What an amazing company! They helped us have a really wonderful work social of a sunset paddle session... Everyone loved it, not bad for a group of 16 beginners. It was exactly what we needed to relax and have some fun. Adam was great with communication through the whole booking process, and answering my 100s of questions. All the staff on the day were so friendly and helpful, and the safety demo before was really useful. I cannot reccommend them enough!

Brilliant company, would recommend to anyone. The young girls who check you in are very helpful and provide ample advice for beginners as I watched them do for some younger first timers. Dry bags available, life jackets provided and also water cases for your phone at £5 a pop. All in all a seamless experience and will definitely be back again soon.

What an amazing way to spend a Saturday in the sun. We had a little mishap during our booking but that was immediately recovered by the team at Norwich Paddleboard Hire. The team was extremely accommodating and a pleasure to work with. 5 stars simply for their excellent customer service. It was our first time using this company and I will gladly recommend this outing to anyone. New, quality equipment was provided. The connecting pub is quite fun as well.

Third time renting from these guys and first time from their new launch place at Gibraltar Gardens. Went for an early morning slot and we were not disappointed. The new paddle boards are really great, good grip and great for balance. We were provided with life jackets and set off quickly down river. Brilliant, friendly service. Wouldn’t hire from anyone else!

We had a great time, the staff were extremely helpful. There are a variety of boards available for hire such as solo, tandem or for a family of 6. It's a must, even for those who don't like water. The boards are extremely solid, just don't drop your oar. Very peaceful.

Great day on the river today with fantastic bird and wildlife including a Turtle. We brought our own boards and kayak with us from Southampton, however the pump for kayak was faulty, so Tamsin helped us out with additional boards and kayak. Tamsin was also very friendly and helpful getting myself and teenagers in and out of the water. Would definitely recommend a visit and hire of equipment.

Turned up to be greeted by very friendly staff. The “how to”session was informative and relaxed. Launching the board was made easy no rushing lots of information. We booked a group session for a birthday trip. Pukki the dog was so welcoming (as were the rest of the team). The water was beautifully wet and instructions were very instructional. A great time was had all round, especially with a drink in the beer garden afterwards. A birthday well spent!

We just wanted to say thanks for an amazing day out. Our two families had a great time especially since the 13 year old in our party could join us after being in hospital with a serious condition 10 days earlier. It was great that everyone could enjoy exploring, learning how to Paddleboard for the first time, see some wildlife and explore the water! We felt great satisfaction that everyone managed to stand up and paddle. The kids had a great time and can’t wait to come back. The pub was great for lunch and then more paddling in the afternoon. Adam couldn't do enough for my friend and I. We went on a Thursday so it was quiet. They have a couple of changing room/areas by the river. I took my own board and Adam even offered to inflate mine for me. If you hire a board from him, he gives a graded discount on each visit. If you have been meaning to have a go at SUP, go and see Adam. Pub next door is great for a drink.

What a wonderful 2.5 hours paddle boarding yesterday, we hired an instructor to be with us while we were on the water which was worth every penny. Jazz was so approachable and we had a good laugh. This was our first time as a family paddle boarding and we also had a kayak for our 5 year old son who has complex needs. Firstly, the staff, Megan and Jasmine were amazing, very friendly, knowledgeable and kind. Megan took into account my youngest sons additional needs, she was very receptive to him wanting to hold her hand and whilst fitting his life jacket she took her time and checked with me about his sensory needs before tightening the life jacket. Jasmine did not rush any of us whilst we boarded the kayak or paddle boards and the same when we returned. We had a fabulous time and will def be returning. I cannot thank Megan and Jasmine enough for making our first time relaxing and enjoyable. I would highly recommend even those with little ones.

Easy to book and great communication. On arrival, we were met by very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Soon got on our boards and off down the river. Signage all the way down the river. Super friendly and helpful staff. I arrived in Norfolk and found my own board wasn't inflating. Rang them up for advice. Staff did all they could over the phone to help to save me a drive, but eventually said come down. They helped me resolve the issue and didn't charge me a thing. Cannot recommend highly enough :)

What a great day. Myself, my friend and my nephew had such a lovely day making the most wonderful memory at this paddle board destination. We were served by a really nice, helpful and vibrant woman called Megan. If you’re looking for an exciting day out and an affordable cost then this is the place to go!

Had a lovely afternoon on the wensum. Hires 3 boards and a kayak. We managed to get to the red lion, which is a lovely spot for lunch. Although the wind was against us on the way back, which made us a little late returning our boards. The team were we understanding. We were able to park for £5 at the pud, but apparently there is free parking on near by streets. We were also able to borrow water proof bags, which were super useful, especially if in the kayak!

Norwich paddleboard is a must for everyone who fancies it, or loves paddle boarding already. ✨the girls were fab, explained everything so throughly, ✨ beautiful scenery we turned left, which the girls recommended✨We could of been anywhere so tranquil! I was a virgin to paddle boarding which made it even more fun! ✨there were moments of wobbles & giggles but remembering the instructions & tips from the girls there wasn’t any splashes thankfully! Absolutely recommend it to anyone! We also left our belongings safely but waterproof bag are provided so you can get a pic or 2 like the one below so your phone can be with you.

