My car was booked in for a service with Mini, the receptionist with the newly pink hair seemed more interested in discussing her new hair colour with other members of staff than actually dealing with myself. The service manager George was fantastic, friendly, enthusiastic and came across interested in my vehicle. I look after my car quiet well, so when it came back after the service having been washed with watermarks over it I wasn’t too impressed as it had only just been waxed the day before. When I picked up my vehicle the receptionist didn’t even acknowledge me initially, it was after about 10 minutes of me sitting waiting that she asked me if I was ok, by this time I had already acknowledged George and he was having my car brought round. Overall I’m not that impressed, George is the one positive to come from my experience.

I brought a Fiat 500 a few months ago from Simon at Mini Reading. Simon is the loveliest, friendliest sales person I’ve ever dealt with in the car sales environment. He was so friendly and made the experience so easy for me, being a young female I don’t have great knowledge of cars and always feel apprehensive and anxious about being exploited. However Simon explained things easy for me, didn’t push me and didn’t make me feel like I had to purchase there and then.
Overall it was a really lovely experience and I actually enjoyed travelling the hour I needed to, as when I was there it was like being around friends! All the staff were welcoming and friendly and really made the effort to build a relationship with me which I really appreciated. I even got a call from Simon a few days after I had purchased the car just to check up on me and see how I’m getting on with it which I thought was a really lovely touch!
10/10 experience. Lovely staff. Would definitely buy a car from them again and have recommended to friends and family despite living an hour away!

On the collection day for my Clubman the vehicle wasn't ready the allotted time I was given. Had to wait about half an hour while the cleaning was completed. The hand over was ok but could have been better for a new vehicle costing upwards of £40K. A run through of the basics would have been nice and not having to ask, esp as not owning an automatic before. Was dissappointing to have to call a few days later once I noticed the rear facing dash cam wasn't fitted only to be told it could not be fitted due to the doors-surely this should have been pointed out at the point of ordering the car.A few extras I ordered to be put on once the car had been delivered to Cooper Reading had not been ordered despite this request made in November resulting in hand over being delayed by a few days. surely the parts could have been ordered a lot earlier once they knew the vehicle was on the production line. Dealing with Emma was always pleasant and was kept informed.

I went this week for the first time since I brought my Clubman which was being recalled for a particular safety check. I asked them to service it at the same time as it was due a service. I was met by George. What a lovely, helpful, smiley face of the company he is. They had my car in for 24 hours in the end, during which time I had a lovely courtesy car provided, George was exceptional from the moment I dropped my car off until I collected it. He called me when he said he would, got the car ready for when we had agreed, discussed work that needed to be done without every pressurising me, everything was done to my convenience and the work carried out seamlessly. Overall really dissapointing service. They wasted my day and couldn't do the service on the day due to damaged parts (don't you think you'd check before the customer has dropped off the car!?), the receptionist was clueless, not very forthcoming and I had to ask her to go and get the answers I needed, and the original quote price was wrong but I had been quoted by two different people and they only called me up about this after my car was with them. In the end my service was done 2 days later than planned and it was only half cleaned. I won't be returning unfortunately.

Having test drove a second hand car at Cooper Reading, I left a deposit based on a couple of bits of work being done. The work was done promptly to an extremely high standard but unfortunately due to change in personal circumstances I couldn't proceed with the sale.
Not only were Cooper Reading understanding but they refunded my deposit as well! At all times, Michael and colleagues worked hard to meet my needs and left me feeling like a valued customer.

I took my wife's mini in for it's 2 year service. I waited while it was done. Reception lady was very friendly and very hospitable (couple of cups of coffee made for me) and had fun manner. The service manager was also very helpful and gave me all the info I needed. Overall the environment was was warm and friendly. I was originally quoted £307 on the phone but this was reduced to £260 by Tom without me even asking. They were also able to find a fault with my AC and fix this under warranty. I purchased a brand new car from Gina Lark at MINI in Reading. She was clear, direct, transparent and patient. She helped me to get exactly what I wanted and gave me confidence about making a big purchase, taking time to explain various elements of the car spec to me. I didn't buy from my local dealership, choosing instead to travel quite some distance to purchase the car from Gina at Reading which speaks volumes. The paperwork/admin and the actual handover went smoothly, and she and her Business Manager were accommodating and flexible throughout.

Took my wife's Mini (bought from Cooper Reading 11 months ago) in for service. Would have been 5 star except for one customer service failure. Greeted warmly and efficiently by both front desk and the service department reception, loan car immediately available with minimal paperwork, work completed by the designated time including rectifying a fault on the horn and again all paperwork/payment ready and easily completed. However I had also complained about the leather driver seat wearing badly despite this car being only two years old with less than 2,700 miles on the clock. The message I was given from the people who had inspected it was curt and dismissive - there's nothing wrong with it. There obviously is and I am now following up, this was disrespectful of a good customer who has bought other cars from the same dealership in the past.

Just received car back after having a major bit of work done.. over £3k which proves mini parts are eye wateringly expensive. When we picked the car up there were two big dents in the car which were not there when we dropped it off. Mini were great though and agreed to get the dents fixed which were probably another customer being careless when opening their doors.

Whilst on holiday with my Son I had a small problem with my mini. The staff were very helpful and asked one of the service engineers to look at it. He made the car safe for me to drive home 80 miles. I have a heart condition and was without my tablets so I could not wait for them to fix the whole problem. They refused payment and even gave us cups of tea and a biscuit while we waited. My Mini Countryman had to have a new clutch and flywheel fitted recently although the car had only done 42,000 miles. The staff at Cooper BWM Reading were excellent especially George. It would have been helpful however if they had taken up the case with BMW to get some compensation for failing parts, as I feel that it could not have been caused by wear and tear.

For someone so young with his knowledge of the cars, was first class. I know this as I’m from a car trade family. It is a good company, but I have to say that getting hold of them to try book in a service is a nightmare. I was disconnected repeatedly and internal call transfers don't work. When I finally spoke to someone, there were three of us on the same call. It would be funny if I hadn't been on hold for a while already.
