I've been a regular customer of Halliwell Jones for a number of years; I decided that it was time to replace my 7 Series. I contacted the Halliwell Jones and Craig Hudson returned my call. I have to say the service and buying experience was outstanding. He took me through the new 7 Series and M760Li in great detail. Craig even managed to arrange for me to see an M760Li before I placed my order. From placing the order to taking delivery of the car I was kept informed all the way through the process.
It was truly a pleasure to deal with Craig; he is an outstanding representative of both BMW and Halliwell Jones.

From start to finish, my car buying experience with Halliwell Jones has been very good. I used their online chat system one evening and was called the following morning - very slick. They beat a similar quote from a local BMW dealership to me by far and also were good to deal with on the phone and email, so it wasn't an issue that I lived 200 miles from the dealership.
I dealt with Mark Wilson throughout the process. He made some suggestions, such as the type of alloys I went for and he was totally right about what looked best. My only issue was around paying the deposit and what payment methods they would accept, which could have been made clearer at the outset. Overall though I absolutely love my new 140i, and have been impressed with the service and also am happy that Mark has been in touch since selling me the car to see how I'm getting on with it.

After my issues with my car the staff made the daunting visit really pleasant. Right from enquiring about repairs to booking in was easy. The loan process was so easy too and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of car they loaned to me... I actually didn't want to return it. The service desk was easy to find and although it was busy they had plenty of cars to look at to pass the few minutes it took while they sorted the customer before me. They kept in touch with when my car will be ready and the updates about how and what is happening with my car kept me well informed. My repair was finished as they said and I was left wholly satisfied with the professional manner which was presented to me from start to finish. Every member of staff I dealt with answered all my questions and their knowledge was second to none. I'm struggling to find a fault really and if I was to find anything then it can only be that the brew machine was 20p. 🤣.

I took a vehicle from another dealer for a test drive, was so impressed that I was prepared to put pen to paper, however the deal fell through. Both parties could not agree on a price. I decided to shop around, I spoke to three different sales people via telephone. I gave the spec to all three sales people for what I wanted, I said whoever gave me the best deal would more than likely get the business. When I got all the quotes in and compared notes, I still thought I could get an even better deal. When I got in touch with all three sales people I said was that the best we can do they all more a less said yes. I said to all concerned no thanks, but thanks for your time. During the next few days, after some careful thinking I decided to have one last throw of the dice. I phoned this dealer and was put through to a salesman, he was very polite and listened to what spec I was looking for. He then asked me what was your best offer that you was given, I told him. The salesman replied to me if I could better the deal and give you everything you've asked for could we do a deal today, I said yes providing I was getting everything I asked for in writing and confirmed. Let's just say the deal was done and another thing that impressed me about this salesman, we had only spoken briefly over the phone and yet a deal was done. I would just like to say a big thank you to Mathew Turner, the salesman. PS I would just like to say the previous sales people I spoke to, were from Wilmslow, Stoke-on-Trent and Huddersfield. Took delivery of my 2 series active tourer yesterday, wanted to say this was the best car buying experience I have ever had, Sales Executive David Bevan was really helpful in making sure the car was right for our needs and throughout the whole process was never pushing for a sale which was a refreshing change, he made sure everything was taken care of and when collecting the car it had been prepared to a very high standard, the car is just over 4 years old but looks and feels like it has just been picked up for the first time. I recently bought a second hand Mini which I test drove before it had been pre-inspected by them. The car had a few issues that they said they would resolve before I could have it. The parts were not available via GE but I was happy to wait as this was a limited edition car. The parts took longer than originally expected and I had planned on using the car for a week away, Niel Douglas arrange for me to take one of their experience cars in lieu. When I received the car I had an issue with one of the run flats. When I contacted them they arrange for me to take it in the next day, prior to getting there a warning sensor popped up on the dash. When I arrived I spoke Andrew who arrange with the Service Manager to inspect the tyre and also get the car on the Analyser. The Service Manager arrange both to be repaired and gave me an estimated time to completion, I was kept informed by both of them throughout the day. The fault was not ideal but I accept that these things can happen. My overall experience from Sales through to Repair was Very Good. I have noted previous comment from Customers but can only say that I was well informed and the service was 8/10. I will have no hesitation in going back or recommending them to friends.

David F. managed to get the car fixed and ready to collect in a matter of hours. He was very polite and courteous to me and my partner who went to collect the car.

