I recently bought a Mazda 3 though Johnsons I had a great experience all throughout! Jack was super helpful, allowing me to test drive a car and helped me source a cancelled order from out of town. Even when they were super busy they made time to speak to me about my car. I used Johnson’s Mazda Swindon to distance purchase an mx5 from Aberdeen. Who knew this would be as easy as it was, from start to finish Jack was spot on. Always in contact and sending pictures and videos of anything and everything I requested, always being honest and open about the car and pointing out things that they would (and did) rectify before I arrived. When arriving in Swindon I was offered a lift from my hotel to the dealer which is something I wasn’t expecting but very much appreciated! Overall a 10/10 service and would definitely recommend to anyone…..only negative, just wish they weren’t over 400 miles away!!!!

Having bought Mazda MX30 Prime-line a month ago, my family and I enjoy the supreme comfort of this Mazda as expected. Drive is quiet on the motorway and charging is easy. The suicide doors are interesting design although some people may not like the idea. However, we didn't find any problem with them. The sales manager and the receptionist from Johnson Swindon are friendly and helpful. Some say there will be a hybrid version of MX30 coming to the UK. Will it be more sporty than Mini? Mmmm... definitely we love the interior and the space of MX30!

Wow, what a completely different car buying experience. I had the pleasure of dealing with Jack Light who couldn't have been less of a "car salesman", which actually made him the perfect car salesman. No hard sell, just good solid product knowledge happy to chat through our requirements and couldn't have been more helpful. We went with the sole purpose to test drive a Mazda 3 with the intention to buy second hand either from them or elsewhere. Firstly, they listen, they take time to understand what you as the customer wants and they don’t try to sell you something that you don’t want or need. You’re in control. Not only do they listen, but they also then match you with the car you have asked for, or as near as they can and go to lengths to explain any mismatches. Reservation is simple, the test drive was relaxed and I was on my own without the pressure of a sales person tyring to make me buy buy buy. I was able to really inspect and get the feel for the car I was considering. Negotiation on trade in was simple and they matched what I wanted for my old car. Three days later, I was able to pick it up clean and ready with the extras I had ordered. Then, to off their amazing service, I lest with a full tank of fuel, totally unexpected and very much appreciated. I truly outstanding customer journey. Special mention to Jack Light who looked after my purchase and handover. Jack, you will go along way as you take the time to be consultative and understanding with your customers, helping them and not forcing them to make the right choice. We were particularly impressed by the salesman, Eddie Nellist, who looked after us throughout the whole process. He managed to source the car from another dealership in the group despite very specific requirements. When we turned up to view the car it had clearly been well prepared (in complete contrast to a different Mazda dealer in the Midlands, which hadn’t even finished taking the polish off the bonnet), and the car itself was in fantastic condition. There were a couple of minor cosmetic issues with the car, but Eddie was open with what could be resolved as part of the sale. We went ahead with the purchase, which again was smooth and painless, and on collection the work had all been completed to a high standard. Traveling from Yorkshire to Swindon one Friday my Mazda CX5 engine management light came on about 20 miles from my destination. I contacted Johnsons Mazda who, after some questions were answered, recommended I bring the car to them. They checked it and found the problem, which was actually under a Mazda recall. They offered to do the work but as I needed to return to Yorkshire the following day it was agreed I would get the work done when I got home as the problem was not one which stopped me using the car. They cleaned the sensor which triggered the issue and reset the fault light. They also did a comprehensive report of the issue for me and to pass onto the Mazda garage in Sheffield. There was no cost for this and I was very impressed by the courteous and professional way I was dealt with. If I had been staying longer I would very happily have had the work done by them. The BEST car dealership I have ever had the pleasure to do business with. I visited Johnsons to look at a Jeep Renegade. I was greeted by Jo on reception with a huge smile & a lovely welcoming "hello". I asked if I could just have a look around & I was told to help myself & just ask if I wanted any help. I was left alone to have a really good look at the Jeep Renegade, without being pounced on by someone as soon as I walked through the door. After about 15 minutes Richard (salesman) came over, in a very relaxed manner, to say that he was there if I wanted any help, I really appreciated his personable & relaxed approach. I felt so relaxed & able to look around without any pressure at all. When I was ready to ask the specific questions I had about the Jeep range, I spoke to Richard. I was so impressed that I booked a test drive. The test drive; again the welcome from the lady at reception was great. I was out on the test drive with Richard for well over an hour & my initial 'perception' of the 1.3 engine was soon dispelled, it felt like I was driving a car with at least a 2 litre engine. When I felt I had tested the Jeep Renegade on everything that was important to me & worked out what payment option I wanted to take, I put an order in. My Mazda CX5 After studying various cars that I fancied, including Honda, Land Rover, Volvo and Mercedes etc. Reading all about them and contacting many dealerships, I felt so sadly let down by a real lack of enthusiasm for selling me a car. Unbelievable you might say, but so true. Then I read about the Mazda CX5. Endless good reviews by most motoring magazines and all the things I wanted and needed in my next car. So I contacted my nearest dealer Johnsons Mazda in Swindon. Chalk and cheese comes to mind. Yes indeed, Julian was actually wanting to sell me a car and I felt suddenly valued as a prospective customer. I drove a CX5 and was utterly impressed, in fact it seemed much nicer than the Discovery Sport that I was trading in. So I ordered one there and then. Well 9 months down the line, and after many happy trips, I am pleased to say that I am still really happy with this quite amazing car. Normally, I would be a bit bored by now, but not this time. It handles quite superbly and the economy is quite unbelievable. I have averaged over 47mpg since I bought it, and on many occasions I have achieved well over 60mpg ( it just seems to be getting better ). This is just everyday driving keeping to the speed limits on all A & B roads, not feather footing it around either. Some other really good points are the superb multi- functional head up display, the quietness and comfort of the car over long distances, brilliant directional LED headlights, the sound quality in all respects be-it Music, Sat Nav directions or even the hands-free Phone. I use the cruise control a lot of the time and its impeccable. I helps me keep a safe distance from vehicles in front and brakes if I happen to get too close. I love the remote opening /closing of the boot, this is so helpful when shopping. I also get admiring looks and comments about the car frequently and the colour (Soul Red Crystal metallic) is quite unique. I have no hesitation in recommending this car to anyone.

