We hired a roof box recently for a week away. Duncan advised us which box would be best suited. Booking & payment was a simple process. Fitting was quick & efficient, Kevin also noted the height for us with the box fitted for low bridges etc. An eleventh hour car accident meant we had to use a different car for our trip than the one the box had been fitted to, Kevin & Duncan went above & beyond, came out to our house to transfer the box for us in less than half an hour after we called. Brilliant company, great guys!

Excellent service allround, needed a solution for a one off trip that needed extra space and this was perfect. Booking very simple, all very thorough, Duncan even taken the time to get in touch to ensure what roof was on the car as the model changes around the year my car is. fitting was quick and all service was polite and friendly, showed how the box worked and a reminder about the extra height. box itself was top quality. removal was also quick and efficient and deposit returned on the spot. will use again if i need the extra space and comes with a full recommendation from me. Booking was easy and the payment instructions / time for booking was all very easy. Went at the prearranged time and it was all fitted while I went for a quick coffee. Duncan showed how it worked and also gave a card reminding re extra height etc. Removal was very quick and deposit is returned on the spot which is great. Duncan and Kev are really friendly and helpful and I’d definitely recommend them.

Excellent. Top customer service. Duncan dealt with our hire. Only took around 15 minutes to install. He explained how it works & demonstrated how to close the lid properly & how to lock it correctly. He gave me his card & wrote a reminder to me that my vehicle will now be 2.2m in height. Very friendly too. Returning the box was easy. I just texted him to say when I would be back & agreed a time, which was flexible should we be delayed. Would definitely recommend.

Friendly and efficient service. Very helpful, we did a last minute booking and they fitted us with bars and a bag straight away. We have a dacia duster which doesn't make it easy to fit bars but they still got it on. Amazing and we will definitely come back

Great resource in East Lothian, I hired a roof box recently for a long weekend, these guys were fab from start to finish. Been looking to buy a new / second hand roof box for a while but couldn't see one to meet what I needed (mainly size for my roof bars). Decided to look at renting and the guys from Lothian Roofbox Hire were really helpful. I rented a Thule box for 3 days, fitting and removing went smoothly and I have decided that rather than buy, I will simply rent again in future - probably will need to hire three / four times a year so short / week long breaks but this will mean I don't have to worry about storage or leaving the roof box on my car permanently as that increases fuel consumption. I recently lost the keys to my own roof box and despite not being a customer of theirs, Duncan and Kev went out of their way to help me: trying all their keys and then driving to get a key cut when they found a key that worked. Really lovely guys and if I ever needed a roof box in Edinburgh they'd be my first choice.
