I am very satisfaced with this company, I rent a van for 1 week, the price is amazing 190£ while several other companies were 280£ or more. The van had plenty of space I thought it was smaller and when I opened such big spaces, they were very helpful, they gave me the van around 10:30 and they gave me of time until 11am of the same day next week so like spare time just in case. Keep up the good work

I like to hire from here as prices are very good compared to other city centre rentals. Sometimes the cars are a little "no frills" but I've never had any issues. I've also on a few occasions been able to just turn up (with needed paperwork) on the day and managed to hire a van to complete errands.

Professional and courteous service at good price for a brand new van. But having taken a weekend deal, I found that i had finished with it early and returned it to save me the bother of coming in on the Monday morning. Instead of getting just my deposit back, I got an extra £42, because I was switched to a daily rate as it was cheaper without even asking. That to my mind is excellent customer service. Will use them again.

Quick service if you have the right paperwork in hand. Always call to see if vans are available. Always take pictures and videos of the vehicle before leaving the compound. Make sure they mark all the damages down on your rental agreement. Staff here a friendly and helpful. Location is abit hard to park your own vehicle. I wouldn't recommend leaving your person vehicles near by. Would recommend getting dropped off to the compound.

What a fantastic company spoke to a fella called Anthony he explained what was needed to hire the vehicle, some firms don’t require so much but it wasn’t a problem at all. Staff still wearing masks and looks like they are still following Covid 19 guidelines which was good, there was a bit of queue but at least I was acknowledged and told I’ll be with you in a minute. Again nice touch. When getting served I presented the documents required, Licence, DVLA summary print out and 2 proofs of address within a 2 month period. The entire process was done by Tim I think, I did ask for his name but with masks and screens it can be hard to hear and I was soon off. It’s nice to see that your allowed to take photos of the vehicle even though they do this themselves. Will definitely recommend and use again if I need to move my kids again.

As always, a simple easy rental process. On this occasion I had an issue with the tail lift which was sorted at my location within a few minutes of reporting. No.1 for truck hire.

Such good service at competitive prices. We were advised to just call up in the morning of hiring to check the availability of vans. Within 2 hours of calling that morning we were driving away - staff were really friendly and professional. Only advice is to have all documents including proof of address, DVLA code and full-driving licence ahead of arriving as this speeds up the process for both parties. I've used Salford Van Hire several times. This time when my van broke down but I still needed to work. Spoke with Jim and he was fantastic. They didn't have MWB I needed but within half hour of initial call I was in LWB for cost of MWB. Highly recommended.

Called lots of companies and nobody would hire me a van due to being 21 apart from Salford van hire. Went in with all relevant documents as explained over the phone. Employees openly mocking customers after they put the phone down but i found it funny. There was an older woman who didn’t have too much humour left in her but was pleasant. Wasn’t made aware of £500 deposit over the phone but oh well. Paid for the van , it was great however side door didn’t work but such is life. Handed it back and no problems with returning deposit. Will be using them again !

Just dropped off van after a 24hr hire for a flat move. Whole process was problem free, quick collection and drop off, competitively priced, new and tidy van which drove well, definitely use again.

So where do I start. The range is amazing they have a great deal of Van's but if you want it for the weekend book a week in advance and dont just turn up expecting them to have Van's spare, same with Lutons. Problems, for me the staff are great when you are interacting with them, really nice. Problem is when you walk in and no one else is there, like today, it took them 7 minutes to acknowledge my existence. All that was needed was a quick, "I'll be with you in a couple of minutes love". Instead you stand there like a plum looking into space not knowing if you even exist.... When the service does come, bants is good and communication is great, a little long as you dot the i's and cross the t's but at least they are communicating. Then you sit there for between 15 and 40 minutes, seriously I've a one time or another been sat there for 40 minutes, even after asking, "what's going on"? Your taken outside by the guys on the ground and left with your van after the usual checks. Today I drove off and found that at the bottom of the hill the brakes were none existent, like me in the reception'! Seriously it scared me, 'had to use the gears for breaking. I didn't want to take it back as I didn't have another 30 minutes to wait as them to change the van. I trudged on and found more issues. The ESP was broken, the steering wheel was non responsive to an alarming extent, the steering wheel didn't line up correctly. Gear box shot, cruise control inoperable, air blowers at the side didn't work, seats filthy. In the back they had wooden rails to attach stuff to. Most that were attached, (not all were) were attached by pollyfilla or wood glue, didn't really trust it to hold and had to come up with a trick bit of packing to wedge stuff in. Back doors never fully shut on any of the Lutons I've hired, that's down to the users treating them like rubbish. All in all I have used Salford Van Hire over 70 times in the last few years and they are brilliant I'd much prefer them to Enterprise and other hire companies, I just wish customer service was better and the Van's were less dangerous than today's. I want to make it clear that out of all the times I've used them todays was the worst I've had and I can count on my hand the ones that have been difficult to drive due to the age and usage of the vehicle. I do love Salford Van Hire they are great but work on that first contact and the long waits in reception as that is a real turn off. Keep the customers informed as to where they are upto and make them feel comfy. Thanks guys for all the times I've had a van and all the time to come when you help me with my van needs.

