A fantastic way to experience parts of Scotland - especially west coast and highlands. I appreciated the video clips and detailed instruction manual that accompanied the motorhome for touching up on proper usage. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would recommend Atlas Motorhome for the adventurers! We loved the ability to simply stop along the trail and make a sandwich, enjoy a beverage and enjoy unexpected views/locations in addition to staying at various camping sites.

Hired a Auto trail tribute campervan from atlas for our honeymoon trip around the highlands. Staff were super friendly, knowledgeable and really put us at ease on our first campervan trip. Richard ran us through everything on the motorhome that we would need for the next two weeks. We had such a great time, the van was great practically brand new and did everything we could have asked for. They carried out a valet of my car while we were away and highlighted damage on one of my tyres that could have caused a blow out on the 5 hour journey home so we must really thank them for that also. Both myself and my wife would highly recommend atlas and would definitely book with them... If we don't buy our own camper van before that is.

My daughter and I had a gtreat holiday in a 6 berth van which we chose so she could sleep above the cab. We were new to motor homes and I was a bit shocked by its size but I need nor have worried, Richard took me on a brief driving lesson and driving was great. Richard is super friendly and encouraging. The holiday was brilliant, if we get a chance to repeat it I'll go straight to the islands and spend more time there, brilliant for wild camping (in style). We took the van out at the end of the summer season and there were a number of glitches, did not impair our experience but was a tad disappointing. Having said this I would go back confidently.

We’ve had a great time in our Atlas Motorhome. The motorhome was perfectly equiped for wild-camping having lpg, water and solar panels on board. Richard and his staff are perfect hosts! We were picked up at the airport and driven to our motorhome. Everyting about the motorhome was explained and we were on our way. After two great weeks we were welcomed back and brought back to the airport... Thumbs up for Atlas!!

I’d never driven a campervan (RV) before so I spent a few weeks researching a few companies in my area. I finally settled on Atlas Motorhome and Campervan Hire and I can honestly say I made the right choice. I visited their lot months prior to our trip to check out the various models and they happily showed me around and helped me to make the right choice of vehicle. After that I booked on site and returned in September for the big trip. We were given a tutorial on how everything works before setting off. (I recommend filming the tutorial as you’ll likely forget something, as we did.) However part of the fun for us was being parked in the middle of nowhere and referring to the big manual supplied with the van to give ourselves a refresher course. By the end of the trip we knew that van top to bottom. Everything worked and we were actually surprised and just how comfortable the fixed bed was, always a concern when sleeping on an unfamiliar mattress. Bottom line: If and when I do another RV trip I’ll use them again.

The Motorhome on the inside was very clean and tidy and the 4 berth Motorhome was the perfect size for 2 adults to have plenty of room to move about. It was very straight forward for pick up and drop off process. The system to hook up to the electricity when you get to a campsite is very simple and to empty the chemical waste. The Motorhome was very well insulated and comfortable. Well done.

Hired a stretched camper - described as ideal for the two of us, and it was! Richard very friendly, van was six weeks old and had just 1200 miles on it! Was one problem with the fridge not cooling very much, but Richard phoned us right away to tell us how to adjust things .... before we had even phoned him! New van for us and for him! Recommend these folk. Excellent city centre location right next to the motorway - so wide lanes for the first few miles driving a strange vehicle!

The service we received from you and your colleagues was excellent from our initial telephone call many weeks ago until we handed back our mobile home at the weekend. Reference to the Atlas guide enabled us to soon become familiar with the technology and systems which you had outlined as part of our induction! For two old people nearer 80 than 70 we enjoyed the experience. Sorry I damaged the wing mirror which hurt my pride nearly as much as my wallet!! Perhaps this risk could receive greater emphasis in the induction process. Well done to all at Atlas.

We hired the van at the end of Oct, weather was frightful so got to experience the motorhome for real. Check in and out for the van was simple and the handy instructions booklet made the experience great. Central location in Glasgow and secure onsite parking for my car. Everything we required for our 5 days away was available. Motorhome was clean and in good working order. Well definitely return next year to use in the warmer months. Website gave me all the information about what I needed to provide etc and booking was slick.

