Malaysian visitor here. My experience with Alamo/enterprise was great. As with most online reviews it’s usually the negative ones that would get written so while I can not say for what happened to the others, I had a great time renting a car here. To note, It’s not my first time hiring a car with enterprise, pretty consistent in terms of service. Wide smiles and professional, especially Abby. I shall return!

Had a great experience renting from Enterprise. The check-in counter is for Alamo Budget and Enterprise combined. Check in with super simple, I did a quick walk around of the car with clear instruction on what to call out for damage. There was minimal damage on the car and was given to me in very clean condition with a full tank. The gal that checked me in was very friendly and professional, and got me on my way quickly. I drove out to Loch Ness and then back to St Andrews returning to Edinburgh after that, and the car handled great with no issues. Returning the car was super easy, and the manager that helped me was very very friendly, solid customer service. I was very impressed with the overall experience and would happily return there again..

Although initially concerned by the reviews I read on here, I was actually very pleased with Alamo. The car I hired was checked out by a nice man and checked back in by a lovely lady both who were friendly and helpful. My deposit was returned with no issues. Based on my experience I’d recommend Alamo Edinburgh Waverley.

First things first- you need to understand where this is located! It’s poorly signposted and will be a struggle to find. You need to head towards the car park and then down to -2. The rental car desks are located just outside the lift. If you wander around (like we did) to the exit to the car park, head inside and find the lifts towards the back and down. Car was good and service fine. Loss of a star for the unexpectedly high cost of £1700 per incident when not taking insurance. This is highway robbery and it’s difficult to believe this practice continues in the UK of all markets. Insurance costs £22 per day for our vehicle. We were covered by our own insurance, but just a good one to be aware of when hiring.

I booked with Alamo, New Street, Edinburgh via a comparison site, having used the site on a few occasions. Have to say Alamo came out with flying colours. Beautiful car and an upgrade from what I'd booked. Bronwyn served me and what a delightful person she is. Very thorough, professional and helpful. Saw her as well when I returned the car and despite being under a bit of pressure as they were very busy, she was pleasant and remembered where I had been going! Would defo use them again.

Office was closed due to Covid as of Aug 17. Not the easiest place to find. The office is located in the Waverley Court garage, 2 levels below street level. You won't see any signs for Alamo from the outside. The Google Maps directions will take you to the garage entrance for returning vehicles. You can still walk in from there, just find the elevator/stairs and go down to find the office.

The service itself was very good, but they were clearly understaffed. Returning the car went very smoothly. (Original) Bij het ophalen van de wagen stond er een lange wachtrij. Het ophalen van de auto met alle bijhorende papieren en uitleg, heeft maar liefst 1 uur geduurd. De service op zich was zeer goed, maar ze waren duidelijk onderbemand. Het inleveren van de wagen ging zeer vlot.

Unheimlich schwer zu finden. Ohne Beschilderung im Untergeschoss eines Parkhauses. Statt des bestellten Wagens bekamen wir einen wesentlich größeren und breiteren. Für ungeübte Linksfahrer auf engen Straßen eine stressige Angelegenheit. Die Prozesur von Abholung und Abgabe war sehr zeitintensiv. (Translated) Unbelievably difficult to find. Without signs in the basement of a parking garage. Instead of the ordered car, we got a much larger and wider. For inexperienced left-hand drivers on narrow streets a stressful affair. The process of collection and delivery was very time consuming.

Prijzen zeer concurrerend. Leuk is dat er van allerlei jonge mensen werken die uit heel Europa komen.
