A very complicated issue with my mother in laws car which she foolishly bought off a very unscrupulous garage in London. Incredible service from Dusty! I took my car here recently to have my air con checked as it wasn't working they didn't charge me for a check..service was fabulous so I took my car back again as I had service lights on my dashboard and they diagnosed a problem charged me for the diagnostic...but were completely honest with the problem and recommended I try a cheaper part and have fitted by my brother in law to save me a bit of money dusty was very friendly and open and honest very reliable company 🙂

The lads agreed to take a look, found the problem and fixed it very quickly. I can not rate this gatage highly enough. As a women i feel a bit anxious aboit goong into a garage and asking for repairs on my car due to being over charged and work being done that is not nessery but this garage is amazing!! They are polite and friendly and nothing is to much trouble for them. Will definitely be using this garage in the future.

Took the car in as the oil light had come on. They did a diagnostic test and kept me in the loop as they were thinking of different options from the oil pump to oil sensor. They replaced the sensor first and that fixed the problem! If I ever need anything doing to the car again, I'll be sure to take it here.

My car suffered a sudden puncture while I was between visits to children on my caseload. Would have potentially waited ages for a break down service but by sheer luck, I was close enough to roll into Formula One. They fixed my tyre on the spot, charged a TINY £21 and I was able to get to my next visit on time. Should have been a straight forward MOT, car felt fine, drove well... Should... ABS pump was blown, thankfully with the help of the mechanics and staff a suitable replacement was sourced and fitted in 24hrs and didn't cost the small fortune Vauxhall wanted for a new one. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant throughout and I felt understanding toward my situation.

I paid for a master service and MOT, and as far as I can see, the oil was changed and the air and oil filters were changed. I was surprised not to be told there was screw in my front O/S tyre as it's been there for about 6 weeks. The door stays were not lubricated, even though it was supposed to be part of the service. The rear doors creaked as much as they did when it went in, and I've since lubricated the stays with WD40. I was surprised to see that they used .5 litre of screenwash, as I filled it to the max before I took it in, and when I checked it, it was about .5 litre short so I topped it up! I wasn't charged for that though. Lastly, and potentially more annoying, is that I was told by phone that the tracking was out of tolerance. When I asked how much it was out of tolerance, there was no definitive answer. Strangely, tracking isn't part of the service, and when I picked my car up, not having the tracking adjusted, there was no report from thje tracking equipment to support the out of alignment report from the tech on the phone. I recently had tyres fitted to our other car at F1 and there was a detailed pictorial report showing the mis-alignement, and I had that rectified as I had agreed to having the tracking checked. Overall I think the price paid was reasonable, but there were obviously several parts of the service that had not been carried out, even though the schedule says they were. If the tracking had been checked on the tracking machine, why wasn't there a report to confirm the settings? Is this a form of marketing to drum up further-maybe unnecessary- services and charges?

Really helpful team who sorted a simple issue with my lights within 30 minutes without having an appointment. Didn’t charge as it was a simple job which says a lot when garages can get a bad rep for inflating or creating things to charge for. Will definitely go back.

I had some reservations about using Formula One again after two lousy experiences at the hands of their Hedge End Branch, whose staff wouldn't know customer service if it bit them. Used these guys again for some Michelin All Season tyres, again excellent service, polite helpful and professional EXCELLENT Update 27/09/2021: Used again for an MoT, again efficient courteous and friendly, appointment time kept. I booked a MOT on the phone to be seen the next day. I found communication was really good on the phone and in person - a previous Soton garage was quite condescending - but Craig and his colleagues were brilliant. I needed repairs done and was given a reasonable estimate with the actual price coming in £50 below the quote. They were also done with it on the day, which was fantastic! It’s the first time I’ve ever had to book a MOT (this was the second mechanic I visited this week) and I’m honestly so relieved I found this garage. Everything was so easy and fast and I now have one less thing to worry about.

Bought a car recently and decided to get the wheel alignment looked at. Took it to an alignment place and they advised that I needed some other work doing on the suspension, that they couldn't do. Took it to F1 and asked for a quote based on the info I had given them, quote came back at £400, so I asked if they could take a look and offer a 2nd opinion, they did a full and free inspection and advised that I didn't actually need to get the work done, saving me £400! Maybe other garages would have just done the work (or not!) and taken the cash, but luckily for me the guys at F1 are a great bunch and a credit to the profession! Will always use F1 and would highly recommend them to anyone.

I simply had to come and review! I had taken my car previously to another garage and had gotten a verbal quote rounding the 500 to 600pound of a potential problem on the car. The information given was not clear and I was unsure about going forward with the repair no matter how urgent they had advised me it could be. Turns out I had to also fit new tyres to the car, so I booked the fitting online and decided that, if possible, I would request a second opinion when I had the tyres fitted. The process was fairly simple and straightforward since the booking to the actual tyre fitting. I was and still am extremely impressed with the service provided, more so with Formula One Autocenter Southampton Westquay who went above and beyond to make sure my car runs in perfect conditions. They provided the booked service in timely manner and advised me on maintenance and potential problems the car may present in the future. They kindly accepted my request of checking the car so that I could get a second opinion on the same problem and provided me with a documented quote 300pounds less than the first verbal quote I had – turns out the problem the other garage had told me about was completely different than the actual problem the car had! Everyone at Formula One Autocenter Southampton Westquay (and I am so sorry I didn’t get any of the names!!) was straightforward, professional and honest with me and I felt very safe in leaving my car in their hands, not only to have the change of tyres but to sort out the other problems of the car. So far the car has been running very well and I cannot thank you guys enough for the service provided. Will definitely recommend and use it again in the future!

Good price for the tyres. Was told it would take an hour (thought that was ambitious as it was 4 tyres) but it took 2 1/2hrs. A minor thing also is that the car had just been washed but when I picked it up, the alloys had lots of grease/chalk or whatever it is they use over the them. Fiat Punto Grande - The service was fabulous and would defiantly recommend. I went for an emergency drop in to the garage as my rear left light cluster had got a little confused (an earthing issue). The staff never found any problem with me visiting and welcomed me. They spoke directly to me about what the issue was, which gave me an understanding on how they planned to fix it. They willingly looked into the issue and it was soon resolved. Formula One Autocentres clearly works on building a close relationship with their customers and do this by being open and wanting to help. Due to their great service that afternoon I booked my MOT that week at the garage.

I felt that we both reached a conclusion in terms of what work needed to be done quickly. I highly value when people save my time. On holiday. Hot weather. Failed air con. Headache - no. Just call Formula One Southampton speak to Craig and your troubles are over. Our air con had developed a small leak in the condenser which in itself was hard to spot. Craig did advise that we look at getting a replacement condenser at our earliest convenience, which was a problem with us touring the South coast and moving every few days. He suggested a possible cure may be Stop Leak a sealant for air con systems - obviously with no guarantee, but an ideal possible solution in our circumstances. The whole staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and everybody went the extra mile for us. Customer service as it should be. Thanks team!

I have used F1 for tyres exhaust and tracking they want your business so you can have a deal with them and get the job done cheaper than other workshops of this type. However like all these places they will try and talk you into other work. I had a centre box renewed and they said the rear box joint was thin showing me .........I refused and 4 years later its still OK. You need to deal and get the best price DO NOT ACCEPT their first price stick it out they will come down, they prefer their mechanics working than paying them to sit around