Atlas Campervan, hired out of Glascow, was an outstanding company to rent a motorhome for holiday touring. During the estimate and rental process, they were easy to contact and prompt with responses. After arriving in Glascow, they were prompt with their transport from the airport. On our return, they went out of their way and schedule to accommodate an extension of the camper rental, which was so greatly appreciated. The van was in pristine condition, well maintained and wonderful to drive, even on the narrow Scotland roads. When in Scotland we would most certainly hire from Atlas and highly recommend.

We had a six metre motorhome with the bed coming from the roof, just a perfect size for two. Out of ten nights we only went into camp sites twice, only to empty the loo really. It is not easy to find other places that will allow you to dump loo waste. At one camp sight we were refused just to empty the loo, they were pretty rude. Rose camp site at Oban was the name.So the loo lasts about five full days. We filled up with water three times, one of which was at a yacht harbour but you might find taps at garages etc. The van was a great size to get down small lanes to rivers or lochs , you can’t beat wild camping, brilliant. Definitely get an extra gas cylinder, although the first one lasted eight days, but just for ease of mind , and we could have been lucky with the first one being a near full one. Lots of space inside for storage, although we travel light and only had one cabin bag, but you could get two of those in the cupboard in the loo, but you would lose a shelf for stuff. a pretty large hanging wardrobe too. Holdalls are the way to go really. I would definite recommend Atlas , very friendly and professional. Andio

Basically if you want a reliable and new vehicle at an inclusive price, I'd totally recommend Atlas. Other companies look cheaper (and may in the end be slightly cheaper) but you may be in a much older vehicle. Any issues snd Atlas are just a call away.

Just googled atlas to book my second hire with them. Figure i'd leave a review seen as there's only 6 just now! We hired last year, a Granvia and we really enjoyed it. Can't fault atlas at all. The van was immaculate when we picked it up. The owner is very friendly and helpful, everything was explained, nothing was too much hassle etc. you really can't fault the service. They throw in all the wee extras you're likely to either forget or maybe not even have. From camping chairs to washing up liquid etc. We mentioned we were thinking about buying a van and the owner took time out to show us round the different vans they had so we had a better idea what we were looking for. After seeing the Granvia's we actually considered buying an ex rental van. We ended up not doing that - for the number of times we'd use it, it's cheaper to hire for us, but I would have bought from atlas before i bought from a dealer that's for sure. I really liked the Granvia, they have more power than you'd think. Nothing to set the world on fire but they're certainly not pondery slow things like some transit vans can be. Really good size for 2 people. Pretty economical too, especially considering campervans are only slightly more aerodynamic than a brick wall! I was expecting to be visiting the petrol station more often. Anyway, enough rambling from me. Hire with confidence, they're a decent crowd and well priced.

Excellent company to deal with and very flexible, Only complaint I would have was that the motorhome I had was I think the last hire before being sold and the van was a bit tired and scruffy looking on the outside with some of the blinds taped together in the inside and I think the cost should have been reduced as a result but really that's just a small complaint as the rest of the experience was fantastic, would defo hire from them again in the future.

Good company. We rented a motorhome for 2 weeks. Very efficient ans responsive booking process. They were also available the only time we had to give them a call for a question during the rental, after hours. The central pickup location in Glasgow is very convenient. The motorhome was great because all the systems can work on either gas or electricity. So you never really have to hookup if you don't want to. This gives a lot of freedom for wild camping, and can also save you money on campsites. Not all motorhomes have this. The only slight downside was that many interior features were a bit flimsy so we had to keep fixing things that would detach such as the skylights ot other bits. All in all I would definitely rent again with Atlas.

Show up in scotland with 9 days and no plans... what to do? Hell yes, Atlas Motorhome rental was the best answer ever! Loved the unit we rented from them. Compact but had everything we needed for amazing comfort. Now my wife wants one just like it. And the service from Atlas was great. From the first call, to the fair price, to the pick up and drop off process. Great company all around. They didn't rush us through pick up and took all the time needed to answer our questions and let us get unpacked into the coach. Showed us how everything worked, programmed the GPS for us, and made sure we had the emergency numbers just in case. And then they were right there for an early drop off the morning we left to help us get back to the airport for an early flight! Best travel experience ever!

