchase but felt that once our money was paid we dropped to the bottom of the priority list. Disappointed that the car was not fully valeted when we collected it (yet was promised) and issues raised on the test drive were not addressed before collection. Poor after sales service. We had no choice but to take the car yet 10 days after collection we are still chasing to get the issues resolved. Not the service we would expect from a main dealership.

Me and my partner stopped her in our way to the Lake District for a little getaway as he has only just got back from his army deployment. A red warning light came on and lucky as we pulled off the M6 we saw Land Rover/ Jaguar right there. We stopped in hope they could maybe help or send us in a direction of somewhere that could as it was 17.15 and they shut at 17.00.
They were so lovely and the communication was on point. They checked the car over for us and made sure it was safe to drive even though they all were due to go home. However, whilst the current coronavirus restrictions have made it a little more difficult for everyone and we have all had to adjust and adapt, had the weather been poor (it was thankfully a warm dry sunny day) then having to wait outside to retrieve my vehicle, for more than half an hour could have made matters a lot more uncomfortable. Some temporary outside seating would also be a help too, particularly for anyone not able to stand and wait for any length of time. These are the reasons why I couldn't give 5 stars.

I called in to the Preston dealership to test drive ‘on spec’ a Range Rover Sport and my first point of contact was Alan Wood. Despite not making an appointment and the showroom being busy Alan arranged the test drive that day.
From that point onwards Alan Wood has handled everything, keeping me regularly informed, working to my timescale to get the car ready for delivery. On inspection of the car, there were a number of items that needed attention and I trusted Alan and the dealership to attend to these.
Last Saturday I arrived at the dealership to find an immaculately presented vehicle that far exceeded my expectation. The handover took about 90 minutes and, in that time, every aspect of the car and the controls were explained to me.
In over 30 years of buying nearly new to one-year old cars my most recent buying experience has been the best. I have never interacted with a car salesman who has been more professional, dedicated and committed to making sure I was a satisfied customer; it’s been an exceptional buying experience.

I initially contacted Inchcape Preston to set up a test drive of a car I had seen on the Land Rover website. I was passed through to Alan Wood who informed me that this car had unfortunately been sold. He was able to locate me another car, exactly the same speck as the one I was initially interested in but with fewer miles! The car was originally in Southampton, slightly far from my home in Scotland - however Alan had this transferred to the Preston showroom for me.
Buying the car from a distance (and being very fussy!), I had a few concerns regarding condition, having not previously seen the car in person. Alan was extremely helpful, professional and reassuring throughout, giving me regular updates about the status and whereabouts of the car.
As soon as it arrived in Preston he sent a detailed video of the car which was very useful. I thought I noticed some damage in this and emailed Alan to ask. Almost immediately he sent another close up video of the area in question which showed this was in fact just a fin on the wheel arch - a handy design feature which he explained to me.
The whole process was extremely easy thanks to Alan and Craig at Inchcape Preston. The handover was very slick and well thought out, with paperwork being handled by Craig whilst Alan showed me the car and took me for a test drive. At no point did I feel pressured, rushed or talked into taking additional insurances.
Even after the sale was complete, Alan was checking up on me to ensure that I got home safely and that I was enjoying my new purchase, with a thank you email and phone-call the next day.

The visit itself, and the work you carried our was excellent. Following receipt of a short video, I tried 6 times to speak with someone but the phone just went unanswered. I eventually gave up and called your sales department who answered within a couple of rings. They managed to connect me to the person dealing with my car. This has been a problem since you opened and urgently needs addressing.
I have an SVR and my wife runs an SV Autobiography. We also have a Discovery. To be honest a customer who runs top end cars expects better. If it doesnt improve next time, i will use Farnell in Nelson who are the same distance from my office.

I went to the showroom with a simple intention - to see whether or not the children were comfortable in the low back seat of the new Discovery before we went on to look at the Volvo XC90. I then met Alan Wood, and that afternoon I left having pretty much signed for a much more luxurious, bigger engined nearly new model than that which I was thinking of buying when I first went in.
It is fair to say that the process was not completely smooth sailing - the phone lines were down for a fairly protracted period - but Alan kept me well informed notwithstanding the inability to speak directly to me. Despite this, and the inconvenient presence of 2 bank holidays and Easter Sunday in between my first introduction to the car and the pick up, and even with my requests for a host of additional extras to be fitted, the car was ready 1 week after I first laid eyes on it with the finance sorted by Craig without any issues. A (very few) niggles post purchase have been dealt with without difficulties and with alacrity.
I don't, generally, enjoy the "buying cars" experience but I have no complaints whatsoever with the service, professionalism and humour displayed throughout this purchase, from the moment I went into the showroom to the moment I left in the rain to drive down the M6 in my lovely new (to me) car.
I would have no hesitation in returning for my next purchase, although that may be sometime into the 2020s, and would certainly recommend Inchcape Preston and Alan Wood to any of my friend and colleagues. A lovely experience, with Alan in particular going above and beyond at times to ensure that the car was ready.

