In July 2022 we embarked upon our first motor home holiday and booked with Road2-Freedom. I cannot praise this company enough. Aside from the fact that they were local, and actually dropped the motor home at our door, the contact and support in the weeks before we left was really first class. We travelled along the west coast of Scotland and back down the east, visiting some amazing places in a brand new motor home that never stopped surprising us with its wealth of kit and capability. We had a fantastic holiday and I highly recommend this business.

I just had a fantastic First Motorhome hire experience with Road2 Freedom (March 2022) of course the weather helped down on the south coast of UK, but this small family run business really couldn't have been any more helpful throughout the entire process. A great experience before we even picked up the motorhome. Great communication even out of hours. Great motorhome, nice to drive even on country lanes in Cornwall. We had to turn the heating down as it was too warm in January! Meaning it's great to hire all year around. If you are looking to hire a motorhome definitely go with these guys.

We have just had an amazing trip away. Never driven or stayed in a motorhome before. But with "Road to Freedom" we need not have worried. Right from the first enquiry we got nothing but 1st class service. All of the information was sent through with easy to follow videos. On picking the motorhome up, Melissa gave us a comprehensive tour of the motorhome. And nothing was too much trouble at all and no question was treated as silly. And....the actual motorhome is immaculate, clean and the added high quality decor made it feel like home from home. After reading impressive reviews online, we chose Road 2 Freedom for our first family holiday in a motorhome and were not disappointed. We chose their 6-birth Swift Edge 476 for our family of 4, giving ample space and the luxury of not having to convert the table into a bed every day. Mel assisted when booking, recommending potential sites in North West Wales, gave a comprehensive handover at pickup with her husband Nev and shared detailed digital instructions on how everything worked. Mel was also available when I needed a helping hand during the holiday, quickly answering my questions. The couple are friendly and approachable, a pleasure to deal with, offering top-notch customer service - nothing was too much trouble. The vehicle is comfortable and well-equipped (toilet/shower, fridge, gas oven/hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, TV/DVD and its own Wi-Fi) with plenty of cupboards and an enormous 'boot' giving more space than you might expect. We made regular use of the picnic table and camping chairs, which are included in the hire. We paid for the optional bike rack so we could use our bikes to explore the local area around the 3 sites we chose without having to travel out in the motorhome each time. We stayed at Quarry View Touring Park, Blaenau Ffestiniog (small friendly site with 5* washrooms, walking distance from Slate Caverns Zip World), Blackthorn Farm, Holyhead, Anglesey (incredible location with sea views) and Trawsdir Touring Caravans & Camping Park, Barmouth (5* site with panoramic sea views). We had a fantastic trouble-free holiday, visiting some amazing places and are very glad that we chose Road 2 Freedom for our first motorhome experience. I'm sure we will be back for more! Just got back from a fabulous road trip around Scotland's NC500 in the four berth Swift 494. Can't praise this company highly enough. All communication from our first enquiry was excellent, and as newbies to motor homes we had lots of questions which Mel was super quick at answering for us. The videos and information about the motor home before the trip were also really helpful. The service felt personal, friendly and professional and the homely personal touches just added to the experience. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending and will definitely be booking again.

We hired the ‘Sun Living’, took it on the Channel Tunnel to France, Belgium and Holland. We stayed on 2 camp sites and thoroughly enjoyed our trip. We took our electric bikes (on the bike rack supplied on the campervan) and rode for miles on the perfect Dutch cycle paths. We hired the Sunliving Motorhome for 8 days, what an experience .. fabulous service from Mel & her husband who were great from start to finish, would answer any silly questions and were on the phone 24/7 if needed. The Motorhome it’s self was a home from home, it was lovely and clean and everything included inside was great too. Mel asked where we were heading and sent us camp sites that she recommended, we did use these campsites and they were perfect. It was freezing and seriously windy come the nights and we had one night with no electric hook up and still almost everything works using the gas. It was lovely and toasty! And still felt cosy! We had to end our trip a bit shorter than planned as we were up in Scotland when storm Dudley was coming and were warned by locals not to go any further up or closer to the coast but we still had a great time and would 100% hire again in the summer months! We travelled 2 adults and 2 children, the kids loved it and chose this over an aeroplane holiday!! Maybe our next travels will be to Portugal in one 😍☀️ best of both worlds…

Excellent service and communication. Mel was quickly contactable to respond to my queries, which did occur several times as l was new to Motorhoming and the Benimar one in particular. Absolutely no problems while away on holiday and thoroughly enjoyed motoring around the country lanes and roads of Yorkshire, Northumberland, Cumbria, Derbyshire and points south. Would highly recommend Road2Freedom for a Motorhoming holiday and that especially goes for those who have not done it before and therefore may feel a little nervous about trying it. Go for it.