My parents and I hired a 4 berth motorhome to visit Scotland (NC500) and had such a good time. The motorhome was quite new and the perfect size for the kind of road we drove on. My dad had no trouble driving it and it was automatic, which is big plus when you usually drive on the other side of the road (no need to look for the gears!). Everything worked perfectly and the price are pretty reasonable! The customer service was amazing. Staff is super friendly and really helpful, they took time to explain how everything works. We had a really good week in our Atlas hired 6-berth motorhome, which was comfortable and spacious. Atlas provides a really comprehensive suite of video guidance and downloadable instructions (plus a folder that goes with you) so you know exactly how to deal with things like changing gas bottles, using the control panel for heating and hot water, and emptying the toilet etc. There's a lot of it but worth watching and reading thoroughly, even if you know your way around campers and motorhomes - I've hired from other companies before and this is a definite plus point for Atlas. The motorhome was very well-equipped with essentials such as washing-up liquid, cloths and tea towels - even a toilet roll to get you start - and we hired extras including bedding and towels, outdoor table and chairs, and a full gas bottle which I'd suggest is an essential unless you don't intend to cook at all. A family of 6 might have found some more kitchen items useful (an additional large saucepan and a bigger frying pan, plus a fish slice for that all important full English (!), for example), but for us it worked really well. We had a couple of very minor issues with the motorhome internally early on, but were able to get hold of Richard and John for assistance - signal was poor where we were so they emailed with some helpful information, and John called me to clarify as soon as I could get into a better spot - so I was really happy to find support was there when needed. When we returned to the Atlas base at the end of our week, John called a taxi back to the airport for us; handing back was straighforward and made the end of our holiday just as smooth as the beginning. The only slight niggle I'd raise is that we were asked to put 5L of AdBlue into the motorhome half way through our week, which we had to buy ourselves - hence 4 stars and not 5. We did drive a few hundred miles but I'd have hoped that this would have been topped up prior to pick-up, with an additional bottle provided by Atlas in case it ran low during our week (in which case, I'd absolutely expect to top it up myself). Maybe I missed this in the extensive guidance notes they sent prior to our holiday, but be aware that you can expect to add £15 to your bill for AdBlue. That aside, it was a great week, the motorhome was lovely to drive, and I'd recommend Atlas to anyone wanting to take that idyllic road trip. Special thanks to John for a couple of great conversations about the joys of touring around Scotland, and a tip about a great seafood restaurant which I will absolutely follow up on next time I'm up there!

All very organised and everything worked like clockwork. The backup guy was very helpful (we couldn’t find the tv remote!) . We bought a topper mattress to improve the bed comfort but it wasn’t too bad anyway. Just back from a week touring Scotland after hiring a motorhome from Atlas Motorhome, we hired the 2-4 birth luxury Fiat model which for a couple was perfect might be a little cramp for 4! The layout of the motorhome was ideal, very comfortable & with the double bed which hoists up to the ceiling is genus, it looked small whilst up but plenty big enough I'd say as big as a double bed. The vehicle was in very good condition adding to the luxurious feel with a good gas hob and quite a large oven/grill and plentiful sized fridge/freezer plus all the cutlery/crockery you'd need. The bathroom is well laid out with clever storage that can also be accessed from outside. Atlas also have a very good support service with a number to ring for any issues you may have, I called it a couple of times even once late on Saturday evening just to ask where something would be and received a friendly service & answer to my questions. Fuel wise we got about 24 miles to the gallon which is to be expected. Overall excellent vehicle & friendly customer service especially from John when booking out, support on the journey and checking the vehicle in at the end. Thank you Atlas Motorhome and Caravan

