Purchased a JCW Countryman from here this week - James, our salesman, was wonderful. The best car salesman we have come across - very polite and friendly, but not pushy at all. Wasn't trying to sell us loads of extras etc, although we did purchase a 3 year extended warranty. Gave us plenty of time to test drive, and we visited the car a second time and brought our dogs to test if they both fit in the boot comfortably.
The only downside is that on collection the car was still quite dirty. We had been told it had been valeted before collection, but there is still dirt on the back of seats, the sills haven't been wiped down and there was spiderwebs in the boot to name a few. Not James fault, but a big shame having spent so much money on a car.
EDIT: Andy from Sales called me back within an hour of posting this review and offered to re-valet the car for me free of charge! I now couldn't fault Lookers Mini and would recommend to anyone. Thanks Andy!

I would personally prefer to book my car in for any work directly with MINI Stoke instead of your call centre in Glasgow. I booked my car in for a service and MOT in March but when I arrived at the dealership there was no mention of the MOT on the job card. Luckily everything was done on the same day. The staff and work carried out at Stoke is very good.

Andy Cresswell was fantastic throughout ! Been driving over 36 years so purchased quite a few cars. This was the most enjoyable purchase for both myself and my husband; from initial enquiry and reserving; arranging a test drive a few days later en-route from Scotland to Kent; processing the finance for husband back in Scotland; showing me all the car’s features; negotiating the final deal; collecting it 4 days later with bonnet stripes & repaired alloy wheel Wow!
It also helps that I love, love, love my new Countryman. My first mini and don’t think it will be my last if this experience is anything to go by. Andy kindly helped me empty my car and set up my mobile before running through the sat nav, controls etc again with me as was px’ing an automatic VW so very different! With a full tank of fuel I was ready to continue on my next 200 miles home….despite the horrendous heavy rain I had a big smile on my face 😁

After having a shock that the engine on my mini had died, no blame on our part and Mini wasn't taking any responsibility, we were devastated, it only went in for a service. The experience put us right off getting another Mini...but realised that the only way to get anything for it was to get another from them. Jordan did a good job, handled the situation professionally and did what he could for us regarding part exchange. We saw a Mini we liked and were served by beautiful Ronnle ( weroniqua ) who was a pleasure to deal with. On inspection at collection of the car I noticed that it probably wasn't as polished as I thought it would be. However, I washed it the next day and it came up brilliant. There were a couple of blemishes, which would probably have been seen if it was polished properly. I've informed the dealer and will be taking it in as soon as my schedule allows. Having been saving up to purchase a Mini for over two years, I was really hoping my buying experience would be as exciting and smooth as I had anticipated. I’ve had my new MINI Cooper SD (5 dr) for almost a month now and I’m still smiling, not just about my car ( it’s so much fun !) but also about the outstanding customer service myself and my family experienced with Knights Mini Stoke.
You know how it is when you go to purchase a car and you drive off, you say to yourself ‘’well that it…they’ve had my money, it’s the end of the ‘Customer Service side then’’… Well Jack at Knights MINI did away with that from the get go. Nothing was too much for him, and that’s from the first call I made and spoke with him.
Things that stand out is his genuine nature and can do attitude. Communication wise I can’t fault him, he always called when he said he would. When I called in I received a call back promptly. I asked so many different things as I went through the ‘should I shouldn’t I’ stage and every time without fail he came back with the information. Most importantly Jack never once pressured me at all through the whole end to end process. He went above and beyond every time.
An example is with one of my many calls before deciding to going to Stoke (I live in Mersyside) I asked Jake if he could take a photo of the inside of the MINI I was considering, within an hour he’d gone out to the MINI and put together an informative video walk around outside and inside the car, which he promptly sent me to me via a link in an email to view it, now that’s how you do customer service well !
Jack did all the leg work in the background so that on the day I went with my wife and daughters to see the MINI it was ready to be driven away if I decided I wanted it. When we arrived at Knights MINI we were greeted by staff with a warm greeting and smiling faces, we were offered a drink of our choice with some biscuits even before anyone was aware I was potentially there at that time to drive away one of their MINI’s. This was another nice touch/experience because it was clear that even if I was just in there to browse, I would still have been treated just the same as someone going in there to part with money, so well done Knights MINI for exceptional customer service.
Even at this the final stage sat in the dealership with Jack I never felt the slighted pressure to buy the car.
The Brach Manager; James came out to say hi, a big smiling Scotsman with a good sense of humour, it was nice to see him walking around laughing with his staff and customers. In the back of my head I knew he must have targets but his demeanour, Jack’s, and that of other staff at Knights didn’t give rise to anything other than a really pleasant working environment.
It’s a month on and I still feel this is the best customer service experience I ever had when buying a car. Jack has called a couple of times now to check I’m happy with everything and to see if I need any further help with being a new owner.
I will be driving to Stoke for Serving and everything else because they’ve earned my custom and loyalty.