Hired the Swift Edge 6 berth for a week in June 2021. As MH newbies we were worried about all the technical aspects of the van, but Road2Freedom were really helpful with the pre-collection user information, a thorough handover process and support throughout the hire. The bedding provided with the beds made up.. and a lovely touch was a nice welcome pack provided by Mel.. Outdoor chairs and table also provided. The motorhome (swift694) was automatic and very easy to drive . The electronic workings of the motorhome ie heating , hot water, waste , was very easy to operate. And a bonus , arrive at your site, plug in the mains , and ready to holiday ! We took it to Wales and had a great time , made easier by a very comfortable motorhome. This was my first time using a motorhome and would recommend it and looking to a new venture next year hiring again .

We hired the Swift Escape 5 birth from 23rd December until 2nd January 2022 to travel the NC500 in Scotland and we had the best time. Recently returned from a week away in Devon & Cornwall on the Swift 6 berth motorhome. Mel did a fantastic handover to us explaining how everything works. Was really worried beforehand on driving the motorhome, but after been on the road for a while it was so easy to drive. Mel and Nev have it very well equipped including kettle, toaster, outside table and chairs. Beds were mega comfortable and spacious. Mel was on hand straight away through our week answering our questions. With it being dog friendly is a plus, as we had our 4 month old cockapoo joining us for his first holiday 🐾. Mel gave us lots of information in regard to best places to book and activities to do whilst there….she is Road2 Freedoms very own Travel guide. Travelled down to Woolacombe, followed by Crantock then on to Perranporth. All beautiful beaches and we were so lucky with the weather…pure sunshine!! We took the option of the Sat Nav which Nev had updated with the measurements of the motorhome to ensure it wasn’t taken down very narrow country roads…this was an absolute bonus…Thankyou! All in all, I cannot fault the service we were given by Mel & Nev and will definitely be booking with you again!