Rented a premium motorhome, and the service was great. The vehicle only had 840 miles on the clock when we got it. They seem to have quite tight return requirements (eg. £75/hrs late return fees), but given the sanitisation requirements, and how popular staycations are this year, no surprise really. Retired couple first time motorhome hirers (nervous) it was everything we where hoping and more.We had exhausted different methods of trying to get from Glasgow to cornwall and Devon due to expensive train, hotel costs and timings involved so decided to investigate motorhome hire to let us enjoy our holiday without rushing around and thank goodness we did.We booked a week hire in a Fiat ducato t-line 590 a superb more compact motorhome which suited us fine.Having the booking confirmed we received a link to an instructional video where everything was explained on the workings of the motorhome and on the day of the pickup we met a really friendly manager John at the Glasgow depot who took the time out to explain to me some points that I was not quite sure of and our holiday began.The motorhome itself was almost new,simple to drive, fantastic to look at and the internal design was amazing, Everything was provided for your comfort and ease of use although we did have to bring our own clothes and toiletries lol....Sadly we did have to return the motorhome today as our week hire is up but looking back over the week and the things we done and the freedom it gave us to explore at our pace and leisure we will definatley use Atlas again for our next holiday.

Great company. Picked up the vehicle on the outskirts of Glasgow and had good advice about the best way to get to Fort William considering the width of the Motorhome. All the vehicles appear to be very new and latest models. Friendly staff too. Nice and easy to book, with lots of helpful online videos and clear pick up and drop off instructions. We were lucky enough to get a motorhome that had done less than 2,500 miles, although all the vehicles look relatively new. Further, the motorhome had essential crockery items for when away, so all we had to bring was some toiletries, towels, blankets, clothes and food to get us started. I liked how the vehicles didn't have any hire graphics and this made the whole experience seem more authentic. Was good to see a neighbour had also hired from the same company.

As a first time motorhome user I would highly recommend this company. Probably the best way to see the North Route 500 allowing you access to some breathtaking views. The T590 I used was perfect for 2 people. Plenty of room once the bed was elevated to the ceiling at the push of a button. A well functioning shower and loo. It’s my understanding that the vehicles are bought new and kept only for a year so everything feels relatively new and fresh. The staff members we dealt with were very friendly, professional and helpful especially to someone as inexperienced as I. This model is a perfect size for the single track roads and the passing places. It never felt underpowered and coped well with uneven roads. Communication with Atlas by email was prompt and helpful. The vehicle itself was very well equipped even including a corkscrew and cheese grater! Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience made all the easier by all those at Atlas. The van is fine to drive especially with the auto-box, just don't be in a rush. Just had 16 days in the Highlands, Skye and Lewis & Harris in amazing weather. Atlas and their T590 was an excellent choice of company and vehicle. The quality of the vehicle given it was four years old was excellent. They also dealt with the slight scrape on the bumper we had made very fairly. We highly recommend. My only comment would be that the kitchen is not well equipped, most notably no beer or wine glasses, only tiny glasses only suitable for small glass of juice. Also there were no coat hangers. Quick trip to Tesco solved this bit rather strange omissions from such an excellent company. Would definitely us them again.

The folks at Atlas Motorhome have been amazing!! They were so fantastic and flexible when we made our arrangements far in advance. Then the whole COVID pandemic happened and we thought we still might be able to go but things just got worse and it was clear we had to cancel. Hired a 5 berth motor home and the vehicle was great, as was the service. They update the vehicle availability page on their website daily, so everything can be done online. I emailed a couple of enquiries and they responded almost immediately - much better than other hire companies who didn’t even return my call. Would use again, and would definitely recommend.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Atlas and certainly plan to use them again having had a great 9 days in the motor home. The company were professional and informative before pick up and on return. Van was spotless on delivery, all equipment was well explained on how to use. Even at 7.3 metres long the van was easy to drive and park using the mirrors and reversing camera. The interior of the van was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. The bed above the cab did not feel confined and was extremely comfortable. We had our two Springer Spaniels with us and had more than enough space for them. The rear storage compartment was spacious and took all our wet weather gear which was needed whilst we travelled the NC500 in rather wet and windy weather.

