Generally happy with the service as process was rather seamless but upon returning the van I’ve been told that there would be an extra charge for fuel even though I filled up the tank till full at the nearest petrol station. The reason I’ve been told was that diesel can foam up but would the car really take an extra 5l of fuel? Even if so I wish I was told this when hiring to avoid such unpleasant surprises especially as the staff who informed me about it didn’t seem to care much.

Rented a van for a small house removal. Was able to collect at 4pm and keep it for 24 hours - rather than same day return. Great service at the sales point and a competitive price. The whole process was fast and very straightforward. They fill up the petrol when it is returned. Would definitely use them again.

Hired a Tail lift Van at short notice after being let down by an arranged courier. The young lady at AMK was most helpful. I got the van I needed and managed to complete the job I was doing. Full marks to AMK 👍 I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

My only disappointment was not finding them sooner, lovely car for the weekend at only £115 straight forward at reception in and out in 10 minutes, starting with a full tank is helpful too.

Booked a transit van at the met him street branch and went to pick it up next day only to be told I couldn't hire one because of my age as the insurance had a age limit on their insurance policy is 75 yet you can still insure your car anyway got van next day as got my son to drive it for me

Hired a van for a day, was quoted the cheapest price so tried them out. Glad I did, convenient location for pick up and drop off, easy hiring process and competitive price. Needed to extend the hire for an extra day, done it over the phone with one quick call. When in the office I noticed they sell old vehicles, some seemed like a good deal. Have used AMK for several years mostly to hire a Luton van once a week. Always found staff very helpful , like a family, and never any issue with condition of the vehicle. Staff were friendly. 17-seater Minibus performed excellent. Had cruise control. Had left parts of my SAT NAV in the vehicle after I returned it. It was returned to me by post without cost. Very good value hire. Worked out about £600 a week. Probably could do with larger premises as many of the vehicles are parked in the surrounding streets. I recommend this company.

We hired 17 seater bus. You have to pay 100 pounds deposit before the day of the hire . Plus 125 for the day . Which was fine.all in we done 123 miles and used a quarter or a tank. Went to garage in the morning before returning the bus . And after 20 pounds of diesel the tank was what we thought full again. After returning the bus and they done their check over they determined we still had to pay an extra 11 pounds for fuel so fir quarter of a tank it cost us 31 pounds diesel yet just the week before we used boulevard self drive and it only cost us 15 pounds diesel for the exact same journey.wont be using amk again as i dont get how they managed to put another 11 pounds diesel in an already full tank. Suppose they need to make money somehow