Brilliant from the start, the booking was quick and easy, a fantastic rate too. Unfortunately we can not go on the trip now due to a house move, so I contacted Road2 Freedom. We were complete novices having never hired a camper van before but seen the other reviews left for Road 2 Freedom. Mel was super warm and friendly from the start giving advice on places to stay and hints and tips. We took a week touring Cornwall. Devon and Dorset and I can honestly say it’s the most fun we have had on a UK holiday in years. The camper was immaculate and equipped with everything from toilet rolls to a bottle opener. A welcome hamper was a lovely touch and a full tank of fuel too so we were ready to go ! The beds are insanely comfy so each night we slept like a dream and the little add ons like providing outside table and chairs was a real bonus for our breakfasts in the sunshine. Birds singing. Bacon sizzling away. Heaven. Mel was on hand anytime we had a question and it’s clear she genuinely wants her customers to have a great time. This was our first motor home experience and WOW what an amazing holiday. We loved the freedom the motor home gave us having always travelled abroad on holiday just to be able to move around at a time that suited us and not have the stress of airports! We picked up the motorhome on the wettest Friday we had for months, Melissa had the motorhome ready for us, she was a drowned rat, but met us with a huge smile! Our holiday was starting 😁 After taking though the motorhome, how it all works, setting it up, emptying the waste, we were soon on our way to Minehead. Whilst the length of the motorhome was a concern, it's actually easy to drive, just like a large van. We had the benefit of a automatic gearbox, so it wasn't long we were well on our way to Devon. We found the motorhome well equipped for our needs, the fact it was dog friendly suited our little spaniel. Once we were on site he loved the fact he always with us, Fantasic. We had a great week away, lots of laughs, 5 different sites, easily done. Returning the motorhome was easy, we were able to leave our car at the collection point, which made it so easy. Really great experience with Freedom Motorhome Hire from the first point of contact to dropping the vehicle back. We hired the Swift Escape Motorhome for 10 days for our family staycation. We have never used a motorhome before so all new for us. Nev and Mel really made us feel comfortable when going through all the features of the motorhome when handing it over. The motorhome has everything you could possibly need so you just need yourself and clothes. There was also a cute hamper that Mel had put together which was really lovely and unexpected. They are also great if you need help with anything and respond very quickly to help sort it which was also great. What can I say! From start to finish everything was perfect. The attention to detail and the extra touches in the motorhome were really well thought through and very effective! Something you don’t get with the big corporate companies. The handover process was simple, informative and smooth - Mel was very knowledgeable and friendly (and very patient with a novice). The motorhome was brand new with everything I needed inside. I had a warning light flash up on the control panel (I’d done something wrong with the electrical hook up) and Mel/Neville responded to my text within seconds which really put my mind at ease. Great first experience with Freedom. As a first time motorhome driver, I went for the smaller 4 berth which was ample room. Melissa was very helpful on handover and explained how it all worked. The motorhome was spotless, full of fuel and basically ready to go (with a lovely hamper). We headed for the Lakes and spent a few days climbing Skiddaw and Scarfell Pike, with paddle boarding on Derwent Water as well (our blow up paddle board fitted into the rear storage area easily). The motorhome was just the right size to cope well with the narrow roads. It was very warm and plenty of room inside for us. I did have an issue with an error code on the control panel on the Saturday night, which was down to me not the motorhome. Despite that, Neville was very helpful indeed at the end of the phone, despite it being well past 10pm which I very much appreciated. For the second part, we headed over to the North Norfolk coast where we ambled from place to place at an intentionally sedate pace. The cost of the winter hire was in my view, excellent value for money. Having also looked at summer hire costs, I also think the fees are very reasonable. The proof is in the pudding as they say, as I have already booked up their slightly bigger home (to contrast the two really) next June. In short, great value for money, the Freedom crew are very helpful and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

I use motorhome with this company for one week, and would highly recommend to others. It was a new vehicle, with plenty of space, large windows, and double beds, a shuttle motorhome, with plenty of space for the driver and above it, which did not bother the trip at all, saw a wonderful panoramic view. As you lay down to sleep from the bed, through a large window, you can see the sea with beautiful mountains with herding sheep. In one week we visited five places of beautiful natural scenery where we slept, spent two museums, sailed in an inflatable boat on the lake, visited five waterfalls, used playgrounds, climbed mountains 500m above sea level, swam in the sea where we caught fish. We traveled from the North Sea to the Irish Sea. The relocating is very fast, not comparable to hotel administration, and the ride is stable and secured with a 2.4l engine that does not feel uphill, and fuel consumption is no more than 28-30mpg. Inside, the air temperature is maintained by an air conditioner, and a universal heating system that supports hot water, a three-hole gas stove, oven, large refrigerator, spacious bathroom with toilet. We’ve had a wonderful vacation, and we’ll want to do it again. Because the company hosts nice and warm people, answers questions quickly, solves any problems, and looks after motorhomes, and maintains impeccable cleanliness. This is the highest quality service, with a low price available to everyone. I highly recommend Road2 Freedom (Motorhome Hire) to other customers as a 5 star service

We rented the Swift Escape motorhome for a 7 day trip to the New Forest and Dorset. The pick up process was really quick Melissa and Nev were very friendly and informative and the van was in great condition. As the van is semi-automatic it was really easy to drive and park up. The returns process was quick and efficient also. Nothing was too much trouble and if there issue Nev and Melissa said to giv them call if needed.