My partner and I decided to book a last min NC500 trip after a disappointing green list announcement. Made an initial enquiry online and received a call the next day from atlas - from that point onwards the service has been faultless. Over the phone they were extremely helpful and answered any queries I had, including general tips for doing the nc500 route. John doing the check in and check out with us again was extremely friendly and helpful. Vehicle itself was great, our friends who we met half way, commented on how impressive certain features were. Atlas was very professional and helpful throughout the process. We rented a 2+2 vehicle for a family of 4 (2 small kids) for 7 nights. It was clean and equipped just as we ordered. Functionality of the living space was good and the fuel mileage was surprisingly good. We particularly appreciated Atlas's policy of using new vehicles each season. Our only suggestion would be to include a wastewater hose with the vehicle. We stayed at several sites where we could not take advantage of the at-site drain. But this was a minor limitation that did not hinder us much. We strongly recommend Atlas and would use them again.

Just returned from a Hebridean Island tour followed by Skye in an Atlas Motorhome (4 berth). Along with friends who hired the same model of van, we travelled in convoy and had a few people expressing interested in the vans en route. The van was ideal for our needs, travelling with 2 children and through Scotland’s changeable weather. The staff at Atlas we’re extremely professional and personable from point of booking through to van collection and drop off, further enhancing our overall excellent experience. The van was immaculate and ideal for camping both on designated sites as well as some wild camping nights too. The communications from Atlas both prior and on the day of collection was fantastic and Richard spent a lot of time with us going over everything with the van. Have to say I was thoroughly impressed by Atlas at all stages from answering questions, booking and the actual pickup and drop off. Website is professional with a lot of info and we were able to book and pay early and receive a discount. Lots of prompt response to a number of questions that we had beforehand. Atlas have a fleet of about 30 vehicles and all are replaced each year so you know that you will have something with a low mileage and clean and tidy. Handover was v comprehensive and the vehicle included a detailed user guide which was useful. I'd have no hesitation in using Atlas again which for me is the acid test

The walk-through that we received was great and very knowledgable (which was needed with all the different parts!) We spent our trip 50/50 between wild "camping" and caravan sites. We hired one of the two person Toyota Granvia campervans for a week at the end of September and had a fantastic time. The staff were friendly and efficient and very helpful when giving advice on where to visit. The vehicle was clean, in good condition and had everything we needed - it was also great to drive and the handbook was thorough. We arrived at Glasgow airport and pick up and drop off was quick and easy with the option of a transfer by the Atlas team over to the depot in the city. Hired camper van for 9 days from Richard and his team, we had the family van with the u-shaped eating area at the back which converts to large double, with a huge double above the drivers cab, and small double which converts to dining area, just perfect for what we needed. Camper was clean, and brand new looking, easy to drive, and all the controls were easy to use, at night we were snug as a bug in a rug..... No complaints whatsoever........

Just returned from another 5 day tour of North West Scotland with a motorhome hired out of Glasgow. We've done this around Easter many times and with several hire companies over the years but have returned to Atlas the last three times. The vans are maintained in excellent condition and replaced regularly; ours this year, a 6 berth rear lounge model, had 120 miles on the clock! Richard and John make the handover process comfortable and friendly; there's plenty of room to load between car and van and then leaving our own car in their secure yard is great. We're hoping to be back next year for another adventure.

Having read lots of reviews on different Motorhome Hire Companies in Scottland we were a little coutious of all the things which could go wrong with a rental car and how vulnerable one is, if the motorhome just doesn't live up to what is promissed. We loved our motorhome experience. The motor home was clean and easy to drive. The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked all meals on all the 14 days of our trip. The bed was comfortable. We were two adults and a child and our motorhome (2-4 birth premier motor home) fit us very well, even though we had many luggages. The motorhome was very spacious. All other accessories like picnic chairs, windbreaker etc were off good quality. We would definitely recommend Atlas for anyone.

