Car was booked in for a warranty check and on the day it all went smoothly and my advisor was good. However, 6 days after the warranty check and vehicle health check my oil light critically low warning pops up on the dash despite the health check reporting the oil level is full. Not very impressed as I had to waste time outside of work getting this sorted, when it was booked in last week for this sort of stuff to be addressed.

Had my Golf 7 in for a full service and it's handbrake recall in consecutive months. Service was wonderful and the walk through is worth that but extra you pay for a main dealer service. Courtesy car given during recall was a Polo so sort of what you expect, just wish it had been a desiel, as they had to reschedule my recall due to having no loan cars on the original date booked in. Also had time to do a full check over my car but not time to plug an OBD in to see why my cruise control won't work even though that would take about 5 minutes tops, find that a bit begrudging as they want £100 for the privilege of that. Would give 4.5 stars if possible due to this but not able so must settle with a 4 star, can earn the 5 star back as and when I book my cruise control back in to be looked at

My family have purchased 4 cars this week from Marshall’s at Reading. Marcos & the GSM Ridwan we’re amazing. They were extremely knowledgable, helpful and attentive. My husband and sons already had a PCP agreement with VW. (why wouldn’t you?!) and with their guidance have bought new fantastic cars and have driven away very happy. My sons girlfriend has also taken out a PCP for the first time. The turn around was fast, smooth and efficient. We will be back in the future, maybe sooner if I can part with my beloved car!

Not the best VW garage around. I have used this garage on numerous occasions to purchase cars or have repairs etc. On occasion the service has been excellent. At other times, unbelievably awful - Some of the sales team were dreadful at simple administrative tasks and services.

Good service, Rachael went above and beyond to assist us- even calling back to confirm additional details we didn't realize we needed to know, and fitting us in between other appointments already booked. She made my mum feel comfortable and was polite, not condescending in anyway which was a huge change from the other car dealerships we had been to that day. Clean and tidy showroom, with plenty of cars to view. Rachael, although being new to the site, was very knowledgeable and even though she was very busy she made time to offer a superb service. Great experience purchasing our first VW from Ashley DeBell at Marshall Volswagen. A few minor hiccups along route with trying to find the car we wanted in stock however Ash went above and beyond to keep us updated every step of the way to the point where he was even contacting us on his days off. All in all I believe it only took around 3 weeks from our first visit to collecting our brand new T-Roc which is pretty good considering they're in very high demand. Handover process was very efficient and my husband and I left feeling confident that we'd been shown every detail of the car inside & out. I have always found Marshall VW in Reading to be first class. I have just upgraded my car to a new EV. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable so that you get the spec you need, and they explain the additional services and insurance they provide clearly and without pressure. The process could not have been easier. The trade in value for my old car exceeded my expectations (and was higher than quoted by a national car buying company that you all know!). Although I was expecting a sizeable lead time for the build and delivery, since the GTX is a new model, amazingly the sales team sourced one from within their network so I can have my new car within the next few days. Marshall VW had also serviced my previous car from new, and I rate the quality of their work to be excellent. Marshall's I can honestly say is the best car dealership I have ever dealt with.

I was interested in purchasing a VW T-roc and had the very real pleasure of dealing with James Rippon, one of VW Marshall's sales executives. My pevious experience of car sales people has been 'variable', but I can honestly say that James did exactly what he said he would do; understood my needs, described what he would do and when and actively followed up on this. He kept me fully informed and communicated effectively and honeslty. I cannot rate James highly enough. If you're lucky to deal with James if you contact Marshalls, you will see for yourself!

Avoid! They are incredibly pushy and trying to sell you a car no matter what. They serviced my gearbox and when I rejected their quote left it partially fitted. EDIT: After this review Marshall Volkswagen proactively contacted me and explained what they did to the car in detail from beginning to end, they admitted there was a miscommunication problem and offered to help with the inconvenience, which was very appreciated!

I wanted to sit in a Tiguan which I did without any hassle. It was wired up so I could try the different seating positions. I couldn't easily adjust the passenger tray however. I asked for details of the scrappage scheme which the salesman gave me, no pressure. I would have appreciated a brochure but wasn't offered it. That's life.
