O. M.I purchased an automatic Ford Fiesta Zetec from M Bickerton Car Sales just over a month ago. With it being the first car that I'd bought, I was unsure what to expect after hearing stories about many car salesmen and dealerships, but I had absolutely no reason to worry in this case.
Mick was kind, personal, meticulous and knowledgeable - he gave me the full history of the car and was willing to answer any questions that I had. He allowed me to take my time in looking round the car and test-driving it without any pressure to get a true feel for the vehicle. I never felt like I was just another number and that they just wanted my money.
After paying a deposit on the Saturday, the car was put through its MOT on the Monday which it passed. There was an advisory on the front tyres, and Mick made sure two new tyres were put on without any extra charge which I thought was a lovely gesture.
The car was fully serviced ready for me to collect on the Tuesday and, though I was having to collect after I had finished work, I was told that this wasn't a problem at all and that Mick was willing to stay until I got there.
The car has driven like a dream since, and I was very happy with the whole experience. There was a number of other quality used cars there when I was purchasing mine, it's in an ideal location and it was certainly well worth the two-hour round journey in the first place.
Would 100% recommend to anybody who wants a quality car and a friendly and trusting service
l. r.Really happy with the Ford Focus we bought a few months ago - it was handed over in very clean condition, brand new MOT & service and no problems since. What I liked was there was no pressure to buy - very laid back and an experienced person selling unlike other big commercial car places. I wanted to support a local business and will recommend Bickertons to friends. I agree with a previous comment - the only downsides are the lack of choice of cars at times and no snazzy showroom / reception area. Nothing that I was bothered about though and loved seeing the cars being worked on at the workshop at the back.

L. Z.Mick runs this simple family business, and deal with merely Ford and Vauxhall. He and an experienced technician to do services work and check all details according my requirement before payment (MOT, Full Service, Track re-calibration, Tyre pressure re-check, door pinch refasten ).
Pro: Prices listed without inflation; Cars are with fair good quality; good maintenance and service work; easy to talk and quite flexible for arrangements
Con: Small show room; lack of reception service; etc
Ideally for a first car buyer, or buy a second car in the family for commuting etc.