The test drive was a proper test drive on a range of road types and speeds. It wasn't just round the business park as some dealers insist you do.
Katie spent hours with us and made us feel that the experience had been a special one. She has very good person centred customer skills. Normally feeling stressed in such an environment she made me feel relaxed and listened to. It made me want to purchase from her and that particular garage as if this is the standard of sales, I expect servicing and supporting depts to be the same. I very recently purchased a Range Rover Evoque from Inchcape Jaguar Land Rover Preston. This dealership is over 200 miles away from where I live and I would ABSOLUTELY travel all that way to purchase another vehicle again. The reason being, Alan Wood. I had very specific requirements for the car I wanted to buy and hence did a nationwide search of vehicles. The vehicle I fell in love with happened to be in Preston but I knew that the distance would be worth it. I made a telephone enquiry and was passed to Alan Wood who deals with Used Approved Vehicles. From the moment he picked up my call he was informative, courteous, highly professional and so very helpful. He provided all the information I asked for, even went out of his way to take notes and call me back when he didn't know the answers there and then. Being such a distance from the dealership everything until handover was dealt with by phone and email but Alan's approach was just as personal as I assume it would have been had I been a customer in branch. Swift responses and detailed emails made my experience all the more pleasant. Alan sent me a video of the car taking me through a detailed tour of the vehicle even pointing out the 'not-so-perfect' aspects that you can sometimes overlook on a Used Approved Vehicle. Once I had made my decision to go ahead with the purchase, Alan sent me all the documentation required for signing and took a deposit to secure the car. We arranged and collection date and I took a 3 hour train to Preston. Alan was waiting to collect me from the Station when I arrived and took me to branch. He ensured I had something to drink having travelled so far and then proceeded to show me the vehicle which had been prepared with a red silk sheet and red bow covering it. Alan took me through a thorough briefing of how the car worked, set up my Bluetooth and InControl app and even let me charge my phone as I was running low! Down south, you only get this sort of treatment when you buy a NEW car, and that's if you're lucky. (I know people who have bought cars in excess of £50k new and just been given the keys and waved off the forecourt!!). All in all I have to say that this was the best, most professional, most personal car buying experience I have had (and I've bought 5 cars in the last 8 years!!). I have already recommended Alan Wood and Inchcape Land Rover Preston to a colleague and will continue to recommend to other acquaintances of mine in the future. Thank you Alan and Inchcape Preston for your professionalism and personal approach. I'll definitely be returning in future.

I delivered my Land Rover for a brake recall inspection at 14:00 and was told to expect it to take 1.5hrs.
I returned about 15:15 and it was not ready; fair enough.
After two coffees, an inspection of the showroom and a read of a magazine, I was told that a decision had been made to replace the front brake hoses and it would be a further 20 minutes or so.
Eventually the car was ready and I was given the visual inspection sheet. The work was free to me of course.
I believe that the time must have been close to 18:00.
Thank goodness I was not paying an hourly rate for the work.
I think the video of the visual inspection is a good idea; Bowker Harley Davidson have been doing it for a while.

I advised the receptionist I was leaving and would book with Farnell in Bolton at which point she managed to get Danny to come out and see me. I just fell your booking in system lets your business down as I could see other clients getting frustrated also.

The car wasn't washed as the washing water pipes were frozen but an apology was posted at reception. Unfortunately when starting the car subsequently it still show a service is required.

First of all let me say my interest is Jaguar , first visit to the new preston site and I was impressed by the size of the building , however , my first thought was " My word who pays for all this " . Of course , ultimately , it's us , the loyal customers !
Anyway the service was good , I only went for batteries in the key fob . In my case Labour is free , you just pay for the batteries . The site seemed so isolated where it was in fulwood , unless there is a quicker route from the M55 . As soon as I went to look at the cars in the showroom we were " pounced " on . Do NOT like that at all . That's why only a 4 star rating . Hopefully I can look in peace next time because I am in the market for a newer Jag . Mike

Had a problem with my six months old Discovery Sport, clutch slipping. I got told prior to any work being done by the Workshop Manager that it was possibly my style of driving and the vehicle was small for towing a caravan.
Given that I had towed for the last eighteen years with various Freelanders without problems this would seem a rather thoughtless comment from a person of responsibility?
Needless to say further inspection revealed a leaking oil seal on the engine and a soggy black clutch plate!
Since return of the repaired vehicle it has felt like a different car and towed accordingly.
It's unfortunate that the Workshop Manager soured the relationship from the off with his uninformed comments.

Under COVID19 circumstances, the reception was both friendly and efficient. I was informed by phone of details of replacement work(rear brake discs and pads) that had to be carried out in order to pass an MOT. My only slight comment is that the service reset was not carried out, but that can be done at MOT next year June 2021.Also too the recorded mileage on the invoice was incorrect, recording a mileage of some 1500 miles below actual mileage. Really something and nothing, but points you should be aware of.
