Recently purchased second hand Honda Jazz and the salesman James Wright was brilliant, I highly recommend this salesman who explained all options available and allowed me as much time as I needed to make my decision (Car Sales).
Few days later I had booked the car into Picadors repair department for a water wash filter clean and staff at reception were friendly and helpful.
There is an indoor area to sit and wait for your car.
They even had electric heating fan to keep customers warm.
The location has free hot drinks and a drinking water machine, magazines to read or TV to watch.
Disabled toilet available.

I bought a used car from Picador Vauxhall in July and it recently developed a very unusual fault.
I contacted their CEO who was very sympathetic and asked their Service Manager Ben to help me.
He delivered me an automatic MOKA to use and took my car away. He kept me fully advised and brought my car back after 3 days having sorted the problem to my complete satisfaction.

Managed to get my car to limp to Picadors after an electrical fault. By the time I got there the car was no longer driveable so I had no choice but to leave it there. They informed me that unfortunately the mechanic trained to look at my car wasn't in and wouldn't be until next week. All of their courtesy cars were booked out for the next few weeks but they managed to sort out a car for me to use over the Easter weekend so I could at least get home and pick my children up from nursery.
Everyone I dealt with were incredibly friendly and polite and they went above and beyond to help me out at short notice. Thank you!!!

I am a Citysprint keyworker. My van broke down( 140 miles away from home ) and i was desperate to get it fixed. Rang these amazing guys and they booked me without any appointment. It took them 2 hours to get it fixed and send me on the road again to deliver for the NHS. When asked how much it will cost, the answer " free of charge and thank you for your service" gave me goosebumps. Always a good experience with Picador. I brought my car from them in 2014. James the sales person who helped me through the process was always professional and patient. I have been a Picador customer for many years and the service has always been good. Last year I moved 20 miles outside the Picador area but, as a Service Plan Member, they offered to collect and return my car for/after its annual service. I accepted this offer and the car was collected early morning and, to my amazement, returned to me at lunchtime, service completed and a free valet thrown in!

Have been using Picador for 7 year's now. Faultless customer service, always giving a bit more than expected, be it refilling the screen wash when the car came in for something completely different, giving the car a wash when it came in for a service and offering a discount for loyalty. The quotes are always fair and on occasion the work has been done for less than the quoted price.

Then it all went pear shaped, paid for the work at 14-35. Said I would get my car, was told we'll bring it round to the forecourt for you. After 15 mins asked where my car car was? Was told someone had just gone to get it. Eventually it arrived on the forecourt at 15-16. 41 mins to get my car?
Next time I will definitely get it myself.

Purchased 2nd hand Suzuki and when we got it home it would not get into gears easy and not at all reverse. Was OK on test drive, so looks like one of those unlucky things. Now the reason for the 5 stars. After we called Picador they immediately sent someone round within an hour (on a Saturday), who left a brand new courtesy car and have taken the car back for repair. So can't fault how they reacted to a bad situation. Will write a new review once car fixed. but so far 5 stars for customer service and would 100% recommend.

Had a slight problem with my new cars air conditioning, they say you only find out how good a garage is when something goes wrong, well they were absolute saints, one of the Sales guys lent me his car for the day while mine was being fixed, when I collected my car they had washed and hoovered it at no cost. I had one hiccup as the result of my prepaid Annual Service /MOT recently, As the result of a diagnostic check, the mileage reading was advanced from 45,000+ miles to 73000+! The following action to put this right the next day, was efficiently dealt with despite the inconvenience of having to return the car to Chandlers Ford and the mileage reading was corrected together with the correction of the MOT certificate/ receipt which were also wrong. All completed within 15 minutes with apologies, which was fair enough. This the first problem I have had and, hopefully, normal efficient service will continue.

The Meriva itself is reliable so has not needed any care other than its service and MOT except minor things like broken wing mirror and light bulbs.

