This is a slow review having collected our new motorhome on 8th April 2022, but I was waiting until the snags were fixed so that I could give a full review. We bought a 2022 Auto-Trail Scout (our 8th motorhome and 5th from Marquis Preston). To avoid the 12 month plus waiting list we bought the model that was shown at the NEC in February 2022. Marquis noted an issue with the Gelcoat during the PDI and notified me that their preference would be for a back to factory repair. However, we could collect and use the motorhome in the meantime. In doing so, and as usual with a brand new motorhome, we identified a small number of issues. I am now pleased to report that Auto-Trail has done a great job with the body issue and Marquis has fixed the heating system (small leak from boiler pipe work) and solar charging (failed solar regulator and fuse). I have sorted a few minor things myself, using parts posted out be Marquis (to save me having to collect the motorhome from storage and drive to Preston). On our most recent trip this weekend, everything worked as it should and we are looking forward to our upcoming trips. Having had 8 motorhomes we are are realistic with our expectations regarding problems after delivery and the timescales to fix them (which are not commensurate with the car industry). We are also aware of the impact of COVID-19 and the war in Ukraine with regard to staff and parts availability. With these factors in mind we are very happy with the service we received (which is why we keep returning) and with the quality of the product.

I've recently part exchanged my Marquis motorhome for an Adria camper through Marquis in Preston and I found their service to be excellent. Richard was thorough and kept in touch regularly regarding the status of our new one (which was delayed due to Brexit and the war in Ukraine). When we did pick it up, there was a lorry fire on the motorway making us very late on a Friday night. Richard and Mark stayed back well after hours to handover the vehicle, ensuring we knew all the main ideosyncracies of that make and model. Furthermore, Richard has stayed in regular contact since to aid with a couple of minor snagging issues. Altogether very pleased having had some less than inspring experiences with other motorhome dealers.

My father purchased a motorhome new from Marquis Preston in 2012, he decided 2021 was the year to give up his motorhome after many amazing UK trips, he will be 92 this year!! (As a family started caravanning in the 19609's!) I was tasked with this. I completed a couple of online forms and Adam from Marquis got back to me very quickly, discussed, and gave me an approx value pending viewing. I waited for the others, similar. Adam rang back to asked if I needed any more help so booked camper in Preston for full valuation on the Friday. Alan (Manager) was excellent, got back to me and a price was agreed on the Saturday. Went in on Sunday to sign paperwork for my dad, Monday the money was in his bank account. Excellent service and we (dad and I) think the price we were offered was very fair. THANK YOU MARQUIS for helping us bring an end to this particular era without any extra grief ... was hard enough for dad to give up his camper!!!!

Went in for some minor warranty work, which was completed swiftly and professionally, they even noticed a slight fault with the oven, that I hadn't noticed so they are putting a warranty claim in for a new one. Find the service team very friendly and helpful, especially Jean who goes out of her way to assist in any problems.

We had outstanding customer service from Sharon at Marquis Leisure in Preston, and James in the service department at Poole, who literally saved our holiday through their initiative and flexibility.
In the middle of our holiday the Sargent touchscreen control panel failed, leaving us with no 12v for lighting, water etc. Catastrophic. We contacted Sharon at Marquis in Preston (where we had purchased the motorhome), and she contacted the dealerships near where we were staying in the south-west to see if anyone could help. No dealership had a spare part on the shelf, but James at Poole offered to swap a touchscreen across from a vehicle on the forecourt. We drove across to Poole and he was as good as his word, and within an hour of arrival we were on our way again with the touchscreen replaced. We are so grateful for, and impressed at, this approach to customer service. Thank you!

I have now purchased two Caravelair's from Marquis's Preston Branch. My first caravan a 335 was really nice little unit, and superbly equipped. Easy to tow and a great introduction to caravan ownership. I bought this one in May 2017 and traded it in November 2019. When I opted for the bigger 455 model. I did this mainly because the 455 offers a lot more space. And also the fact as a 4 berth means other family members can also use it.
On both occasions I dealt with Dave Clayton who is very knowledgeable and always goes the extra mile for his customers. I would also like to thank Mike the chap who dealt with the handover of my 455. Mike suggested that I record on my phone as he went through all the controls in the panel above the door. That has been invaluable in better understanding how my caravan works and how to get the best from it.

We’ve recently bought a used Motorhome from Marquis in Preston, Nathan the salesperson was very friendly and helpful, being a national company it gave us more choice without the need to travel, 2 vans were brought to Preston for us to view using the refundable deposit option. We love the Motorhome but unfortunately on the first trip we discovered a leak on the bathroom sink waste pipe, contacted Marquis and within 2 weeks it was rectified (Very happy customers) all the members of the Marquis team we had dealings with were first class and from our experience would have no hesitation in recommending Marquis of Preston (in fact we already have).

Hi Shane thanks for getting back to me. The reason for my call to you was all positive. As you are probably aware we purchased a Benimar 282 from yourselves, sometimes a thank you is not enough. Tom our sales guy was amazing, he guided us through the entire process and although he told us he was new to yourselves his product knowledge was spot on. If he said he would call you back he did and if he didn't know the answer he didn't flannel us he would find out and get back to us.
Ok onto the unsung heroes the service department. Jean and Claire have been wonderful. Despite there being a few teething problems with the van they have sorted them out and as with Tom if they said they would call you they have. Please could you pass on a great big thank you to all of them. I hope you are proud of them because it's the staff like them that keep people coming back.

