Waylands Reading were really helpful and I'd recommend them because since the very beginning Jed Lisiecki was great, I approached him over the phone and he was able to answer all of my questions. Also asked him for a personalised video of the car and he managed to do a very detailed video, so I was confident I wanted the car. He explained all the options to purchase the car and I finally did a part exchange which was really straightforward. A car purchase is stressful these days full of complexity stress and worries, are you doing the right thing making the right choices. Buying and running car should be none of these it should be stress free confident and in many respects a joy. Well in Waylands Reading that’s what you get. Friendly knowledgeable helpful people with a support structure that is seamless in the back ground and sure footed. That’s why I’ve just bought my third Volvo from them and as far as I’m concerned they cannot be beaten for customer service support and making that car ownership experience exactly what we all would want it to be. And of course after all that you have a beautifully designed constructed and delivered Volvo.
Absolutely no hesitation in fully recommending James and his team. On this last purchase Ollie was the model of the kind of car sales person everyone would want knowledgeable personable but in no way pushy.

Never bought a Volvo from a dealer before. On a long journey my wife and I were contemplating buying a fully electric car. Found the XC40 - looked for a local dealer and found Wayland. During the course of the journey chatted on line with Alannah, who had obviously seen us looking at the website, and by the time we reached our destination we had an appointment for a test drive. One more meeting with Ashley a week later to discuss detail, and a hand over the next week. We were lucky - the lead time for a new car was a year and Wayland Newbury had the care in stock that would have been our first choice. All very easy and satisfactory. Great service from Scott at Waylands Reading. We visited 3 different dealers on one Saturday to look at a range of cars and the best experience was with Volvo. Scott was extremely knowledgeable, never pushy and really knew the product range which wasn’t the case with the two other dealers. We spent quite a few hours looking at a range of XC60s and 90 and never felt we were being rushed.
Following a second visit on the Sunday we purchased the car and the whole process was very quick and easy. Scott was then able to get the car ready with a tow bar fitted by the next weekend. Very impressed and look forward to dealing with them in the future.

I've just purchased a 2019 XC90 R Design from Waylands Reading and this was a first class experience from start to finish. I'm over the moon right now. I first went there to test drive a XC90. It's a great modern show room, well organised with regards to COVID so I felt safe while still feeling the premium welcome you'd expect from Volvo. I met Jon who explained everything about the car and paid great attention to my needs after the drive. I wanted a used car but there was nothing available at the time with the very specific extras I wanted.
I'll be honest, at the time, I wanted to spend a bit less and buy an older model from an independent retailer. Well the quality of the cars (scratched inside and some outside despite "great condition" posts) and the service at independent used car retailers made me rethink that quickly. Jon called me back with a car that had everything I could dream of. It was slightly above my budget but much newer, very low mileage and with over 2 years Volvo Guarantee left. Jon’s detailed knowledge and advice convinced me, without him being pushy at all.
The process to trade in my old car, buy the new one, tax it etc, was very smooth. Jon also explained all the main settings I should know of from minute one. He also made sure I was leaving with a full tank of diesel which was a nice surprise for a used car. I left very happy with the experience and the car and also confident I got a good deal and value for money. Thanks a lot Jon, I’m already in love with the car.
If you’re after a Volvo, new or used, I can’t recommend Waylands Reading enough, you won’t be disappointed!

The dealership expertly and efficiently managed a warranty fix on one of my cars wheels - no more or less than I'd expect from a Volvo dealer.
However, a 5 star review is due because of the help Dave Clark gave me to fix a kerbed alloy wheel. He didn't have to agree to arrange to send the other wheel to the repair shop whilst the vehicle was in the dealership, but I'm so pleased he did. It was a pleasurable experience dealing with Dave for the wheel - even when he had to give me the news that the damage was more extensive than originally thought.
I now have 2 perfect front wheels!

Recently collected our new car, to the schedule promised when we ordered, from Waylands Reading, switching after many years with Audi. Visited many dealers in the process, found Waylands had a warm welcome and were considerably sharper than some dealers for other brands, a couple still haven't been in touch and one keeps trying to arrange our first visit again and again via a new contact each time !

This might be a unfair review but after trying to book a service for my xc90 for 4 weeks am disappointed with the comms. Firstly, filled the online form. No response. Secondly, went there and as service was closed my number was taken and I did get a missed call on the following Monday, no voicemail left. I then returned the call was told the folks were busy and they took my number. No call back. I again called and left my details no reply. Now back from a 2 week holiday I might try further afield - Newbury/Maindenhead. I am sure they are a delightful bunch of people but this has left doubts in my head.....

Really nice dealership. Went in to test drive an XC40. The dealership is bright and modern with plenty of parking. As I arrived I was greeted at the front desk and offered coffee and biscuits this was very nicely presented. The sales assistant Elaine then showed me over the vehicle and went through the options.
