It was a lovely experience buying our first family car with Batchelors of York Suzuki. We didn’t have an appointment and just walked in after seeing the cars online. We had a great time viewing the cars and was offered a test drive. Nathan was really friendly and walked us through everything clearly. He also gave us some advice about car insurance which was very helpful! Would definitely recommend :)

I visited York and spoke with James who told me everything I needed to know and did not apply any pressure what so ever! I bought the car late Saturday afternoon and drove away with it on Monday. A great experience buying our Volvo V90 . AJ was great showing us all the different models they had in as we were unsure what we actually wanted. We test drove a couple of cars and went away. Nathan Carpenter was fab, extremely knowledgeable. Listened to what I wanted in a car and showed me several cars based on what I needed. Nothing was too much trouble, even bringing up a car so I could gauge if the size was right for me, as it wasn’t on forecourt. Genuinely was a great service from start to finish. Very friendly. Great service! I recently bought a new (pre-registered) Suzuki swift at the Batchelors of York Suzuki branch. James showed me all the features of the new car and was very professional. We dropped upon Batchelors Suzuki at York having arrived at the chinese restaurant opposite too early so decided to have a look around their cars to kill time. We weren't approached by anyone at this point as we browsed the stock. The Vitara model was the one we preferred and after our meal we popped back across for another look. At this point James came to introduce himself and after discussing our liking of the Vitara we arranged a test drive the following day which took in the A roads out to Wetherby returning through the villages back to York. James then searched through their extensive stock at both York and Ripon to find us the car, specification and colour that we wanted to which we added some extras. We only waited a week for the parts to come from Germany and to be fitted before collecting the car. James was very professional throughout and a pleasure to do business with. I was in the market to sell my 2015 Mini Cooper S, so posted this on the owners group on Facebook. Got a message from Alex Denton, looked up his profile and see that he is the Used Car Manager at a Suzuki dealership, I mention to him I just happen to be looking at buying a pre-hybrid swift sport. Alex sent me a link to the perfect car for me. Low mileage December 2019 in Suzuki Speedy Blue. Alex put me in touch with Mark Gaines, who sent me a video of the car and did the eventual handover. It was a bit of a journey for me coming from Swansea to collect the car in York, but it was so worth it. Both Alex and Mark were great and the deal was done in under a week and all basically over Facebook messenger and then obviously face to face when I collected the new car and said goodbye to my Mini. The distance might be prohibitive in repeat business for me, but I can definitely highly recommend this dealership and it's staff. Everything was easy, there was no pressure, and both Alex and Mark were incredibly helpful in getting the deal done.

Originally discovered the car through the Suzuki site, which linked through to the dealership in York where salesman Nathan Carpenter followed up directly with a comprehensive video of the interior and exterior. I don’t know how much you pay Nathan Carpenter,but it’s not enough. Having been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019 I realised I would have to lose my beautiful V40 Volvo because it was becoming harder to get in and out .I needed something higher. When you start looking you quickly realise that higher means bigger,Xc40, T roc. T cross Arona all the Skoda variants, in my eyes too large (having driven a fire engine for 20 years I was used to the size,I just didn’t want it). Then came Ignis . First suggested by my son in law, after watching all the on line reviews I was intrigued,how could it be so small outside but so large inside, tardis, Harry Potter perhaps ? We should have a look at one. We found Batchelors Suzuki nestling between the Chinese and the Wetherby Whaler, handy that and started our search. On entering the pleasantly warm showroom we found a glistening white Ignis and started to look. I was so pleased not to be pounced on, after a long look we found Nathan who proffered coffee and biscuits. His warm friendly open manner was pleasing as we told him what we were looking for, then I decided to buy my. First ever brand new car. Nathan shepherded us through the whole process with professionalism and skill,his technical knowledge was excellent apart from not knowing what a Daimler was but I think that is an age thing. Our new car came on Wednesday and has been a revelation,obviously not a Volvo but a lot easier to get in and out of. I would like to share the experience I received from Nathan Carpenter who works for Batchelors Suzuki York. The car was purchased over the telephone from Dundee, Scotland and we drove the 4/5 hrs drive to a lovely Hotel booked and paid for by the garage. We also appreciated Batchelors inspecting (prepping) our purchased vehicle prior to collection as they rectified and replaced any components deemed necessary to ensure trouble free driving for a further 12 Months along with a 12 month MOT. Great service from James Healey in the showroom. We had test drives in the Swift and Ignis and decided to buy the Swift. The deal was done very quickly and we got a fantastic valuation for our part exchange. We paid the balance and he ordered the car from the factory. He assured us that the Px valuation was firm even though it would be a few weeks before the new car would be available. The car arrived as scheduled and the handover was seamless. Unlike other dealers (who seem to have endless paperwork to complete) there was very little admin required. He explained all the features of the new car and answered our questions taking his time to ensure that everything was fine. Thanks James. We are very happy with our new car!

I phoned up to enquire about a Swift at the cheaper end of the market, it being my first car, originally to have it delivered up to Scotland. The delivery charge being too expensive for me, Mark arranged a deal for me to travel down to York to pick it up. Ordinarily I wouldn't buy a car without first seeing it, but going by the reviews on here and Mark's manner over the phone I felt I was in good hands. I wasn't wrong and the whole experience from the first enquiry through to picking the car up was fantastic and shows what buying a car should be like. I bought my car (Suzuki Baleno 2016, white) online due to COVID-19 situation. It is my very first car .. as I just passed my driving test and I was driving and practicing with our old car! I saw the car on AutoTrader and contacted Batchelors. Rosie Ball (Sales Executive) was fantastic and efficient in answering my emails (with rapid replies). She tried her best to answer all of my questions and provided me with all the necessary information (especially the bank details) that helped me a lot decide buying that car! Not just that .. Rosie's answers and emails were not automated (robotic).. she was so nice and humain .. Thank you Rosie. Then, the car was delivered for free to my house, on the agreed date and time, on a low loader by a driver called Mark, he was wearing a mask and gloves and was so polite and nice. The car was cleaned within the new guidance of COVID-19 but with Mark going into the car shortly before I did, he brought an air- con refresh which is antibacterial smoke that kills bacteria. Mark sat it off before he left then I waited for 30 minutes until the smell faded as it was strong (all that was instructed by Rosie). Moreover, the car was taxed and MOT checked (both for 12 months) and 3 months warranty by Batchelors. All the paperwork were left for me inside the car and I was provided with two keys. I'll definitely recommend Suzuki from Batchelors and the York branch to my family & friends. Thank you all for the excellent experience!