We cannot recommend Norwich Paddleboard Hire enough! We (husband, two children, aged 9 and 7 and I) hired two kayaks for the morning and we had so much fun. The kayaks were first class, the scenery was stunning and the girls at Norwich Paddleboard Hire were so friendly and helpful. We cannot wait to return.

the staff were very friendly, helpful, easy to understand and happy to help and to talk. I think overall it was a very enjoyable experience and the paddleboarding itself was surprisingly easy to get the hang of after you get balanced. their membership cards are an excellent idea and although I haven't personally tried them yet, the tandem and ten-person paddleboards seem like great fun. I also think that you get a nice amount of time and the option of going for a more scene route or into the city, and personally I loved having that choice. lastly, on the first time they gave a short, simple and yet helpful lesson with an enthusiasm that is often rare to find. would highly recommend and would give ten stars if I could.

To add to this experience, the staff at 'Norwich Paddleboard hire' are extremely friendly, helpful and supportive. This was our first family experience in a kayak and we will definitely be coming back for more. Another plus point is, the site is located from the Gibraltar Garden pub, so there is the option to get drinks/food from their beer garden after your paddle. Highly recommend!

Booked for a sunset session on the tandem board. It wasn't coming up as an option online but I rang up and and this was soon amended. Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Had a fab time, highly recommended.

Such a fantastic way to spend a few hours on the Wensum. Having paddle boarded a few times this particular section of the river is very pretty and you have a choice to head into the city or upriver. This location is also a popular swimming spot so very safe and clean if you happen to fall in. Lots of wildlife and always spot the Kingfisher! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and even allowed me to come back on a quieter morning free of charge to finish my session as my initial booking sadly got caught very short after due to a school Chicken Pox emergency. The boards are the biggest I've been on. At 12 feet they are solid, sturdy and great for first timers. You have the pub too which is a bonus. Great food at a reasonable price and perfect if you happen to time it alongside one of their BBQ's. Has to be my favourite spot at the moment and have booked again.

Adam and his team are very welcoming and make you feel at ease whilst giving clear and easy instructions on how to use/balance on the boards. Once you get used to being on the water, it really isn't as hard as it may look and is actually quite a gentle workout that you might not feel til the next day haha! Having hear a lot of really good reviews about Norwich paddle board hire, my better half and I decided on giving it a go for a different date night.. I was a little nervous to start with as I’m not the greatest swimmer but after being welcomed by the team and given very detailed safety talk, my confidence felt better. Booking the date I wanted was really easy via the website and finding the location was even easier. The river location is stunningly beautiful and long with the wildlife we came across as the sunset. Even though I fell in twice, we loved every minute to the point, that we booked up again while having a drink and a bit to eat at the Gibraltar gardens pub. (Same location).

If you have been thinking about giving paddle boarding a try or are thinking of trying an outdoor activity then I would really recommend Norwich Paddleboard hire. I had an incredible experience at Norwich paddleboarding's yoga session this weekend and I already can't wait to get back on a board and on the water again. The location is perfect, a beautiful spot nestled in the middle of the city with really knowledgeable and lovely staff all for a reasonable price. Once you're on the board and paddle a few meters along the river you will forget you are in the middle of the city as you're surrounded by beautiful wildlife and nature. I was slightly reserved about doing yoga on a board and on water but it was the most relaxing and wonderful yoga session I have had. I can't recommend them enough and I am already looking forward to my next visit and exploring more of the river on a board:) Thank you so much for creating this wonderful place and offering such a fun activity.

The girls at Norwich Paddleboard Hire were extremely lovely and approachable, I have been paddleboarding a couple of times before and have never been provided with such a fabulous demo previous to this. The ability to leave valuables and shoes with the stand was a nice touch and great that it was next to a pub where you could have a drink after and use their facilities. Just a couple of criticisms would be that, for me personally the life jacket was either not very well fitted around the shoulders or way too snug around the bust area (it was fine and comfortable enough just have had better fitted ones in the past) and the phone case holder (whilst great) was super difficult to open to get the phone out and back into the case again. But other SUP hire places don't even provide a phone holder so it was fabulous that this was provided. Finally, hints or tips for getting out of the water would have been a really good idea in the future for new people I think? Overall, a FAB day and we even got to see a kingfisher fishing which was super awesome, we will definitely be back again in the future :D

First time trying out the paddleboarding, great little 5 min tutorial then straight out, really relaxing and can't wait to try the full day sessions.

What an amazing 2 and a half hours, there was three of us, one had never paddle boarded before, one and done it once and the other a few times. Booking online was easy, easy place to get to, you can park in the pub car park for £5 and if you buy drinks before / after that is taken off your bill. Staff really friendly and helpful, gave us a ‘how to session’ which was really good and enabled me to be able to get back on the board when I fell off which I haven’t been able to do before as wasn’t shown the correct way, but here they did. Getting on the board to start with was easy and not rushed, a member of staff holds the board whilst you get on. Can not fault this place, well run and a happy and friendly place. Will definitely be back for more fun in and on the river

We paddled upstream and had a lovely time. Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful and feels like you are out in the countryside. We saw kingfishers and had a drink at the pub afterwards. Great fun!