Very mixed service overall but happy with the car. I initially enquired online about a used vehicle and was contacted by the General Sales Manager (Sam) who was very helpful. After some negotiation we agreed a deposit and monthly payment and arranged a suitable time for me to test drive and collect the car if I was happy with it. When I arrived the car had been fully valeted and looked superb, I was happy and we proceeded to complete the sale and part-ex my VW. This is where things started to go wrong.
My finance settlement figure from VW was approximately £250 short (as I had made another monthly payment since the final figure was produced online). I agreed with Sam to pay an additional £250 deposit on top of what we'd already agreed for the vehicle and wait for the excess payment to be refunded by VW. Not too much of a problem but this left me £250 out of pocket initially. Fair enough and I was happy to proceed nonetheless.
It then took approximately 4 hours of waiting to complete the finance and ultimately handover the keys. I can understand they are short staffed at the moment and rely on other offices to get things moving but I wasn't offered even a drink once during this period. Again, I can understand due to current social distancing measures so was happy to let this slide. We completed the sale and off I went.
A couple of weeks later I discover than another payment has been taken from my account from my previous agreement (part-ex) with Volkswagen Financial Services. I was assured this was cleared by Halliwell Jones when taking the keys to my BMW, so I dropped them an email to find out what happened.
Apparently VWFS received a payment of £8,800 (around £4,000 short of the actual settlement figure) for my previous vehicle. I immediately contacted Halliwell Jones who have absolutely no record of this payment being made and advised me to look into it from my side. I certainly haven't paid £8,800 of my own money to VWFS so it remains to be discovered where this money has come from.
It turns out that Halliwell Jones never actually settled the agreement with VWFS due to an 'admin error' and I still had the outstanding balance left to pay. Sam got in touch and apologised, escalated it to the Finance Manager who thankfully arranged for the payment to be made immediately. This left me £250 out of pocket once again (effectively now £500 total). Sam kindly picked up the phone and agreed to make a one-off payment to my account to ensure I wasn't at a loss and we agreed the figure of £250 on the call. A few hours later I receive a payment of £205 from Halliwell Jones, so I dropped Sam an email to find out why. His response was 'it is whatever your monthly payment was with VWFS'.
I appreciate the gesture but what's the point in lying about the amount of money to be transferred?
All-in-all I am happy with the vehicle and am glad the issues have been sorted, but it was a pretty poor customer journey overall. The staff I encountered were friendly but if you're expecting a premium experience for the amount of money you're paying for your lovely new BMW then I think you'll leave a little disappointed. I look forward to finding out where the partial payment of £8,800 to VW came from.

I dealt with Mark who led me through the process. I am very wary of dealing with people I do not know. I work on the basis that I am suspicious unless proven otherwise.
I had never bought a car from someone I did not know ....and I bought it unseen! I can’t believe I did that ! It has been proven to me that Mark and Halliwell Jones are reliable and can be trusted. Mark is a busy (and obviously a successful) salesman , but not too busy to deal with a fussy buyer like me.
Mine was not a huge deal but he spent time to make sure I was satisfied and I thank him for that.

Certainly the best BMW dealer I've dealt with locally. That said some of the others really leave a lot to be desired. This dealership is happy to haggle over the phone and allow you to turn up, with a refundable deposit in place and check out the car then decide to buy or not. That is extremely helpful, and makes life much easier knowing you're going into a deal knowing the final price etc. Sales staff are generally excellent.

I recently bought a new 118i from BMW HJ Warrington and the whole experience has been brilliant.
It was the first time i had bought a new car so i was a little nervous.
The Salesman Mark Wilson made things very easy for me, he was very honest from the start, I know he got me the best deal he could and you can tell he really cares about making the customer feel happy before they agree to anything.

Not the experience I was hoping for when buying a BMW!!! Was going quite well dealing with the salesman. However every trick in the book was used to squeeze as much money out of me as possible. For example:- I'll have to ask the sales manager, the payments have gone up since the original quote. Do you want to put a deposit on the car before you come to look at it, do you want to put a deposit on the car while you think about it. Do you want to put a deposit on the car before you test drive it. We are a very busy garage and you will likely miss the car if you don't... Yawn.... In hindsight I should have just walked away at this point. I had been led to believe certain things would be done for me before I collected the car. Then that was no longer possible after I had signed for the vehicle. So I ask for part of what I was led to believe again they said that there was no way they can authorise it. I expect it would have cost them about £10 if that!! I know this is what 99% or car salesmen do. I had just expected more from BMW and Halliwell Jones being prestige brands. This experience spoiled the experience of purchasing my new car. I started to wish I had kept hold of my existing car. I was originally only going to leave 2 stars, but after recently visiting the service department. They seemed very helpful.

Went the other month for new tyres. Excellent service from start to finish, let me know what was going on while I waited (good coffee and biscuits). They even told me about a security update that was needed on the car, I knew nothing about it would have thought BMW HQ should have sent me a letter, they sorted me out with that too. Car was clean and tidy afterwards not expecting that. Felt good when leaving, not something that happens after buying 4 new tyres, and they were only £1 more than on-line.

We went to look at a BMW X6M50d on Saturday and drove away in it the following Wednesday.
Our Salesman (Mark Wilson) ensured that the transaction went well and everything from taking the private reg from our old car to small bits of bodywork on the new car were taken care of smoothly and efficiently.

I am so pleased to have taken delivery of my beautiful car today, the process overseen by Simon Baynes and the team of experts at Halliwell Jones Warrington. Based on my recent experience, I can confidently state that these guys will pull out all the stops when the going gets tough, with customer care being paramount. Well, that, plus their genuine passion and pride in every BMW they sell. With service of this standard and a selection of top-deal cars at HJ BMW Warrington has, I cannot find a reason why I should not recommend this dealership. Even the hot chocolate in their café bar (complimentary) tastes luxurious compared to another BMW Dealership in the northwest whose name I won't mention. The concept of different BMW fifedoms was news to me. As far as I am concerned, HJ BMW Warrington simply represent BMW and don't see an external BMW problem as something to be avoided, but rather it takes responsibility in addressing the situation - as BMW.