My Astra TwinTop was due for its annual service and MOT while we were away on holiday, so as we intended driving to the airport and parking the car this had to be done well before it was due at the end of the month.
Picador booked it in early for me and the service and MOT were carried out successfully and quickly, with absolute minimum inconvenience to myself and my wife on whom i relied for lifts home after dropping the car off and when it was ready for me to collect.
Everything done and what needed attention carried out, swiftly, properly and promptly - just as I always expect, and get, from Picador.. Why would I even think to go anywhere else?

I hate pressured and pushy sales environments and was so relieved when I came here as everything was laid back and they give you everything you need to know up front and help you find what you want if you're unsure... I felt like they really listened to what I wanted, rather than trying to push the latest or most expensive car and they did everything they could to scout out the perfect Astra for me and my needs. Unfortunately I decided to go for a different make of car, purely because I fell in love with the model of car I decided on, however Vauxhall have far better customer service and ethos and the finance would have been half the price and I have no doubt that the after sales would be fabulous! I felt supported, informed and welcomed, no matter what.
Even when I phoned to tell James I had decided to go for another car, he was nothing but kind and wished me well. If I had to buy a car based on Customer Service, it would be from Picador Vauxhall Southampton all day long. Don't hesitate to buy from these guys, they're brilliant.

I have been wary of dealerships having been overcharged and received poor service in the past, but when my wife decided to buy a new Corsa from Picador and I needed to replace my ageing troublesome Peugeot, I bit the bullet having found a nice looking Vectra.
I opted for the pre-paid Service plan, which works out no more costly over 3 years than I would pay at other repair places, and with this including a free MOT and also guaranteeing the use of manufacturers parts, this was too good to turn down.
Since I bought the car in January I have had to take it back to Picador 5 times with faults. Each time I have been treated like a respected customer, the problems have been fixed properly, and the costs have been almost certainly lower than I am used to paying with other repair shops in the past.
I will definitely be using Picador in the future. I can't fault them.

I learnt about the issue of Zarifa's having a potential fire risk so contacted Picador. They advised me to come in and they would sort the issue (this would involve replacing a resistor or other parts of the dash heater).
I booked in for the following week and when I arrived I left my car with them and returned about 1 1/2 hours later. They advised me that the car was safe but I would have to return on another as yet unspecified date as they did not have the part in stock. I asked why I had been asked to come in and was told that I now had peace of mind that the car was not at risk. Though I should not use the heater on any other setting than 4. I could not see what coming in actually did; I had read the advice already - now i will have to arrange to have the car in again. The only consolation was that they have offered to collect it from me the second time. I also felt they were a little bit odd with their logic about how good they were being to customers, it is certainly not the customers' fault that the part is faulty. I don't think this is a problem with the garage, who were responsive (though a tad defensive) but a more systematic problem with how Vauxhall have dealt with the whole issue there should be some compensation to customers who like me took time off work to have their error fixed, were not offered a replacement car or anything and feel Vauxhall ought to be doing a lot more to redeem themselves. A shame as previously I have liked Vauxhall,

Bought my new Mokka from Sholing in March 2013 with excellent service from James Dillon. Since owning the vehicle, I have had a few issues but these have been resolved by the Service Department and James has been extemely helpful in arranging temporary wheels whilst my car has been repaired.

hi I have recently purchased a Renault traffic 2017 van from picador Vauxhall, we dealt with a sales man called James Dillon and I must say he was superb, I missed one van that was on the web site but he came back to me within a day with another traffic van which is in A1 condition and extremely low mileage and at the same price. a really good salesman with no nonsense straight to point and knows what he is talking about with vans and cars I would not hesitate to deal with James again or the dealership at Southampton all of the personnel that work there are all very polite and help full and the service is brilliant .in fact we will be back soon to purchase a car even that it is a 140mile round trip thanks very much gary bunce

I have been running a Motability car, a Vauxhall Combo WAV for 3+ years. It has been regularly maintained by Picador in all that time and I have had no problems. They have always picked up and returned the vehicle promptly, and been cheerful and courteous too.
