Would highly recommend Gerald Mclnerney. Gerald made the process of part exchanging my car incredibly simple (from 150 miles away), and not once did I feel any pressure to proceed with the deal. When it came to car collection, the process was very straight forward, and unlike previous experiences I have had, everything was explained well and I had full trust in the seller. My new Nissan Qashqai is fantastic and I have had no issues at all. I'm sure I will go back to Gerald in future despite the distance, as I value top quality service. I've been waiting a year to review this garage since i had a 12 month warranty. And now yes I can say its all been good. I thought it would be expensive, since it was a dealer, but I bought a car here and got it for a fair price. And it had a 12 month warranty. Service and repair has been great too. Whenever I have brought it back they have sorted it out quickly and with no quibbles. Not quite perfect but 99% and that gets five stars from me, well done guys.

Olivia, sorry no surname, but this girl is exceptional !!. This young lady answered my phonecall and she was so helpfull from the start. She asked me to call in and she would try to help rectify my satnav. With a smile she did this, and also without me asking her she had noticed a tyre needed air, she did this too. All with no charge. This is a perfect example of " going that extra mile " in customer service. A credit to the company. Thankyou Olivia.

First class service! Had a screw in a tyre and couldn't find the wheelnut key. Rang alexanders at 9 and arranged to call and see what they could do. A chap from service dept arrived with a case of wheelnut keys and found one that fitted. I fully expected to be told they would order one and it would be available in a couple of days. Instead I was told I could keep the one he had and they would keep the new one when it came in. I was at home again within an hour of my first phone call with a key! Brilliant !

I bought a 2019 Qashqai here from Sales Exec' Gerald more or less on the spur of the moment after realising how much it would cost to bring my old Qashqai (which had done 119,000 miles with very little trouble) up to MOT standard. Despite the mandatory but un-necessary & anti-social perspex screens and masks for Covid (not Alexander's fault) I found the whole experience very professional, relaxed, efficient and not in the least bit pushy. Top marks to Gerald - and it's even a great car too.

I have to write a review from my experience from today alone. From arrival we were made to feel welcome, even though they were short staffed. Tom was brilliant, very honest and did everything to get the price for my new car as cheap as possible. I know not many dealers would do that. He didn’t pressure us into a sale, just went through all we wanted to know and it was enough to get a sale. All elements of the vehicle service were explained to me, and all costs were also explained. Well i have just purchased a Nissan Juke from Alexander Nissan Garage the Sales Man was called Andy very nice quietly spoken man made the purchase of the car very pleasant for me there was a couple of small issues that's why i have not given 5 star but Andy dealt with them in a good fast way. I have not had to deal with any after care yet as only had the car 3 days so i hope that if i do have any problem's they will be as pleasant as i can see by some reviews that some people had problems so fingers crossed. But i would like to Thank Andy for his nice relaxed nature that was far better than hard car sales :-)

The car was cleaned outside but not inside as I was told it would be. A little disappointed as my pain levels are high at the moment so not able to do it myself. The staff are lovely though. I think a bit more heating inside would be better as I was freezing for 2 hours. Also, I was using the toilet there and a customer unlocked it from the outside and opened the door while I was in there.

Now on our fourth car from Alexanders (Juke, Micra, 2012 Qashqai, 2016 Qashqai). Every transaction has been excellent. Servicing has also been without fault. A very friendly garage to deal with. Guess what our next car will be in a few years?

On 20 Mar a tyre on my Nissan car had a puncture close to Alexanders York. I asked for their help in locating the nearest tyre outlets. Instead the eng staff agreed to fit a new tyre at their premises as they cosindered it was unsafe to drive to tyre outlet. Brilliant service at reasonable cost.

Up until a year ago I had never even driven a Nissan. It wasn't a brand I felt drawn towards, however after seeing the What Car review for the Qashqai, I felt I at least needed to take a test drive. My love affair for the car started quite quickly once I had driven one. Alexanders have to take massive credit for how they handle the sale of their vehicles. We were allowed to take a car out on our own, no salesman coming along trying to pitch to us. We were guided towards taking the car out for half an hour or so, we struggled to come back on time as the car was that good. We were never placed under any pressure to buy and we explained that a month or so later we would be looking to make a purchase. A year ago now, we purchased our car and the experience has been nothing short of fantastic. Lastly we arrive at the moment I never enjoy, taking the car for a service. I have had many poor experiences over the years with service departments. I am pleased to say the service and after sales were way beyond my expectations. Clear indictations were given as to the condition of the car, they even video any work that is required and send an email. The technician introduces himself which is a nice touch. The car required no work to be undertaken, and this video process gives me confidence that only essential work will be carried out. The one final thing that really impressed was the fact I asked for the tyres to be rotated, now in all my years as a motorist, I have never had a mechanic or tyre fitter inflate my tyres correctly, so it came as a very pleasant surprise to find that whilst swapping tyres over, they had deflated the front tyres (now rear) and inflated the rear tyres (now front) to the correct tyre pressures. That shows the level of attention to detail. I highly recommend Alexanders Nissan York.