This is how I wish van (or car) hire could be every time. - Great prices - Quick service - No bull Normally whenever I hire a car I feel like I am some how going to end up paying more. With Salford Van Hire, I felt like I was being treated fairly. I would highly recommend.

Make sure you film the condition of all of the vehicle as you are being shown around it. Be thorough and take your time when doing so. When dropping of a hired vehicle the guy said I'd bumped a panel. He could see I was fully prepared to contest that and he just accepted I hadn't straight away. Generally they are quick and efficient and good to hire from but you can imagine how this would have gone if I wasn't prepared to stand my ground. May all be innocent stuff bit video evidence prior taking the vehicle would be useful in such a situation. Would have been four stars if this hadn't have happened.

Recently hired a van with Salford Van Hire out of their Manchester Branch. Service was fast, efficient and polite. Staff were all helpful, including the gentleman who walked us around the vehicle to cover any damages/marks before handing us the keys. No room for improvement on this side at all, despite being extremely busy the morning we got our vehicle. Price was unbeatable by any other local (or national/international) firms. I paid for the collision damage waiver, and unfortunately damaged the van (sorry about that again!) fairly badly. This was not a problem, I simply signed a form stating that how, when and where the accident happened, and whether other parties were involved. Deposit refunded into my account long before they suggested it would be (5 working days, actually took less than 2), despite the damage caused to the van (highlighting they take the collision damage waiver, at £16 per day for a SWB van at time of writing) seriously. Good service, will be back (and I promise I won't crash the van this time)

Amazing staff, especially the two ladies on reception. They made everything so easy for us, nothing was too much trouble. Kind helpful and so cheerful, even on a hot sunny day and extremely busy, they both went out of their way to make our mini bus hire such a pleasant experience. I would definitely book the bus again. Salford van hire are very lucky to have such fabulous staff! (The 9 seater mini bus was very good quality and very economical on fuel). Thank you ladies!

Great place if you need a van. They come in lots of different sizes. I recommend the Citroen Relay. You could get anything in the back of that van. I managed to squeeze in a couple of grand pianos and there was still room! Thank you SVH! Excellent customer service and helpful staff.

Good selection of vans and trucks located in deepest Salford in the shadow of Strangeways. No frills. You pays your money (competitive rates) you takes your van. All good, if you're ok with a slightly chaotic reception/ office environment. Beware....once you're asked to sit and wait for your vehicle to be prepared, you could be there a while. To the people behind the counter in front of you, you have now become invisible. You can only wait while some random bloke who has been handed your “ticket” goes to get your vehicle. This could take a while. It was worse for me. When I returned my vehicle I was asked to wait, so I waited, and I waited. Eventually one of the “random blokes” who wander in and out noticed me and asked what I was waiting for. Turns out another one of the “random blokes” had left my ticket in the in-tray, and non of the staff had noticed. I'd sat there almost half an hour! I think a customer service improvement plan is in order. The staff all appear too busy with the phones and paperwork to bother with you. Also there is no facility to park your own vehicle while you're hiring. You just take pot luck, parking on the street outside. Right next to Strangeways, somehow not reassuring.

Best van rental. But annoying that the booking process isn't great as the 1st time i booked i rang back to alter the pickup time and i wasnt on the books... so it was a good job i called. Second time i booked an LWB and on arrival no LWB vans left... but they still sorted me a big enough alternative. They do what they say. However. The box van I got was terrible. Dirty. Marked everywhere. Literally every panel was marked. The roof had a leak. Yes u get what u pay for. But sometimes you’d rather pay that little more and get something u can drive. I didn’t wanna tough the wheel. Felt it was a waste of 85.00. How do I make a complaint ? Kept my goods in the truck. The leak on the roof damaged my cabinet I was carrying. It’s jus piss poor.
