They are the highest rated car rental in Glasgow for a reason. Truly professional, convenient and smooth process throughout. No shady business. Very accommodating and understanding towards my driving license situation. Easy pick up and easy drop off. Super friendly staff. Sorry forgot about the name of the staff who handed me the car, thank you and also George who handled my drop off, thank you. Good price, and most importantly the car was superb. Clean and good performance. Drove it all the way up to Isle of Skye and back with no issues at all. Even offered free shuttle bus to take me back to the city after drop off. Highly recommend this rental to everyone here in Glasgow. Thank you!

Great service! They phoned to help smooth the process of getting me in and out when collecting the vehicle. Van was well kept and had no issues driving it. Had found when I had fuelled it that the gauge didn’t increase to max (which I had fuelled to). I explained this to George with the proof of purchase for the fuel and it was all sorted. Apart from the 2miles walk from Partick to pick up car, whole process was smooth. Hazzy was most patient with me when I needed extra time to sort out wife’s license to be second driver ( better to get DVLA code prior to visit). Was phoned to pick up car earlier due to closure on day of HM QE2’s funeral and they didn’t charge me for the additional 2 days! Return of car was easy and offered a ride back. Because of the gift for 2 more days I opted to pay extra to zero the insurance excess and buy fuel from them ( return car near empty tank). All in all very pleasant experience.

Arnold Clark Car Hire was by far the best value, and best reviews of all I checked out before hiring. They had a pick up and drop off service which worked well. The car was automatic and they provided a Tom Tom GPS. The pre-booking information was helpful and staff service before and after the hire was courteous, helpful and with minimal waiting time. I was very happy with the quality of the hybrid car, which minimised anxiety over finding a petrol station in the Highlands and Islands, as well as being more economical in fuel. The Tom Tom took me where I wanted to be with few glitches! Very happy to recommend!

Car was delivered in clean condition. The hybrid really helped us save money too!! Staff were friendly and helpful. Bathroom available on site. They also have a shuttle bus to drop you off nearby. As a piece of advice always tell the staff where the chips and scrapes/damage are on the vehicle during your pre delivery inspection. Take a photo of the inspection paperwork before and after the rental.

Situated some several miles out of Glasgow, which necessitated a £15 taxi ride to get there. Arrived in heavy rain, but received a warm welcome from the reception team, and a hand in with our luggage. Necessary paperwork completed, and delighted with the quality of hire car. March registered with 4000 on the clock. Alternative fuel deals explained, and deals to reduce the standard insurance excess from £1k to £400. I understand that they will return us to our hotel at the end of the hire period. Very happy with the car, same make as my own, later model.

All the staff at this branch were extremely helpful, including the supply of the required test day documentation. Easy to book, cars immaculate with additional rear mirror. Very reasonable Young Scot card holders rates. Our teenager passed their test today in the Arnold Clark dual control car. Would highly recommend this branch and service.

Visited Arnold Clark for the first time in a number of years as i needed a short term car hire. I booked online for a Sunday same day collection at 3pm then headed to pick it up. I had a lift arranged to get there which unfortunately fell through so i ended up getting a bus making me an hour later. Just as i was arriving they called to check everything was ok. I was then met by David who quickly and efficiently checked my documents and explained everything to me. He was very professional and friendly and a welcoming face of the company. The car was then shown to me and they answered a couple of questions about it before i drove away. The return was simple with the car quickly checked and an offer of a lift given. I filled up with fuel before returning it but if they do it for you they charge 20% over and above how much it costs to fill it. I'm pleased this was explained to me beforehand. All in this was a very easy rental with no issues. Thank you.

I go to this branch in particular because it is one of the Larger branches,which means it nearly always holds and has a much wider range and selection of vehicles for people to choose, although , all the branches are good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The longer opening hours makes it a better option than alot of other hire companies that usually close for buisness by about 6pm. Some staff need extra training. Didn't inform me you need to turn up at least 15 mins early to complete booking and tried to reduce my dual-control hire time. Told them politely where to go and kept the car for 2 hours anyway. Also, failed to tell me that there is an excess mileage charge. Kept me waiting when I brought the car back. Very unprofessional. I don't mind Arnold Clark, but some (not all) staff are a bit glaikit looking when you try to speak to them. It's just feedback people... don't take it so personally. A good deal, but they need to make sure staff are properly trained to inform customers appropriately so there are no wee surprises. Also, the contract you sign is not fit for purpose. Still says there's an excess to pay even when you take out excess waiver. Have they learned nothing from the PPI fiasco? Get it sorted Arnold before you lose your shirt over this. A big employer like AC should know better. Edit: were much better 2nd visit.
