p.Overall very good. I've rented several cars here over the years. It all works - big shuttle bus pick-up at the terminal, drop-off right outside entrance at the Car Rental Village, all companies in one place. Same ease of use when dropping off and returning to airport.
Not all car rental companies there are of the same calibre but that's not the fault of the village itself. I would only suggest a more frequent shuttle connection (or more than one shuttle bus), especially at busy times with high volumes of inbound traffic. I don't think we've ever waited at the terminal for less than 15 minutes, which is a bit more than the published times. Catching a bus back though, has always been far quicker. Not sure how that works but that has always been the case.
Another positive is proximity to the motorway - one straight road in less than 5 minutes and you're there. Couldn't be simpler.
I'd recommend getting your car here because it's just so convenient.
L. H.Greeted by a really nice lad. Obvs talked us into upgrading. We intended to go auto, ended up going hybrid 🙄 Nice car for us two. Tried getting a few passengers in, different story. All in all OK but had a hybrid not sure we'll do it again. Great service though

C.Counter staff were good, although did have a windscreen insurance add on that I wasn't told about, disappointed with the car, a Dacia Sandero, definitely not a good car for rental, car wasn't in the bay it was supposed to be, had to go find someone to help find the car, outside of car was dirty causing panic when I got it out of the darkness of the car park to the the first stop for breakfast, don't know what it was that was on the roof but it looked as though roof was badly scratched, took a good half an hour to clean it.
Apart from the car quality to price ratio being terrible, the the counter staff and Avis car park staff made the experience flow well.
J. M.It's a big small place if that makes sense. They have a main building which is small but sometimes the staff are at the huts, out side by the parking lots. So you may have to walk to another site to pick up your car. But I had no issues, being a US driver too.

Through at quite some distance from the terminal there is a dedicated bus running from the terminal to the rental village. There was one even on a Sunday evening at 17.30. night sure how frequent this service is. Pick up and drop off are quite straight forward and well supported by the staff!!

There are also a couple of other companies that aren't based at the Car Rental Village, so just be wary of the company address before jumping on the bus!
R. M.Easy to find when dropping my hire car off. A quick check of the car was completed before I had to sign the handover sheet. I have been stung by car hire companies beforehand so hoping there are no hidden charges. I had a queue of cars behind me so felt quite rushed to sign and move on.

Simple check in to receive the car. Even asked me what type of car I'd like to drive. Very friendly and put me at ease after a 4 hour flight.
Went round the car with me, showed how it worked etc.
Overall very happy with the service it was so straightforward with no hidden costs. My 4th time hiring with them and first time hiring a car (instead of van).
I always choose these guys as they are very transparent and never try anything dodgey. They might be more expensive than others but the risk and also the deposit is less. Nice touch that you can reduce your excess to zero too for an extra price.
10/10 would definitely hire a car from you guys again, thank you

P. B.It was easy to catch the bus to the car rental Village. Once there there's only one building to really go into so it's easy to find a place to rent a car. Since the bus drops you off directly in front of it you're not going to get lost. It was easy to return the car as well and it's close enough to the airport to be able to make your way back even if the bus is not running.
J. L.»the staff are nice and it's bright inside but the bus drop-off is one of the worst thought through places ever designed. Everyone. Getting on and off typically with bags yeah a narrow pavment with tons of barriers that's sensible.

The Rental Village At Manchester is a quirky process, but it actually works....
J. L.First-time user and found it convenient for both pick-up and return when using Manchester Airport and the dedicated bus-service from the terminal buildings..
P. C.Nothing special, but serves its purpose. A little out the way so you need to take a shuttle bus from or to the airport terminals. I had to go back out to Terminal 1 to fill the car with fuel upon returning as that's the closest petrol station and didn't want stinging with the extortionate fuel rates they quote. I didn't really appreciate the hard sell on upgrades and insurance extras when I'd clearly booked the cheapest car possible through RentalCars with Europcar. You can get better deals if you have a credit card.
K.Hassan the Enterprise guy was terrific! He processed the vehicle quickly, helped us move our luggage as we had lots of it, helped my family with an umbrella as it was raining. Top service from him.
T. A.Perfectly arranged. Already had a rentel car a couple of times and got served very well every time. It is also very easy to get there by bus from the airport and the other way arround. On the road the signs of the village clearly tells you where you should go. Perfect.
B. F.I hired with SIXT. The staff were great. I got a free up grade to a practically new, Kia Sportage SUV, having originally booked an Insignia. On return there was guy there who checked the vehicle over and gave it a clean bill of health. I received an email to that effect before I'd even left the village!

B. J.Very polite, efficient and prompt service with Alamo/Enterprise. The shuttle bus is a bit of a hassle though, having to hump luggage about on a crowded bus.

R.First time ever for me to use Sixth car rental / Economy cars but in the words of Arnold Swartsnegger " I'll be back" Wow!!!!!!!! how pleased was I, when I originally booked I got a basic small car of the Corsa group so you can imagine when I picked it up I had been given a free upgrade because I asked for a sat nav they gave me a Renault Capture what a motor not only did it make my day it made my whole weeks break seeing my family I will 100%,use them again I know you don't always get an upgrade but like I said it made my week. Highly Recommended.
