I recently bought a used Toyota Hilux from Marshall Honda, dealing with Joe Woolveridge through out the sale. He was very accommodating with my needs, particularly as I was travelling from Wiltshire. I received videos confirming the information to specific requests. When I arrived Joe gave me the time and space to scrutinise the vehicle and take it out for a test drive unaccompanied. I didn’t appreciate my part exchange offer dropping by £500 on the spot (£2000 down to £1500), however I decided this was negligible when I was spending £33000+ and time was against me. Once the sale was agreed, Joe made me aware of option extras available for the sale, with no pressure. Joe also arranged a lot of the online V5 administration there and then, creating a smooth transition to my new Hilux, which I am exceptionally happy with. As I said to Joe, it was a pleasure doing business with him at Marshall Honda York.

I just want to say thanks to Dave in the sales department for making my recent purchase of a used Honda so stress free. The car is impeccable and I am over the moon with it. Could not fault our experience yesterday at Marshall Honda. We were looked after by Harrison who guided us through the process of buying and trading in of cars. He had prior knowledge of the telephone conversation we'd had with the manager about the car we had come to look at, which was a good start. That continued throughout the couple of hours we were there. The car we had come to see was waiting for us and we were able to test drive it. First class service! Normally I loathe buying a new car as the whole kerfuffle, and often the whole 'selling process', makes me want gouge my own eyes out with a rusty spoon. However, Joe was an absolute superstar, he didn't push and was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Last popped in to pick up my wife when her car was in for repairs. This time, my battery went flat after pumping up a tyre. The staff here were very helpful getting my car started again, and I booked my car in for the next day, to have the tyre checked (and fixed), and air-con topped up. Nice little waiting area where you can see the work being completed. Usually there's tea and coffe, but this is not available due to Covid. Also, free WiFi (but it didn't work on this visit).

After searching on the internet my Husband found a VW Touareg and it was at Marshall Honda which was good as we live in York, we rang and made an appointment to see the car with a nice salesman for later that day. When viewing the car the same person we had spoken to dealt with us and I have to say he was excellent. Harrison Law was the salesman and he was very professional and informative from start to finish and would recommend anyone to deal with him. If there was anything that he did not know he went away and found out. At all times we felt confident that he was looking after us. Thanks Joe! I've always ignored those "Marshalls Honda VIP Event invitation events" in the past, having bought a new car when it suited us rather than catching the new registration times. This year, after months of working at home, I thought "Oh, one of them, OK, it's a 'virtual' event, I can do Zoom, might be interesting". So I was shocked to get a call on the day before my 'appointment' from Joe Woolveridge, checking I was still coming for a test drive! Er...I've never driven an automatic, much less a hybrid, but I thought, OK... I've been buying Jazz's from Marshalls for some time now (this is our fifth), and it was interesting to see how efficiently they had remodelled the showroom to cope with the Covid requirements, excellent. Joe could not have been more helpful (OK, he could have offered a better deal but that just provoked us to think again about finance in general). He was calm and patient with my questions, and I was particularly impressed (and reassured) by how he dealt with delays in lining up finance without it being an issue. He explained the car features and different driving techniques in detail and gave me confidence in taking that test drive. On the day of swap he dealt with us in a careful, friendly way, without being over the top. I had allowed a couple of hours for this but we were out in not much more than an hour. Throughout this process Joe has been efficient, something you can't always expect. Let's put it this way: I don't want to buy another car any time soon, but I could recommend Joe without hesitation to anyone who asked me. And if you like Jazz's, you're going to love the Jazz e-HEV...

Came here for an emergency recall repair. Staff were very helpful and friendly, clean and well presented store. Some issues with locating the place - you want to take the exit before on the roundabout and go around to get to it. We had to wait a while for the repair and were told we'd get a call if it was ready early, but we showed up an hour early to check and it was sat waiting for us! Otherwise if you plan on dropping your car off, make sure you have a plan as there's very little to do in the area.

My partner purchased a car here over a year ago and we never left a review! After having zero luck with our local Honda dealer(Hull) by trying to sell us a car we didnt want. I emailed York and they had the exact car available. We dealt with Joe who was not pushy even when it came to the add ons where I imagine they make there money. We traded in a car and they gave us a better value then initially quoted. Probably the easiest car buying expense have had! Shame Hull doesn't come close to this branch.

We dealt with Joe at Marshall Honda when buying my wife a used Honda Jazz recently and felt impelled to write a review based on our experience. I have to say when my wife mentioned she had spotted the car at a main dealer I had reservations and visions of being pressured into buying rather than being able to view the car and make out mind up independently, I was very wrong it wasnt like that at all. We were greeted by Joe who showed us around the car, and took us for a test drive. We returned to the dealership and discussed the price, at which point various add ons such as paint protection, alloy wheel repair and extended warranties were offered and discussed. I made it clear at this point that it was not in our budget, although I must add if affordable they do represent good value for money. I expected to have my arm twisted but no, it wasnt mentioned again. Joe respected my decision and did not try to push me further on the subject. The upshot is we bought the car, my wife is over the moon with it to be honest and we both found the experience very pleasant. Joe was at all times very professional and polite and a credit to the dealership and Honda as a brand. I/we would definitely recommend Marshall Honda at York if you are considering buying a new or used Honda and furthermore would like to thank them and Joe for a cracking little car. On a personal note we learnt Joe is going to be a dad, and wish him all the best with fatherhood and continued success with your career. We will definitely when looking to change in the future. 5 stars all the way 👍👍

Just bought a 61 plate Honda Civic type s , which i found on auto trader and approved Honda . I called late on a night and the phone was answered straight away by a guy who turned out to be the sales manager ,I enquired about the car and was told it was immaculate and i would be impressed . As i worked in car sales some years ago i was a bit dubious thinking it was the same line i had heard before , how wrong was I when i got there the following day it was better than described and was like brand new . I was greeted by Chris (the sales manager ) who was very helpful not intimidating as salesman usually are and he passed me to a salesman who was also very helpful .In fact i could go on about all the staff all extremely helpful and special mention should go out to the cleaners as i went to look at the car while it was been cleaned and the cleaner could not of been friendlier . I will sum up that the car , the price , the service , the handover in fact not one aspect was less than perfect would definitely recommend to anyone 5*****