Not often I bother with reviews but felt the need to share my experience.
I did my homework on this company and I must admit I did see some negative comments and was dubious about buying from them....
Anyway to cut a long story short the Preston branch had the model of Motorhome i was looking for available at the right price so went along to have a look,a few hours later and we had done a deal (with Gordon)and we had px’d our caravan against a 18 month old Motorhome, now this in my book doesn’t justify 5 stars but everything that happened from here does,from picking it up to having to take it back with a couple of minor issues the service from sales to service has been faultless and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Had brilliant service so far whilst buying a second hand motor home. I am adding to this as i have to mention their rubbish aftersales and service. Both myself and my boss had a problem and were told almost 3 mths to get it booked in as warranty work goes to bottom of waiting list. Disgusting. I ended up going to Spinney caravans in Flintshire who sorted me out in 3 days.

After visiting the show at the NEC and looking at lots of PVC variations, we decided on a Benimar Benivan. Fantastic specification, clean and simple inside, option for auto gearbox. We then discovered that the only outlet was Marquis, and our nearest branch was Preston. Marquis had / have a very mixed reputation and we were nervous about buying from them, to the point that we considered buying a Rollerteam Toleno instead. Similar, but just quite not what we wanted.
Anyway, we contacted Marquis Preston, spoke to Dave, swapped lots of emails (Marquis were very prompt and professional in all their responses) and arranged a visit and test drive. A different member of the team met us (Tom) and was every bit as professional.
1st impressions were very good. Polite, knowledgeable, professional. Had a good test drive, negotiated a decent deal, both of us happy. We then had a long chat about our expectations and the poor reputation that Marquis have.
They were quick to agree that the company are not held in the highest regard, explained in detail the company organisational changes, and what they hoped would happen as a result. Fine words doth butter no parsnips I hear you say. But it did seem quite genuine.
Anyway, placed an order, signed on the dotted line and agreed a delivery date. Sorted. Or so we thought. We then decided to go on holiday for 5 weeks so called to delay delivery. Chat with the sales director and the response: No problem. See you in January. Have a nice time.
Researching the forums highlighted a couple of issues with the Ducato - Fiat block a heater outlet for example. Rear side window can be opened when you try to open the whizz-bang door. Called Marquis. Not aware of these but… we’ll sort them. No problem. And they did. Including supplying a couple of window locks to prevent the window from ever being opened (as we requested).
PDI completed. They sent me a copy of the checklist. Very, very thorough. A few problems listed, Most very minor, and cosmetic (plastic cap missing off screws). A couple more complicated (Truma errors). Gas tests completed. Damp checks and readings. The good thing is they spotted the problems and fixed them. It wasn’t just a cursory glance over the camper. It was thorough and complete and honest.
We went up to check the camper out before we paid the balance. Met the service guy who’d completed the PDI. Professional, honest, thorough. Knew his stuff and took pride in what he did. Confidence inspiring.
Hand-over was thorough, detailed and comprehensive. Les. Excellent. Knew his stuff and made sure we understood everything. Complicated bits explained simply. ‘Van was beautifully presented and is an absolute pleasure to drive. Found a problem with the heating system. Marquis invited us to lunch while we waited for it to get sorted. And gave us 1st year's hat check for free due to the inconvenience!
So far so good. We have no complaints. Quite the contrary. We are very, very impressed. I know it’s early days, and it’s good to be aware of potential problems but so far Marquis have exceeded my expectations.
Hopefully Marquis will maintain this level of service and professionalism!

We've bought all of our Motor homes here 4 in total. The staff are very friendly and helpful when you ask/need them other than that they just let you have a good look around however if your looking for a particular van they have over 8 depots over the country and can see if they have that van there and can bring it closer for you to have a look at.

Just taken delivery of a new Mileo 202 from Marquise Preston. Buying the 202 was a very pleasant experience, Dave our sales guy was exceptional, patient, helpful, nothing was too much trouble. what was promised was delivered, we could't have been given a better service, even the hand over by dedicated staff was not as daunting as we thought it would be. Patient, methodical information with practical demonstrations throughout, It certainly helped these new first time buyers. We were even introduced to the service bay staff. Well done everybody we are very happy MH owners. I can not comment on after sales, but I spent alot of time looking at caravans recently and by far, a guy called Rob who works at Preston branch was the best. He listened to what I wanted he spent time explaining things thoroughly and even got a great deal for me on finance. Unfortunately they just didnt have quite the right van in, but in comparison to others these were great and easy to deal with!

My partner and I purchased a 2nd hand, twin axle, Lunar Delta Ti from Marquis 2 years ago. We spotted it on Autotrader and it was at that time sitting at their Sheffield branch, as we lived not that far from Preston, they agreed to bring it to this branch.
It was totally, as described over the phone, 6 years old, one owner with full service history, it was immaculate, we placed a deposit on it immediately.
"Henrietta" is now our pride and joy.
After the second year, on its annual service a small patch of damp was found on one rear corner, this was fixed under warranty after one phone call, how is that for service ?
This is also the only company to give you a THREE YEAR warranty on your second hand caravan bought from them, (beat that if you can)
I would totally 100% recommend this company if you are looking for your next caravan/motorhome, thank you again Marquis for giving us so many trouble free very happy memories.
