I was needing to buy a car whilst I was abroad and spoke to Richard. He arranged everything for me quickly and with ease. When I called to collect the car all was prepared and ready I have known Richard Mitchell car sales for around thirty years. In my opinion he and his business are totally Trustworthy and reliable. Viewed a vehicle recently and straight away felt at ease, no pressure just a friendly relaxed viewing. I dealt with Richard who was a gent and we bought the car. On collecting the car Marie was so nice and Richard ran through all the car controls with me. I live 200 miles from the garage and detected a problem with the car that would not have been noticeable unless on a motorway for many miles but without hesitation Richard advised I took it to a garage and get the problem diagnosed. This was done and the repair was authorised straight away by Richard so his word is his bond which is so refreshing in any trade let alone the motor trade. Buy from them with confidence I certainly wouldn't hesitate on travel back there if ever I need another car.

Recently bought a Honda CRV from Richard Mitchell and I was very impressed with how efficient and eays the buying process was, particularly as I have not had great experiences with other used car dealers and I was a little nervous. I needn't have been - their professionalism and attention to detail was exemplary. The car developed a couple of little niggles which they dealt with without question and in the middle of a Covid crisis. Having found myself carless due to an untimely engine catastrophe I was not enjoying trying to find a car that I could afford and liked! After many hours on Autotrader I had decided I wanted to buy from a dealer so that I had some hope of come back if anything was wrong but every time I found an affordable car that I liked the look of, I checked out the dealers reviews and found myself looking away. I eventually found one but clearly after a bit of facebook stalking it became clear all the joyous "unverified sale" reviews on Autotrader had been written by the guys Mum! I was about to give up hope and buy a bicycle when I spotted a Citroen C2 at a local garage. I am not keen on C2's as I suspected I would have to fold the dog up to get him in the back but liked the idea of some cheap motoring for a whilst so was off over there for a look. I decided to check out Autotrader first to see if the price being asked was usual when I stumbled across Richard Mitchell car sales who had the same vehicle with a lower mileage at a lesser cost. I looked at his reviews and they were great and the fact he had traded at Park Gate for 27 years boosted my confidence. Also he offered a 6 month warranty on the car which made me realise he had faith in his vehicles so I made the call! We trundled off to Park Gate on the Friday morning and Richard himself was on the forecourt with a chamois in hand giving the little car a once over. It probably looked great by my eye went straight over his shoulder to the Honda CRV which was surprisingly within my price range. Knowing my Labrador would appreciate that boot far more than that of the Citroen C2 i was instantly taken with the car (I had come from a Discovery 3 so everyone thought I was bananas even considering such a tiny replacement) . Richard chuckled and set me off for a test drive in the CRV. He answered all my questions IE what colour do you call this and is there a drinks holder and my partners - what is the service history, has the alternator been tested, what are the terms of the warranty (boring stuff). Richards wife was a joy and explained what my payment options were, how I would go about transferring my personalised plates etc and so a deal was struck!. I was excited and though they had already mentioned what a busy weekend they had ahead kindly agreed to have the car ready for collection on the Saturday morning. On arrival the car shone and had had a real spruce up (won't look like that for long I am ashamed to admit) Richard went through every button with me showing me how everything worked and had even tuned the radio to my favourite channels. I was impressed with this as I have only ever been treating like this before when buying a brand new car. Secondhand dealers usually bung you the keys and wave you off. Richards wife sorted all the paper work and taxed the car on my behalf there and then and I have now had two weeks joyous motoring with the dog fully assembled at all times! In short I would highly recommend Richard Mitchell car sales to anyone looking to buy a secondhand car. The good reviews do speak for themselves and are certainly a true representation of the great customer service this couple give. Next time I am looking I will certainly be giving Richard a call.

I usually dread buying cars and dealing with salesmen, having to haggle and then hoping you haven't bought a lemon. Then I met Richard and Marie. For the first time ever, buying a car has been a pleasant experience. Needed something a bit bigger for family camping trips and Richard suggested a CRV, which they specialise in and that we even bring our camping gear with us to see if it fit in the boot. We did and it did and we are now proud CRV owners. It's a lovely car and Richard had it valeted, serviced, MOT'd and shining for us to pick up. Seriously can't praise these guys enough.
