I was very unsure about how to buy a car during COVID let alone one that is 4 hours from where I live. I had nothing to worry about. The team at Autopoint have been friendly and understanding of the challenges around buying during lockdown. Answered all my questions (of which there was many!) and extremely honest. Some faults highlighted prior to collection (which they could have easily kept to themselves) were rectified and then delivery to me was arranged at no extra cost. Would have no issues buying from them again or buying during COVID situation.

I purchased a car but unable to test drive due to COVID restrictions so l took a gamble. After the purchase my son who is in the motor trade took the car to his place of work and had a good look around the vehicle, he found a few things that needed repairing which l passed onto Steve. Within a couple of days Steve sent me a message to book the car into a local garage for the works to be done, all the repairs were carried out with no problems. Having searched York for a suitable car at a reasonable price I recently found a lovely Corsa at Autopoint. After a test drive, I put down a deposit and arranged to collect it a few days later, after a new MOT had been issued with any advisors dealt with. The car had also been serviced, had new tyres fitted and a tiny scratch touched up! In all honestly, having read a few recent, negative reviews about Autopoint (after I’d paid my deposit!) I had a few stressful day’s worrying about this car deal! So much so that on collection, I took it to an independent garage to be checked over. The result is the car is in good condition, everything is as it should be and I am delighted with my new car. I also want to say thanks to Steven who was a friendly, non-pushy and very helpful salesman throughout the process.

Both Brad and Geoff were very helpful when I turned up on spec to view a Mini Cooper D with no pre-booked appointment. I was unaware Sundays are usually appointment only, however Geoff was more than helpful in moving all the cars around so I could test drive the car I was interested in. It was all very professional yet relaxed, no pushy salesmen here! When I returned the week after to pay the balance and collect my car, it had a full service & valet and MOT for a full year which is excellent. Brad was very helpful and sorted my new tax out for me while in the office. Bought a Subaru Outback a couple of months ago and was very pleased with the car. A very good service talking me through the car and sorting any issues that needed dealing with despite me being in the Outer Hebrides and them in York. Delivered for a very good price and although being slightly concerned with buying a car over the internet / phone it has worked out well. Aidan is a good sales man but also polite and offers a professional service. I did have one small issue with an air intake pipe splitting which the local garage managed to sort and Autopoint paid for promptly without any problem. Thanks for the motor Aidan

We purchased our little Citroen DS3 Cabrio from Autopoint just before Christmas, and we couldn’t be happier. Steve who dealt with our purchase was friendly, helpful and not in the slightest bit pushy. Lovely chap. They pulled out the stops to get the car checked and MOTd so it could be delivered to us between Christmas and New Year. We later had it independently checked and found they had fitted new disks and pads all around, nearly an entire new exhaust system, and a front wishbone. Pretty much everything that could have been a concern with a car that age. We were blown away. We wouldn’t hesitate to visit them again when we’re next in the market for new wheels. Bought a C3 a few weeks ago from Autopoint York. Connor the new manager there was absolutely brilliant. Gave me a great deal on my part ex and super happy with my new car. After a week driving the car the car was struggling with charge. I rang Connor and they fitted me in at the garage the next day. Turns out I'd flooded the battery with water after driving through a few large puddles. They replaced the battery for free and sent me on my way. So happy with the service.

Very pleased with our new purchase of a Freelander 2 . The staff were all friendly and professional and gave you confidence in buying a vehicle from them. All details given were clear and informative. Brad kept us updated with info on when the car would be ready and the work that was completed. I purchased a top of the range Range Rover from Autopoint York . I initially purchased the vehicle from an advert of Auto Trader purchasing the car by phone leaving a deposit to hold the vehicle . I drove from Newcastle upon Tyne to York where I met the salesman Brad who was outstanding in the service he provided me. Upon seeing the car it was better than described it is immaculate , Autopoint York serviced the vehicle prior to sale and in doing so had replaced all the brake discs and brake pads this was excellent and provided further confidence that the vehicle had been thoroughly checked and services prior to sale. The 200 mile round trip was worth every mile in dealing with Brad , I can not recommend enough and if and when I ever look for another car in the future I will phone Brad first . It’s a long story, but it took me a while to find the right car and the trip down to York was well worth the drive. The pre purchase texting/emailing was really straight forward and Brad was always very quick to respond to the many questions I had. The photos of the service book were ideal and allowed me to track down and speak with the Land Rover Specialist. They confirmed one owner and an impeccable SH. We arrived mid-afternoon and all checked out and drove away an hour later after the test drive and paperwork was completed. We had the pleasure of dealing with the guy's from Autopoint York for a car for my wife, initially all contact was via telephone. Then finally we met up for the handover of the vehicle, and apart from a couple of minor things that were very quickly sorted out without any hesitation. The deal was concluded and we drove the car home all 300mls of the way, without any problems at all. I agreed to buy a Volvo V70 estate car from Autopoint, subject to engineer's inspection. Unfortunately the inspection conclusions were adverse and so I did not proceed with the purchase. Autopoint accepted that it is better not to go forward than to have me return the car later on for warranty work. My deposit was returned to me promptly and without rancour and I am grateful for that. If only the car has been as good! I will approach Autopoint again if they have something suitable in stock.
