A.Bit of an old fashioned company in that there's no real online booking system, the processes are a little archaic (I rent regularly and am constantly asked for the same details & documents over and over). However, you deal with people who are always polite and courteous. Nor have I had any "computer says no" incidents either! Cars are very clean, check-in and check-out is one of the most thorough that I've seen, no corners are cut, cars are always full of fuel etc. Group AA cars have always been Kia Picantos which are appropriately named "City cars" because their fuel economy on motorways is poor - 37mpg. Currently only operating from their Van Hire base due to Covid.

L. S.Great customer service and lovely staff. Fast turn around and really helpful. My own car had finally died and I needed a hire car for a week to commute and find a new one. I did a search online and there are a couple of other car hire places that would have been slightly cheaper, but they were out near the airport and some had dubious reviews. I chose Salford car hire because I have had such positive experiences at Salford Van Hire in the past and I knew I would get good service.
During the hire, a 3rd party drove into the side of my hire car whilst it was parked. Salford car hire engaged with the 3rd party insurers and were able to return my full deposit within 12 days of returning the damaged vehicle without me having to spend any time sorting it out - for which I am extremely grateful.
I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
A. E.This is possibly the best place to rent a 9 seater minibus as everywhere else was an extra £200. The process to renting is alittle more 'paperworky' and the insurance policy doesn't offer as much protection as other hirers.
All this being said, the rental was affordable and the staff were patient and friendly.