Cost is competitive as the others and can ask them to match prices, they recently price matched MoT for me without problem. Haven't had a bad experience from servicing or MoT, unlike others I have had, i.e. would fail your MoT for extra work, etc. Harry at the service department is friendly and efficient. Always get a confirmation text and reminder on service/MoT, finish work on time and they ring me everytime when the car is ready to collect.

This is How Sales processes should be. Simply the engage of information between two parties, who will both potentially benefit in the ideal world. You don't go in the Mac Store to spend £2,000 on a computer and have a dim salesman ask you "When you are planning on buying this Mac?" You dont visit Omega to look at a watch for £5,000 and have the salesman ask you "What watch are you wearing now?" You don't visit a Bovis development on a £450,000 potential transaction and be asked if this is a "cash or business purchase?" before being seeing the show house. You don't visit Currys and have a salesman tell you "We are a business, we are here to sell electrical equipment, we are not an experience centre". When you visit a hotel spending £79 for a room, the receptionist who is paid next to nothing - will be fired if she does not smile correctly or enough to the customers. When you price up a Barbados Holiday in a travel agent, you never ONCE feel like the agent is wondering if you are going to buy that holiday or not, or that indeed by entering the agency you are somehow obliged to purchase something. It's for these reasons and a hundred more that I recommend Johnsons and my exprience there today in particular Ben. Who: Engaged information with me. The information I required. And didn't once say a stupid thing. Dealers would sell more units long term, by developing relationships with customers who may buy a car on day 1 or on the 7th visit. I am glad to say I feel welcome to go back and ask more questions... and in sales speak THAT is BUYING SIGNAL!