A week ago we’ve just finished our 10days trip, covered over 1700miles full of adventures around the magnificent Scotland with Freedom Motorhome Hire one of the MoHo’s From the begging I’ve started plan the trip with “Freedom” I felt a real customer service professionalism. Vehicle collection was absolutely great and unexpected how everything’s simple and smooth with all information you need during your stay in Motorhome. Motorhome in & out was stunningly amazing. Inside the MoHo we’ve found everything we needed from the spoon to dvd’s and table games. Everything was working perfectly without any problems. Exterior was really great too. even tires polished well 😀 so you can absolutely enjoy your drive on the road. Vehicle returning was same as collection simply easy. No extra hidden cheeky charges “for dirty tires or bug left on the front window” or “extra mile we drove”( that’s from previous experience) In my opinion Freedom Motorhome hire is the best choice you can get at the minute in Motorhomes hire market. We have just spent 8 days away in Norfolk in a Swift Escape motor home. Our initial handover was very thorough but not a laborious affair. Many thanks for the welcome pack and the personal 70th birthday touch which was greatly appreciated. The m/h is very well appointed and kitted out for 5 people with cullery, crockery, glassware and cooking pots, pans and utensils. There are several ac power and usb outlets. Excellent full height fridge/freezer which intelligently switches between dc, gas and ac power. A three plate gas hob and oven with grill together with electric kettle and toaster. We took our own coffee machine. The toilet, shower and basin closet is a good size. The vehicle has large fresh and waste water storage. There is also an on board controller for the central heating, hot water system, water level monitoring and automatic grey waste pump outs. The double bed at the rear of the m/h is so comfy - even for a 6 footer. Lots of cupboard space, ample windows with duel screens for privacy and insects. All in all - a great experience.

Would HIGHLY recommend Road2Freedom for camper van hire. Our first trip in a camper van with 3 children and a dog and we had the best time travelling round Wales. (Translated) We have spent Easter in one of their motorhomes, and I recount the experience, from the first moment I had a query I was attended to almost instantly, very very very good communication, the time and day did not matter, they have always responded, we decided To rent with them, they gave us the option of picking us up at Luton airport, with an additional cost of £40 and the truth is that I think it is a good service, the price according to the distance, about 25 minutes or so. Melissa, a lovely girl, very affable, picked us up, took us to the motorhome, and the surprise was that inside the car there were some welcome snacks! Thank you very much! The motorhome in good condition, we only had a problem with the light in the living room that stopped working on the second day, but with the rest of the lighting there was no problem, even so... Almost daily they were interested in how the trip was going, so yes! I would rent a motorhome again in this company, not giving it 5 stars is the following reason. When you rent you don't think anything will happen, and sometimes mishaps arise, this time I hit the rear-view mirror leaving the glass broken, it's something that happens, narrow roads... And trees that protrude into the road, even so I know I have to pay for the damage, but what you shouldn't do is make money off of this, a rear view mirror costs €50, a complete mirror with housing costs €180, but you can't charge €300 for a mirror, I think this part was a abuse... Even so hit without delay and without any claim... Just keep in mind that if all goes well, 10! But any unforeseen event can turn very against you.... (Original) Hemos pasado la semana santa en una de sus autocaravanas, y cuento la experiencia, desde el primer momento que tuve una consulta se me atendio casi instantáneamente, muy muy muy buena comunicacion, daba igual la hora y el dia, siempre han respondido, nos decidimos a alquilar con ellos, nos dieron la opcion de recogernos en el aeropuerto de Luton, con un sobrecoste de 40£ y la verdad que creo que es un buen servicio, el precio acorde a la distancia, unos 25 minutos mas o menos. Nos recogio Melissa una chica encantadora, muy afable, nos llevo hasta la autocaravana, y la sorpresa fue que dentro de la auto habia unos snacks de bienvenida! Muchas gracias! La autocaravana en buenas condiciones, solo tuvimos un problema con la luz del salon que dejo de funcionar al segundo dia, pero con el resto de iluminacion no hubo problema, aun asi... Casi a diario se interesaban por como iba el viaje, asi que si! Volveria a alquilar una autocaravana en ests empresa, el no darle 5 estrellas es el siguente motivo. Cuando alquilas no crees que pase nada, y a veces surgen contratiempos, esta vez golpee el retrovisor quedando el cristal partido, es algo que pasa, carreteras estrechas... Y arboles que sobresalen a la calzada, aun asi se que debo pagar el desperfecto, pero lo que no se debe hacer es ganar dinero a costa de esto, un espejo retrovisor cuesta 50€, un espejo completo con carcasa cuesta tirando alto 180€, pero no se puede cobrar 300€ por un espejo, creo que esta parte fue un abuso... Aun asi pegue sin demora y sin reclamación alguna... Solo tener en cuenta que si todo va bien, de 10! Pero cualquier imprevisto puede volverse muy en tu contra....