I never physically saw the car as I don't live locally, so I was sent a video of the car, which was in your showroom. I was told it had only 2 minor stone chips to the bonnet. However when i took delivery of the car it had a lot more chips and marks than i had been told. Also some damage to the front bumper had been repaired and painted. The screen is peppered with tiny chip from one side to the other. Its certainly had a tough few months since it was registered .And the passenger door and front N/S wheel were covered in overspray.It certainly hadn't been looked after as well as i had been led to believe. I do think now it was overpriced, a used car at list price. so i am disapointed overall.
A small good will gesture should have been offered, seeing as i have had to clean the car, and touch up all the chips and slight marks myself.

I would have purchased the Mini Cooper S, but the P/X amount offered for my car was an absolute joke - my car - Oct 29. 2017. Ford Fiesta. White. Titanium. 140ps. Cost £20,650. 17" Alloys. 5 Dr. Moon Roof £850. Reversing Camera. plus, every other extra possible, more than the Cooper, My car has only done 6,646 miles and unmarked. It is a superb car. The last 2 years, I have only used it for shopping twice a week, because I have to look after my wife 24/7 who is very ill. The first offer was £8200 then £9000. I think, that they think, it is a standard Fiesta. They obviously do not have a clue, regarding valuation of my car.

We bought our previous Mini from James Ashworth and were very pleased it was him that approached us as we viewed the demonstration vehicles towards our interest in changing to a newer Mini.
It is very refreshing to find a car sales person who is interested, knowledgeable, communicative, responsive, pleasant, professional but not over familiar.
We were, as before, extremely impressed with James' knowledge of the models, specifications and his empathy for our needs.
He had remember we would not be interested in a Service Plan as we had previously told him we like to "pay as we go" for such things.

The booking process was really poor. It took me 4 long phone calls. I gave the same information about the car more than once. I then received another call asking me questions I’d already answered and to be told my car would be in Friday not Thursday as I had booked and made arrangements for. I wasn’t asked if this was ok and wasn’t offered any apology. After using your garages before I’m really surprised and disappointed at the poor customer service.

I would like to give full credit to the Parts and Service Team for the way they handled with my complaint (which emanated from some confused communication). Their response and solution to my problem was swift and decisive which involved one of their technicians driving 12 miles to my home to sort it out on the drive. The Service Manager could not be any more apologetic and the issue was corrected free of charge and completely to my satisfaction. Good customers service from Marc Dovey at Mini from start to finish. I have bought three mini's from Knights over the years and and never had a problem with the service from start to finish. From the first moment I walked in Marc let me test drive his car immediately and recommended me the best options for purchasing it. The transaction was dealt with efficiently and I got emails frequently from Mini informing me at what point the car was being manufactured. Collection and handover was a quick and speedy process and four days after I collected the car, my son managed to get his school bag entangled in the boot causing it to get stuck. I took it to mini and they sorted it out immediately. Would recommend highly.

I waited for my vehicle to have its service and was able to see the mechanics at work, was confused why the bmw mechanics checked tyre depth and made sure the pressures were correct on the car they were doing but the guy doing the mini service only checked the tyre depth!also didn't see him check around the suspension inside the wheel arches as was done on the bmw next to the mini!otherwise after using this centre before still happy to return in the future.

Cool cars, 2 years ago you could get a good deals but now they seem to push PCP rather than HP. When you get to end of the PCP deal they are not interested in buying your car or offer a very poor px value, even when the stock a similar car for a at least £2-£3k more... Service department is brilliant, but don't buy brakes or tyres as you can get them a lot cheaper elsewhere...
