After going back down to the factory and seeing my van being worked on I was more then happy. Anyway collected my T6 and I'm over the moon with it, what a transformation I love it. Absolutely great experience with the team at Big Wave Campers. We've been looking to get a campervan for a couple of years now. However with prices reaching £60k+ for newer model conversions we were completely priced out. We came across Big Wave who had a great variety of older vans to newer ones. So we were finally able to find a campervan within our means. We opted for an older van, but with a full bespoke conversion. Communication from the beginning was excellent and when I dropped them a note asking any questions they responded same day. The van conversion was bespoke - so we were able to select finishes - the team were extremely accommodating and nothing was too much trouble for them. On collection day the van was fully valeted and was better than we could have imagined...finishes were exactly as requested, and it's clear that great workmanship has been done. The handover was detailed and thorough. Its safe to say we are very happy campers right now. Thank you to Nathan and the team at Big Wave for making our campervan dreams come true.

Picked up my new camper a few days ago and it was very much worth the wait! Couldn’t be happier with the design and interior, all done to the specs I had personally chosen and completed within a 3 week period. I was a bit skeptical making such a big purchase, but my worries were instantly gone when speaking to the team regularly throughout my build journey. When I finally saw the finished camper, it blew me away with how good it looked, top quality products fitted in a top of the range camper. Worth every penny and the cheapest on the market. I’d recommend all my friends, family and even strangers to go and have a look at the stock they have or enquire about building your own, it will honestly be the best journey and decision of your life! Would highly recommend!

Overall we are happy with our purchase, the van looks lovely, and it was great that we could chose our own finishes. A few niggling points…communication was not clear at all during the purchase process. From choosing the van, selecting the finishes and the location of the van itself, it was all difficult/unclear. Another major concern was that gas connection clearly had not been checked upon handing over the vehicle: the hose attachment to the regulator was not secure and there was a second leak between the isolator and stove.

The van life is the best and you can’t beat the street cred of a VW ……. love the set out of my van and how quickly and efficiently the crew at BIG WAVE got me sorted and on the road ….. I start by saying that this has been a different experience for me. Have been searching on and on for ways to be able to go abroad and still feel safe and comfortable and this company provided exactly that. At the beggining had no idea on the work they were able to do for me, but after a reasonable deposit they were able to find the van of my choice and fit every thing that I wanted plus with colours of my choice which is amazing, more personalised. Since that have been in Portugal, which is a big ride and drives amazingly well and my family absolutely loved, and though of purchasing in the future as well, when have physically the chance. The service is good, and have always explanations for every doubt, after sales gave me 'weekly' updates on how was the construction going and when to pick up. Highly recommended, thank you so much.

You get what you pay for and to be fair there’s been nothing majorly wrong with the van I bought a year and half ago, yes ive had to replace a lot of the inadequate screws used to fix the cupboards and fixtures, yes it wasn’t cleaned as you may expect and yes the tyres were fitted the wrong way round!!. But everything was easily fixable and the for the price of their conversions vs others a couple of screws, some cleaning and a swap of the tyres probably balanced off against the brill times we’ve had touring the country in bubba the van! Service and finishing may be better elsewhere but adventures can still be had!!!

We just took delivery of a newly converted 20 plate VW transporter SWB from BWC. With the dream Of foreign holidays cancelled this year and a long held desire to finally buy a camper van, we discovered big wave campers. After further googling, seeing the classic negative reviews, and searches we decided these guys seemed the best to buy from. Now, we’re in Norfolk and the van of interest was at their Bude forecourt. They delivered to our door and even came out a week later to fix a very minor snag. I have to say that the after sales service, from Ann in particular, has been second to non. They recognised we were buying online, in a pandemic, from a town nearly 400 miles away and handled any concerns and queries professionally and with good humour. I cannot comment on some of the negative reviews we saw and that remain for this company but I had a mate of mine, a true VW camper man, give this conversion a tyre kick at point of delivery and save for a few very minor issues, he said he could not believe the quality and was quite jealous. Result!! We’ve since camped out on the drive in our new van and it was everything we’d hoped for. Highly recommend Big Wave Campers. If you want a California then this is the closest you’ll get for a lot less but without scrimping in quality.

We made the journey from East Sussex to bigwave campers studley as we had heard great things about their campers. We met Joden who left us to look around the campers on the forecourt. He explained we could choose any furniture, worktop colour we liked gave us a choice of vehicle to be fitted out. Choice of wheels too. We chose a pale blue two tone painted exterior. On a 2016 T6. We paid a deposit after agreeing a great trade in price for our vehicle when we returned to pick up our new camper in approx 2/3weeks. We took delivery just before Christmas 2019 it was exactly as we ordered. We have been very pleased with our camper, we have delayed leaving a review until we d a chance to trial it. We have been very pleased with the aftersales given and when lock down is over look forward to using our van. Shirley and Chris East Sussex
