Again, I have had the pleasure of being served by Rob who assisted me in the purchase of a brand new Yaris Cross. An absolutely amazing car with absolutely amazing service. I don't think we will ever switch from Toyota as we have always had good custom, advice and service. It has been just over a month with my new car and the amount of fuel I have saved from an Aygo to a Yaris Cross is quite something. Hybrids are pretty good and for a 1.5L engine, I find it more responsive and a quicker pull-off than my Mother's C-HR.

Following experiences elsewhere, dealing with Lisa at Yeomam's Toyota Worthing was something of a revelation. This is how a sale should be. Adequate time taken to patiently answer and explain issues raised.
Once my car arrived, at the early end of the delivery window, I was taken through it's features before hitting the road. The only slight glitch, connecting my Android phone to the 'infotainment' system (slightly different from my previous car) led to a quick phone call and a brief visit the following day to sort the issue in a timely manner.
Lisa's manner was both pleasant and highly professional and I have no hesitation in recommending both her and the Yeoman's dealership.

Modern, clean facilities with a comfortable Toyota Lounge area where you can wait and see your car being worked on. Friendly and helpful staff. Out looking for a used car I booked a test drive at Yeomans. I was surprised that parking was so difficult ... No spaces left for customers and cars parked bumper to bumper outside Yeomans area too. My friend took me and she is disabled. The disabled space is outside the front entrance but to access it is a nightmare. Once you get in there is no turning space to easily get out. You'll have to back up your car 25m around others arriving into the same space. It feels too small a space for such size of dealer. For me it lacked professionalism. Front desk was casual about our arrival, the waiting area was crammed full, and staff desks cluttered and seemingly on top of each other. Whilst helpful, I never felt it was business like. Bigger premises are needed I think, and higher customer service standards to match good quality cars. Tidy up! File away! Clean desks.

Having imported my GTS86 from Australia, I was looking for a good dealership here to cater for all my servicing, and other work, needs. My dealership in Aus was top notch and fantastic to deal with. Having a dealership that will treat my car as well I do, and that I can trust to do the work needed, is incredibly important to me. I was really hoping for a similar experience to that I had in Aus.
My first impression of a dealership is how they treat a potential customer on that first point of contact. Unfortunately this is where Yeomans Toyota has fallen down.
I read through the reviews here to get an idea of what to expect. There appears to be a lot of people that either love or hate the experience they have had. Looking a little deeper, it appears that there is better feedback on the sales side than the aftersales and servicing.
This was worrying for me.
Last year I had called Yeomans to discuss registering my car with them (after the import process had been completed), and to get a new battery fitted as a problem with under-capacity batteries fitted as standard to these cars is a known problem. I called them, and, after being on hold for a while, was informed that I would be called back. A phone call I never received. So I purchased a battery and fitted it myself.
Anyway, that was last year, it’s now 2019 and it might just have been a one off.
I now need to get my car serviced, and also to have a few other jobs carried out. To this end I decided to give Yeomans the benefit of the doubt, and I called them yesterday, early-to-mid afternoon. The gentleman that answered the telephone spoke so quickly in the greeting that I had to ask them to repeat what they had said to make sure I had called the correct number, I didn’t understand a single word of what he had said. I asked to book in for a service, and again I was on hold for a little while until the gentleman informed me that the telephone lines to the service department were all busy so I would be telephoned back. This started to sound familiar, so I asked how long it would take. I was told that as there were some customers in front of me that it would be 10 to 15 minutes. I said that would be great and gave my name and telephone number.
Anyway, no telephone call was forthcoming. The clock ticked by and after it reached 17:00 I decided that enough was enough and that I would look for a dealership elsewhere. My business obviously was not valuable enough to them.
I am more than happy to drive as far as I need to in order to find a good dealership. It is such a pity that, despite all the negative feedback left by other current, and potential customers, and promises of how the feedback will be passed on to Yeomans management, nothing appears to be changing.
I would love to be proved wrong on this, so please Yeomans, prove me wrong. I am going to visit another dealership today to see what they are like. Happy to leave booking in my car for 24 hrs if I can be convinced that Yeomans is as good as it says it is.
EDIT: Thank you for your prompt reply to me. I have successfully booked my car in for Monday with Michelle, who was extremely helpful and a delight to speak to. Fingers crossed :)
EDIT Again: I had my service today and I must say I couldn’t be happier with the attentive and very efficient service I received from every employee I encountered there, and especially from the service desk personnel. Thank you for giving me the confidence in a local dealership that I can trust to look after my car. I spend a lot of money on it and try to treat it as such and I am very happy to have found a company that shares that view and compares favourably with the great standard my Australian dealership set.
I especially liked the video update on the safety inspection. A really nice touch.
I have updated my star rating accordingly.

This is a little overdue but anyway. I went to look at changing my car and unfortunately the first person I spoke to there was very unhelpful and never contacted me back like he said he would. However when I went to get my car serviced back in July. I spoke to Alex and between him and Robin I ended up getting the lovely purple aygo. I only went in for a service for my Mother’s Auris and I got looking at some of the Aygos (specifically the bi-tone Magenta Fizz colour, so snazzy). Cut a long story short, I came back the next day and started the process! My Mother will only deal with one person in sales and that’s Rob G. I have seen how helpful and supportive he is towards her, and has been for at least 4-5 years. This is the customer service that you want. I have had bad dealings with another company previously, but coming here to Toyota is a breath of fresh air, especially the buying process.
In regards to Yeomans, Toyota - it’s an easily accessible building with spaces available outside the complex within 20m. It has a fab self-service refreshment station, a good display of cars, it’s beautifully clean and tidy and is light and airy. The little things like the ‘Toyota Loves’ car sponges and drinks really add to the experience.
In regards to Rob G - he’s a very helpful and understanding person when it comes to cars and customer service. At no point have I ever felt unsure or confused as Rob explained everything about everything. He’s even helped show me how to use the car (I have no idea...) so I don’t break it when I first drive off. I must congratulate him as well for managing to put up with my Mother and I. She always leaves with a smile on her face. You know you’ve done good when she’s left smiling. He has the patience of a Saint, I must say! 10 out of 10 for Rob.
I need to mention that Toyota are now my no.1 choice as it is within the family. My family have a tendency to destroy things magnificently and if a Toyota can survive that then I am sure it’s well worth buying...