Called & spoke to Richard on the Friday, booked on the Saturday & picked up on the Sunday!! Very easy process, John who we collected our Motorhome from was very helpful, showed us around our new home for the next 10 days, and gave us some great tips. Very easy & comfortable to drive. Bed was very comfortable & cosy too. Very easy to cook in van & fridge was exceptionally cold which my Husband loved!! Ice cold milk with his weetabix!! Heating was brilliant & we always had hot water for our showers. We drove from Glasgow, all around the Welsh coast & back, a great experience. Most garages have a tap to fill the water, we filled this every 2 days & it was easy to empty the toilet & grey water, we only needed to do this twice in 10 days. We only needed to fill the gas once while we were away, this was a little trickie as the guage went from full green to red, so not a lot of warning it was empty, it was Friday night & not every garage sells LPG. Had to call lots of garages but none had & then we just stopped at every garage on our route South until we found one!! Easy to fill once we had found the stuff!!! Shower is small but you are able to do every day!! Never realised until this trip how many car parks have height restrictions 😝 but we always found somewhere to park!! Overall a great experience will definitely do again!! Thank you Richard & John 👍

Service from Atlas was excellent and they are easy to do business with. It would have been good to have been supplied with a pair of levelling blocks which we would have used a couple of times if we'd had them. The lack of insurance cover for the top parts of the motorhome made us a bit nervous. We were obviously careful to avoid any damage but the potential for an accident that wouldn't have been covered was always there. Anyway, that didn't spoil our holiday and we would use Atlas again.

We hired a Motorhome from Atlas over the last weekend. I arrived to collect the hire which was ready and waiting for me. Paperwork was straightforward, honest and understandable. No hidden charges involved and Richard was clear that the security deposit was a pre authorisation only. On inspection of the Motorhome there were a few minor faults on walk round which were added to the paperwork so that I didn’t have to worry about these being thought of as mine on return. In terms of cleanliness, it may have been to some people’s standards, but I spend a couple of hours cleaning and hoovering the van before taking my family out...that’s not a complaint, just a personal preference especially in theses covid days. The shower though did have hair in the plug and was pretty dirty, but as I say I was doing a thorough clean myself. Any queries I sent by email were quickly and effectively answered and I have to say my family had a wonderful weekend in our home from home. Thank you for your friendliness & professionalism from start to finish! Having hired Motorhomes in the past from other companies, I won’t be going anywhere else for my next adventure and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Richard and his team to anyone.

Richard and John were both very friendly and extremely helpful, making the whole booking and hiring experience both easy and fun. Our children (5 and 7) LOVED the holiday, saying it was one of the best we've had - so no more expensive overseas holidays anymore!! The motorhome offered almost all of the facilities needed (we didn't use the shower) and gave us wonderful time together. The best was being able to stop for the kids loo break en route, simultaneously brew up a cuppa and enjoy the stunning Scottish landscape. We had some great family dinners too prepared on the gas stove and eaten round the dining table. Motorhome was very warm too. My husband found it easy to drive - not much different to a big transit van he said and we had some useful guidance from John before setting off on things to be aware of.

We spent 3 weeks travelling through the Lakes District, Snowdonia, down to Landsend, back up through the Midlands and then scooting around south east Scotland. We put the 2 berth Luxury Motorhome through its paces on busy motorways and quiet, ridiculously narrow, roads. What a great little vehicle. To our surprise we came to the end of the hire without once contemplating a night in a hotel, despite some big weather changes. Hi - Our T-Line 590 on collection was spotless & we received a precise & clear briefing on all the operational aspects of the motorhome. We arrived at 11.30am & were on our way by mid-day heading north towards the Highlands & beyond. Didnt take me long to get accustomed to the handling of the motorhome & the auto gearbox which was perfect enabling me to maintain 2 hands on the steering wheel at all times. Out of the 10 nights we spent 6 'wild camping' in some magnificent locations & the weather was unusually very kind to us in October - even so it was always nice to have a warm camper to return back to after walking Bert the Border on the beach. Our last night was spent at an official camp site enabling us to empty & fill, then a quick clean before returning 11.30am, took us 10 minutes to un-load into our car which was waiting for us, then again a quick de-brief/check-over & we were on our way home within 30 mins. So basically my wife, myself & Bert the Border would highly recommend Atlas should you be thinking of hiring a motorhome from Glasgow.

The Office is in Glasgow: if you pick up at an AirPort or in Edinburgh they will take the van with the hired equipment to you: so best decide about what equipment to hire beforehand online!
